So, the new campaign setting from WotC is out. Anyone read it? I'm thinking about getting a copy, but I'm not sure yet. What's the opinions floating around here? If it's good, maybe we could start a campaign...

I like the artwork and general overall material composition of the book. (I.E. - Page 'feel' and gloss etc..) I like the idea of the 'Warforged'...living contrsucts that you can play a PC race.
Things I don't like?
The fact that I can't afford hookers anymore thanks to WotC....they have too much of my money already. I'll keep my eyes peeled for a cheap copy, but I doubt I'll run out and buy one.
Anyone else?

Okay, the DA female strikes again... For some reason WotC makes me think of the Stephen King series, but I know that's not right. Help me out here.

If you're asking for a definition of WotC, it's someone you may have heard of:
Wizards of the Coast
You know the people that own D&D. If that's not what you meant, well, sorry for the mis-intrepretation.

you know, you dont have to buy it. if you really want it there are other ways, if you know what i mean. no, not breaking into the shop. [Coffee-induced rant] Wizard always manages to do this better than I, but I'll try... Taking+paying=buying. Taking-paying= stealing And if that didn't make sense, try this: If one takes the product w/o paying for it, the company gets no money for it. If said company receives no money for product, said company soon either a) stops making product b/c it isn't profitable, or worse b) goes out of buisiness completely. TSR, the original D&D company, already went bankrupt once, back in 1998, which is why WoTC bought them, which in turn , was bought by Hasbro. Granted, TSR went under b/c of financial mismanagement as well as overproduction, but back in the day they were making the best stuff ever, i.e. Planescape, Ravenloft, and Dark Sun. All three of which are no longer produced (well, Ravenloft is a seperate story...), b/c the company went belly up. Thus, if you like D&D, and I know you do, you should pay for the products, cause if you don't, eventually they'll stop making the stuff you like. [/Coffee-induced rant]

I readily admit to all on the site that I am new to this and, ehem, and worth nothing more than wearing v-necks, apparently. The dumb female offers her apologies for her own stupidity...

No hard feelings I hope. ;D

I'm on a site surrounded by guys who have been doing this a lot longer than I have. I expect corrections at any time, expecially if I stick my nose in on some threads. If I was insulted by something like that, then I shouldn't be on the site. So of course, no hard feelings. I promise guys, I'm not that hard to get along with. ;D

Well, I picked up Eberron the other day and I ust say that I'm pretty impressed.
The world is very well thought out and detailed.
One of my favorite parts about it is that most of the higher level npc's died in the 102 year war that just ended.
Average level of ranking Npcs is just under 10.
I give the book an A ;D
