With a grunt the demon pulls Ylva away and hurls her towards Neera below, unable to throw the giant wolf much further despite its strength and left precariously clinging to the wall with its remaining limbs.

(2 damage to Ylva and a DC15 REF save to avoid falling prone, no damage to Neera but the same REF save to avoid being knocked over as well)

"Let's all target that thing and see if we can take it down!" suggested Vadania. Matching actions to words, Vadania tried to hit that thing with a flaming arrow.

+1 to hit and damage if the target is within 30 feet

Ylva once again tries leaping up to tear the thing off of the wall.

Despite the threat of being pulled down the demons focus appears to be mainly on Vadanias silver-flame enhanced arrows, perhaps why it sought to bring her down first. It is enough of a distraction for Ylva to leap up and pull the last of the anchoring legs free as the demon drops down flanked now by those other warriors that had been engaged with the ice-encased naga, though it lands on its feed with surprising agility for its size and at this distance a dark and cold aura can be felt emanating from it to weaken those nearby.

Neera takes advantage of the the opponent being within reach, moves to a flanking position with Archibald, then starts hacking away with a gleeful smile.

Neera is met with mixed success as the first strike lands true while her second is marginally deflected - it is clear the demon still carries magical defenses that survived the attempt to dispel them.

Archibald maneuvers readied: Charging Minotaur, Battle Leader's Charge, Revitalizing Strike.

Archibald will attack the demon with Revitalizing Strike. 5_kttgxmp_1-20+13 = 18 to hit (not counting flanking and +1/+2 for evil, chaotic/chaotic evil); p_1-4p_1-4+7 = 11 damage (+1/+2 depending upon alignment); if this attack hits, Archibald will regain p_1-6p_1-6p_1-6+8 = 21 HP.

Brenner will target the frozen naga with his Wand of Scorching Ray. p_1-20+4 = 9 vs touch AC; p_1-6p_1-6p_1-6p_1-6 = 11 fire damage.

No, it's not a charge. If it misses without that, it misses.

Despite its size the demon is able to quickly move its many limbs to knock aside attacks as it strikes out with a whirlwind of power blows itself, one of which shatters the magical barrier around Morianas Tressym though the small winged cat quickly flutters out of reach before the demon or the now freed naga can catch it.

Perhaps underestimating the defenses of its attackers the demons blows are inaccurate against all but Neera who is caught with full force of one of its blows (19 damage after DR) and thrown back by the force (Opposed roll vs bull-rush effect - this is a strength test).

Pinned between the other warriors the demon is not able to move far from its spot and no blocks the naga from joining the battle, though it is unlikely this impediment will last for long and though Brenner has worn down the ice monster with his attacks it still poses a danger. A hail of magical missiles fly in from Moriana as she seeks to further distract the demon but it seems likely she has exhausted most of her more powerful magics already.

The demons long, scythe like legs make it difficult to approach as only a lone clean blow is landed amongst the melee. Still though it does harm and now able to see the adversary more closely Neera can see that its wounds heal with the same winding darkness as they had encountered while fighting the others that it had made its minions in the desert, all save for the wound inflicted by Vadanias arrow.

Archibald's Crusader maneuvers are reset. Two new are dealt: Smc1_4A3p_1-6p_1-7; Crusader's Strike and Foehammer.

He will attempt to strike the demon with Foehammer. p_1-20+13 = 26 to hit; p_1-4p_1-4p_1-6p_1-6+7 = 17 damage, ignoring the target's DR.

Brenner will attempt to follow up with his Wand of Scorching Ray. p_1-20+4 = 6 (probably a miss, even vs touch).

Now almost fully surrounded the demon cannot easily defend itself against the attacks from all sides as Archibald lands a solid blow, but by the same token the swirling melee makes it difficult for Brenner to land a hit without endangering the others.

As the demon draws upon the swirling shadows of the room to empower itself Vadania thinks she catches a glimpse of something above, if only for a moment before she must turn her attention back to the fight at hand as the damaged ice naga rejoins the fray.

The outline of the demon ripples with shadow as it seems to split and split again until there are not one but seven after images, still caught between the warriors but which of its many bladed legs are real and which are illusion?

Free of its temporary prison the ice naga strides out into the cavern though unexpectedly does not attack those it passes but rather pursues Vadania. Doubtless it is guided by the demon who appears to be attempting a fresh strategy, perhaps buying time to regenerate from its injuries.
