Omar along with Varis find a slime trail. Thats still on the main cart highways but it look non humanoid dug.  On the wall sides mucous of green and purples. It smells horid. The walls are  just covered with it.


There are deadbody skeleton stuck within it. The acid ate tge flesh but left the bone behind. It hissesand bubbles. 

to not slow down adventure the party cautiously slides past until they come to the main drop point for gems and such for the main mine.

Callo summons her magical bird to hand and sends it invisibly and, for a bird, surprisingly silently into the tunnels looking for any sign of danger. She hoped a creature as large as was implied would not be able to lurk beneath the surface as stealthily as the others.

Varis, careful not to touch the slime that clung to the cavern walls, nudges Al.

"Any experience with something like this? Is this our worm creature or is there something else out there waiting to dissolve us?"

Gruesome way to end. The question now, were those skeletons all that was left of the miners, or were there still some left behind?

( party is actully comming from the west on the tracks that lead to intersections then to the drop point moving more NE. )


The bird sees hears in the outcropping across the way with in stone shelters but not moving persay. It overhears muttered wispers there are 6 or 8 still alive naybe a few more. Yet not making a sound other themselfs in a hashed tones an argument is going on. Things like " I hope the others made it out to tell Al, they were the fastest of us but seeing shoot at them as they ran for thier life. I would hope he would have been here by now they were eaten i know they were. No! we must think he is on his way i dont want to die here. Yet we will there is no excape.

Its hard to tell given there is dim light sources from low lit lanturnes that seam low on burring oil. They are not risking peeking out and now huddeled in a stony room.

( anyone without darkvision will have a hard time without a light source. )

The slime is below them on the walls. Some places eating at the tracks making to possibly unstable. In the lowest secion yet the north most part of the cave with at least 3 to 4 dozen Large Eggs that were resently dug out in a crecent shaped pit. As tho it was dug in last few days and a pool of glowing water stream runs next to the eggs. As it glows the color of the rainbow emulicent light gives off patterns on the eggs . As does the nearby innor lay gem stones in walls near the eggs and stream start to glow too.

Green and purple slime run all over the lower sections. Carts blasted with slime other minors got caught in the blasts trying to flee the lower and upper sections. Some places more look like it was tarrgeted with a line blast . The pile of Gem stones lay untouched but its more wealth then the party - Al has ever seen. Platinum, emeralds unike glowing ores.


Yet even in the dim light varis sees that some green does not match the but perfect camo and hidding place for a large worm.

He sees the camo shift as tho it was sleeping within the Treasure Hord.

For how long remaines to be seen....

Al in a wisper " I have yet to see a Large worm spit this type of substance for i have never seen it before yet two large things in eachothers hunting grounds pissing a mom off can't be good if its not what we are looking for. Yet that slime looks intentionally done while these were trying to flee. It showed no mercy. Then agian most beasts if fighting to protect young will do just the same. Varis i can only hope its from our target and not something different. Omar i think its time for that spell of yours.

Omar will cast his spell using part of a sample of the slime.

While walking along, listening to Al speak, Varis notices something out of place from the trails of slime that covered the cavern. Something was lying in wait for them. He motions for the party to stop right as Omar claims that there are 4 dozen of the creatures lying in wait. Things were going to get difficult if that was the case. Looking toward the others, Varis points out the spot that appeared to be a worm waiting to ambush.

"Careful, we have company waiting to spring a trap. Don't get to close."

80 down so South. The tracks look unstable due to the slick slime all over it yet can still be crossed on.

So if you see the gray blue mound thats its location of Mama .

Omar i dont think they are full grown my spell picked up anything restated to the monster in question that includeds possible offspring. If its a moma it may have nested and would match killing any within its nest grounds.

In the voice of an excited human youth, Wind whispers, “So, are we really doing this? What’s the plan?”

"If we can bunch the little ones up in one place I can bring down fire on them. Having to deal with them and the large on at the same time would be difficult"

Sven has kept quiet for some time. Contemplating how she went from looking for her gods most dear weapon to fighting in slime covered walls with who knows what else that lies around. She has kept her distance....but is starting to become more trusting of her party, especially after seeing how hard everyone has fought to keep their ground. After keeping quiet and observing for some time she speaks in celestial to her dear Falcor. Falcor nuzzles up to her and puts his muzzle in her hand. She pats him on the head as his giant wings fold up comfortably on his back. Her one and only friend for so long but she can tell that this strange band of companions might end up just what she needs.

Hearing Varis's warnings, she is careful and follows his warnings with no question. Who knows what might befall the party.

Varis nods as Callo speaks. If the young were anything like the gricks they had fought in the previous cavern, they’d be overwhelmed in a heart beat. They would need to clear the numbers quickly.

“Omar, can you tell how spread out they are? Some of us could hold the attention of the large one while the others corale the small ones for Callo to rain fire on. You all have quite the number of tricks up your sleeves and greater range than I. I’ll keep the big one angry and focused on me as long as possible, maybe try to draw it further away from the little ones to give y’all room to work.”

" they are all clustered within inches of eachother not moving so they should all get hit with one or two spells but if they have area they should all be hit. The spell is telling me none have moved yet there is more hidding in the caves below more like honor gaurd given thier size. Perhaps if we stealth in hit the nest we can fight in a two prong fight with the mom. My sword has n
one last trick that should help wipe to smaller ones.

“Makes things easier. With Wind’s spell, we should be able to get fairly close before we strike. How about this? Callo, Omar, get into position where you can see the young. I’ll get directly above the beast and drop down onto it to keep it occupied, that way it cant retaliate on you the moment its young goes up in flame. As soon as I drop, open fire. Wind, Sven, Al, wait just a split second longer in case it’s aware of our presence, then join in. Hopefully if we’re quick enough, we can take this thing out before it ever knows what hit it.”

None, his plan is sound. Yet watch for spray of any kind and brace if you must. We dont want this goo on any of us.

Varis nods at Omars words, judging by what the slime did to the remains they passed, best not to touch it. Drawing his blade, he begins to tip toe forward, prepared to bring swift death from above to his enemy. He glances back at the others, waiting for them to get into place, before he makes his leap.

Callo takes full advantage of Winds spell to sneak forward with the others, her familiars magical darksight letting her pick out the best spot to launch her fireball in order to catch as many targets as possible.
