" Miss Callo there are a number of larger things down here what exactly it is is i dont know. Those are called Gricks but only ones i have ever seen were these little ones. They never end up in this much of a mass. Yet last one darted right before the sound. There is no telling what made that horrendus sound yet. If it does get to the palace i assuer you depending how big it is could cause lots of havic & distrution that i cant let happen. Yet its up to us given we dont have time to get renforcments.

Varis glances back over toward the various holes littering the cavern, not trusting them.
(Perception check just to see if anything is currently coming up through one of the holes or if it seems we're still alone for the moment)

" I like your thinking but we have nothing to lure what ever it is to us. I dont trust these mine walls from collapsing given that sound but those holes from what we know used them are death traps. with no way to fight back in they have the upper hand in them.
Good news is the walls are still iced for now so it may hold together for what we need but thats a guess.
Other issue is we don't know what it wants .
Omar joins in at this point " Well my Godess found ot fitting to let me have a higher learning of spell solection now. One is locate creature its up to 1,000ft but no running water can cross our direct path to it otherwise it wont work. I need what its called or most related to yet of its under say a shapechanging spell if wont find it. So discrption is vital.So downside I have to sort of know what im looking for so blind guessing wont help us there.

Well finding it would help but its a guess into the dark what it could be making you wast a higher magic it might be best to hold onto higher magic for when we confront what ever it is.

What we do know thus far. One,The gricks used this area to get food to bring were? thats what we got from the busted carts and the drag marks. All of those show thats normal behavior for them. A minor goes missing now and again. I only seen these a handfull of times over the many years. I was thinking all of them would die off given lack of food. They never got this far up before until now.
Yet i keep comming to same question: why so many in one place ? Big and little acting as one and acting smarter too. those big ones looked much bigger then they should be.
What i do know is they hate sharing anything. They will eat eachother to live so agian im still not sure why this many were all in one place.
Yet still watch for cave collapses amoung other things. "

Varis sits down along the nearby wall, eyes trained at one of the nearest holes as he thinks things over.
"I suppose we can start small and go from there. We'll see if your workers still live, help them out if possible. Perhaps if one of them live, they can provide more details so that maybe Omar can cast his spell. Regardless, we'll make sure we move forward with caution. I hate the idea of being trapped down in a place like this."

During the rest, Wind thinks about how to convey the danger they’re in, the beast they are tracking, and the complexity of the situation.
He decides to draw, and attempts a cross-section, drawing a bunch of humanoid figures, some shorter than others, and one fine-looking and magestic bird-like one. Underneath them are tunnels, and a large, very large, worm. It does not look happy. Inside its coiled body are several little worms, one of them has a conversation bubble like some writers of picture books include. It says, “Mommy!”

Varis watches Wind draw while the group caught their breath, moving over to sit beside him. He had suspected that his companion, with his unique way with nature, might have some idea of what had let out that scream. Was that a giant worm he was drawing? And babies? Might explain why it would be angry though he wasn’t sure if that was just an artistic addition by Wind. A mother protecting her young would certainly put up a bigger fight if they intruded. Clapping Wind on the shoulder, Varis spoke up,
“Is that what awaits us my friend? Would that be enough for your spell to work Omar or do you need more?”

Wind will be at full if he takes first 3 drinks. He can't split it unfortunately but he will be full hp.
That then leaves the forth drink and 3 more.

Omar will use his as will Al.
Both will be at full hp.
Omar will use his healing word on varis to get up his last down hp.
ZiPZGTc4p_1-4+4 for wisdom. Hey look 8 hp.. varis is full.
Falcor uses some of his hitdice to heal any of his wounds he did not have too many but still good to rest up when he could.
Falcors blood tho is not red like a normal wolfs its blackish.
Party is set to go.
Survival to look for tracks of a large worm,
Nature to inspect the cave to know if it will cave in or not. Pcs will be using passive perception or roll once and have that be them on full alert.
Not a skill chalange per say.
