Ironically, the fam is away seeing this movie as I type this, which is how I got computer access. I already saw it a few days ago, and am putting this thread up at his (sort of) urging. It was AWESOME. I mean, even better than the Matrix film I made. And that's saying a lot. Without giving too much of the plot away, I can say that it packed a lot of Spiderman into a little movie. It harped on issues that continually raise their heads in the comics. Doc Ock was GREAT. While he wasn't completely true to the comics, the changes made made him BETTER. Certain changes in the comic-to-movie transition have shown themselves necessary---radioactive spider vs. genetically engineered spider, organic webbing vs. mechanical (who ever really believed a teenager could make something like THAT anyway?), and various aspects of technology. That the good doctor's arms have advanced AI was a great idea, and befitting a "current" comic book movie. Basically, it's D20 Modern, if Kman were the DM.

I have to agree with this. The action was great, keeping both a plausible storyline (not the comic-book remakes greatest aspect of late) as well as a fast pace. And if any of you guys are looking to score points with your girl without having to sit through some "chick-flick" , this movie may save you. The relationship between Mary-Jane and Peter is enough to keep any romantic occupied, I assure you. But that's just my two cents worth.

I finally got around to seeing this last night and I must saw...this movie rocks! I love that they gave Spider-Man a 'human' side. Instead of being an aloof superhero that wins the fight, and gets to go home and sleep it off, they made it so that everyone could associate with his plight. He can't sleep, can't keep a job, can't get the girl he wants....and whole plethora of other things he can't have simply because he's given this awesome responsibility. The action was great. The directing was great. The comedy was funny as hell. Overall, if you don't see this movie...there's something wrong with you. Just kidding.
