Wizard got mugged.

Yep, that's right. I'm in Best Buy, picking up some Mini DV's tapes for my new camera and I get a call on my cell phone.

It's Wizard and he proclaims that his parents 'took his computer'.

So needless to say that Wizard will not be posting for a while for he is also leaving for vacation for a week starting tomorrow. I just thought I would share that with everyone.

I'm also sad cause Japic is taking off, TopTomCat is taking off...

Even I'm leaving in a week and a half for almost ten days.

You mean we all have lives OUTSIDE of these boards...

I don't know what to do....

Well, Japic, I seriously have no idea what tipped my mom off...it was around 3:00 in the morning, my password program running fine, and then SOMEHOW my mom is awake and comes in to find me playing DII late at night.

To make matters worse, the hinted new computer grad present is officially unhinted. Hence, my dorm itself will not have a computer labeled "Wizard."

But Wiz, Covert Agent is not finished yet. Before me I have the classifieds

To continue, ('rents walking in cut the last post short) I had in front of me at the time of that post the classifieds, looking for a new computer. Just b/c I have to pay for a new comp in college doesn't mean I won't have one. But after visiting Best Buy a few days ago with thrawn, I decided that I can afford a computer after a week or two of working.

That's right, Wizard FINALLY got a job!

To understand my jubilation, you have to understand that Wiz applied to about 10 businesses for entry-level jobs, and failed to get any of them. My uncle, who's an economist, warned me a few months ago that this summer was looking to be one of the worst in history for teenage employment, and it seems he was correct.

Well, I got tired of asking people for jobs...so I hired myself. Painting address numbers on curbs now. It's VERY good money---it's possible to make $75/hr. if you're quick---and lucky.

Anyway, I'll be back about the same time Kman gets back. So have no fear!

Your uncle is right. It's been an awful summer for high school/ university students getting jobs. I put out SEVENTY resumes (no joke) before I got a response. I have friends that have been looking for a job since early May and many of them are still unemployed
But ya to anyone looking best of luck, and Wizard the whole self-employment thing is awesome. Good Job! ;D
