Ylva is a little wary about walking on the river at first but follows Vadania as the party pick up the pace heading west. Under the effects of Emilys spell they are able to move along the water as if it were a road and soon reach the old mill, or rather what is left of it.

Casting pass without trace before returning to shore the group search the area of the ruins where Emily believes the old passageway to have been hidden, beneath what was once the stables for an inn alongside the mill house. It does not take long to find, as it has been recently uncovered by another.

A shallow ramp leads down into the darkness, a tunnel tall and wide enough for a horse and cart. It seems to follow a natural fissure in the ground that has been enlarged and shaped with both tools and magic.

You can return with a new character or a levelled-up George. The party is currently wandering randomly around the Steadlands changing direction each time a random encounter or new lead pops up. They lack a mage, fighter, and thief.

7th level. Wealth by level (19000gp) for a new character or a flat 14000gp for George.

Takes into account items he already has. You can clear out his inventory and rebuy from scratch at 19000gp if you'd prefer.

The last choice if whether you join the main party heading west or Ka'lion in his cave to the east

Inspecting the entrance to the tunnel Vadania believes there were two individuals, armoured, who came through here only recently. Indeed she thinks she can hear an echoing sound not far away though cannot make it out clearly.

She would guess it has been several days at least since the tunnel entrance was cleared though.

George raises his sheild up and advances twords the light With Shamious covering him with a crossbow.
Given shamious was human george worked it that shamious got his ring of light.


George use to be very laid back but now that he had to give orders, he understands being passive is not realy always the best leader. It was long over due and shamious fallowing his lead has given george a chance to realize this.

Tink will scout ahead in incorporeal form, dimming her light to try and stay hidden in the shadows. Upon seeing George and Shamious, she uses detect evil on them.

Vandalia approached cautiously with Ylva at her side. She pulled the start of sunlight out of her armor to provide bright light around her. She had her wooden sword in hand, ready to deflect any incoming attacks.

But once she got far enough to see who it was down here, she was able to recognize the distinctive George and called out "Hello George, I wasn't expecting to find you here."

Vandalia herself also had a distinctive appearance, with antlers woven into her white hair. But she had changed since George at last seen her. Now her skin itself glowed, as if molten metal moved through her veins instead of blood. Also, her companion Wolf Ylva had gotten significantly larger, now the size of a pony.

Seeing George, Vandalia was no longer worried about an imminent attack. She still kept up her guard, but didn't think that George would attack without good cause. And of course Vandalia had no intention of launching a first attack against the simian cleric and his new ally.

Vadania answered, "I'ts been a while, but I think Ka'lion didn't think I was heading to the barbarians fast enough, so the two of you went out on your own. As for Ka'lion's preferred combat tactic, he runs away. That's why he isn't her now. We found that an army might be tracking us by some items we picked up. So Ka'lion ran back to where we got the items while the rest of us came here. By the way, I'm no longer leader. Tink here (indicating the faery) is now making the decisions."

Im George this is Shamious. I was hoping Ka'lion had changed.

Never the less im not that surprised he hasen't.

I know he is an aquired taste for most im sorry if he has caused any issues. I have only tried to help him, and to forgive his tendencies.

I did not mean for a hostail welcome but he did instill a level checking. tho unlike him i can excapt things how they are. "

Brennen introduces himself and Tink.

Brennen is a raptoran warlock with a broad range of knowledge about many different topics. He can fly and shoot laser beams and blow stuff up—so he's pretty cool. You notice that he seems to be continually surrounded by a veil of moonlight regardless of the prevailing illumination. Tink is Brennen's familiar, a coure eladrin with magic powers relating to good and light. She usually takes the form of an insubstantial globe of light, but she sometimes appears as a tiny fairy.

Shamious finaly speaks up

Im shamious, up til recently i was a blacksmith but I have fighter training.

I surve George here, unfortunately my parents blacksmith shop was destroyed by attacks of I dont recall the name right now but they were goatmen.

I fended off most but one clocked me in the back. When George came in and carried me out to save me. My parents are dead.

My home was set ablaze had george not stoped by i would be dead too.

I can see some of you are old friends of his.

We were here looking for star metal.

We had no luck thus far."

Vadania returns George's hug warmly. Literally, George can feel the heat radiating from Vadania now. One try of a magic ring and she was now permanently a creature of fire.

"Ka'lion wanted us to meet him back at the farmhouse tomorrow. The same farmhouse that's been used as a staging area by one group of bandits after another. I wouldn't be surprised to find the army camped there tommorow, but Ka'lion was sure it wouldn't happen. The army itself didn't seem that dangerous. I just don't want to have to kill large numbers of them."

We wont know how many are there or still in there. And he thinks this is the best meeting location why?

"Sir if I may we do have that spell you have to get most of us in there, i know u like it for excape but it could get a lot of us in there without being seen and set up a perimiter inside. "

George : " Getting in is not my main worry its not having an excape. We must go thinking we will be surrounded or that others are inside. That is why we got to always have an exit plan.

But if we are set in meeting there. We will need magic.

I do have obscureing mist wont make us silent but will prevent others from see our approach. In this new gear i can stealth ok

Shamious not so much. But i can cast fly on him so that wont be an issue too much.

Wait then the mist makes it so we cant see the house. Darn.."

Vadania shrugged. "It's not really much of an issue. Ka'lion has a couple of owls he can send out to scout. And it would be hard to find a better scout than Tink. So I figure we'll try going back tomorrow, but check it out from a distance before we get close Besides Tink, both Brennen and myself can fly. meanwhile we can check out the tunnels for anything interesting."
