Made with a mithral blade quenched in the blood of dwarfs, wrapped in a winter wolf-hide scabbard and set with accents of amber and bloodstone at the pommel and crossguard, the Demon-Quelling Sword is a Large +3 mithral evil outsider bane frost mighty cleaving bastard sword which can be wielded in a single hand as if it were a large sword short. Smaller uses wielding it in this way suffer a -2 penalty to hit for each category to a maximum of -4 (for a small wielder using it two handed).
The weapon deals 2d8 physical damage and 1d6 cold damage, with a critical range of 19-20(x2). Against evil outsiders its bonus increases to +5 and it inflicts an additional 2d6 damage, increasing to 4d6 against any demonic opponent.
The sword allows a wielder with the Cleave feat to make one additional cleave attempt in a round. This may be against an opponent they have already attacked (hit or miss) with a cleave attempt.
The weapon is intelligent, its special purpose is to slay demons during which time it will bless both itself (strikes as good aligned) and its wielder (+1 morale attack and vs feat) and emanates a protection from evil spell. It has 10 ranks in knowledge(planes). INT 12, WIS 10, CHA 12. Ego 13. Hardness 21.
