Tainted Magic: A duskblade bloodmage does not use a normal stat to determine their magical capabilities, instead they have a degree of magical taint. A duskblade bloodmage may increase their taint without limit at a rate of 1 point per day of meditation to a maximum of 10, but may not reduce it without the use of a Wish, Limited Wish, Miracle, or similarly powerful magic. For every two points of magical taint the character possesses they suffer a -1 penalty on their Wisdom score.
The bloodmage must have a taint equal or higher than the spell level of any spell they wish to cast.

Blood Magic: A duskblade bloodmage may enhance their spells with metamagic without using a higher level spell slot, instead they take a number of points of temporary Constitution damage equal to the adjusted level of the spell when it is cast. For example an empowered (+2) vampric touch (level 3) drains 5 points of Constitution. A duskblade cannot enhance a spell to a level higher than they can cast.
