Trying to get a feel for the crowd here...
What would anyone say to starting up a 3.5 Ravenloft game? For those who don't know, the setting is a horror/fantasy type that runs like a blend of D&D and the White Wolf type.
I've this old 2E adventure, published, that my group ran through back in the day, that deals with religious fanaticism,famine, political rebellion, demons and dark gods, and a significant pinch of alienation. It' really good stuff. It's called Circle of Darkness. Actually, the main-bad guy is legendary in my group, just ask jevva or wizard. ;D
I don't have the 3E stuff, but I almost feel like I wouldn't really need it. The game calls for levels 5-7, but that's 2E, so I'd have to get back to people on what levels to play.
Who's interested?

I fully support and second the motion Thrawn!! Lord Soth, Strahd...all fictional badasses come from Ravensloft... Excellent idea. Perhaps you could run a DM short's adventure so we can get an idea of your DMing style?  |

I am with KMan here, if you want to try your hand at a "quickie" then I say more power to ya. The Shorts were designed so that anyone can try their hand. If it goes well you may just get the support you need for this game.
As for me and joining sucgh a campaign, I'm afraid that I've already got mixed up in enough of them for now. Catch you around.

I'm fine w/ a short too.
Just to toot my own horn though, I am an experienced DM. I run about half the games for my friends, and have done so for years now. Wizard and jevva can vouch for me.

Sounds like a cool Game. I saw go for it. Ravenloft was always one of my favorite settings.
Lethal and low magic, a great combo for me...

Due to board regulations, to run a campaign, as DM, I first have to run a Short. Therefore, a call has gone up for Short players... (lol, under 5'6" is best... ;D) If you wanna get the Ravenloft up, the best thing to do is sign up for my short. And if you wanna play a short, the best thing to do is play my short. There you go...  |
