Well, sort of.
See, report cards from my brothers came home, so my parents disconnected the Internet. Secondly, I stayed up WAY too late two nights playing Diablo II. So my parents COMPLETELY DISABLED my account on my computer.
Anyway, that's why I didn't post at all yesterday. 'pologize for the inconvenience.
But wait? How, then, faced with these two separate and seemingly insurmountable obstacles, am I posting?
Well, first, I know a bit more about telephone systems and Ethernet wiring than my folks think I do---I've run a cable straight from the computer to a phone hook in the wall, bypassing the router they use.
As for the inability to even get on the computer (due to my account being disabled), I found a great program on the Internet (downloaded and copied to a floppy while on another computer) that, when on a floppy, makes the floppy a very unique bootdisk---one that, when inserted into a computer that's booting, takes you straight to a password command shell. Having long since changed my user setting to Administrator AND Backup user (a user even more powerful than the Administrator...just in case), once I got in, I set everything back.
Of course, all of this is very hush-hush. I'm stuck to posting very late at night or early in the morning. Hence, Kenelton's Folly is back to one post/day. Come the school year, when I'm off at college, I hope to get back to two, but that's how it is for now.

I did it the easy way, move out. If you're not under their roof, they can't possibly take it away. But I suppose that some of you may be a bit young still for that. Good luck wiz!

Man you need to put more ranks into your diplomacy skills (Insert nerdy laugh here). Fortunately for my brother and I we have always had way more computer skills than out folks so if they pissed us off we would lock down the screen saver and listen to them yell at us it was fun. Seriously though just bite the bullet, do something nice for them, and then ask for your privileges back. I doubt they will keep you off all summer for one nights infractions. Just make sure you reset everything before they do.

If his parents are anything like mine (who are the reason I have to post from the library now, since I was up late posting one night : , then "doing something nice" will only piss them off even more. Choose your actions carefully, or you probably will end up with loss of priveledges for the summer. I swear, parents can be cool, but smetimes they go over the edge too...

Parents know more that you think they do.
I remember getting caught once or twice myself...

you know, if you really think about it, what can your parents possibly do? they're not gonna throw you down the stairs and tell you not to come back. some times i wonder, why the hell do i listen to them?

You know, this is what happens when you play that crap masquerading as an RPG known as Diablo 2. If you were playing a proper game, like Baldur's Gate, or, like I always tell you, Planescape: Torment, none of this would happen. Your parents would be like, "Hey, you're on the computer all the the time, but wait, what an intriguing storyline and oh, what cool characters are in Torment. You can play as long as you want..." Or something like that. ;D Just messing with you...

*sigh* You should know, kids never get cought by their parents. I beg to differ. My parents have psychic abilities. That and my facial expressions give everything away...

*sigh* You should know, kids never get cought by their parents. *cough* Bullcrap, bullcrap *cough* *cough* bullcrap *cough* Excuse me Parents have this strange ability to catch their kids at something. All they gotta do is look at the phone bill, credit card bill, any document they get. When I got my speeding ticket, they would have known if I hadn't have told. Why? Because they're would be advertisements coming in the mail for a lawyer.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think what is being implied is that children always leave dumb clues parents would have to be imbeciles not to see. I could be wrong, though.

Bah. The point isn't to conceal things from view...it's to conceal them from the mind, so it's not even a possibility. It's almost a boon that the comp's disabled now...for how could I possibly be on it? Therefore, no need to come and check on him. You gotta remember...no one is as paranoid as you are about you being caught. That is, no one will put as much effort into finding out "if he's up to something" as you are willing to put into concealment. In civilian life, anyway. If I make it into the CIA, things will be different.

Wow, then you really need to work on your skills...
I never get cought, I never leave any signs, when they're asking me about something I never make that guilty expression, even if they do suspect something, I just deny it and eventualy they leave me alone.
