You travel 15 miles from Fallcrest into the wilderness to find the once-sprawling manor now known as the ruins of Kobold Hall. Inside the keep, you find a trapdoor at the base of an old guard tower. It must lead beneath the ruins. Once you descend into the dungeon, find a room at the bottom of the stairs. Dominating the room ahead is a long trench filled with a glowing green substance. Pls chose starting positions

Nice map!
As a defender, Harknail should be in the front, but I don't know how spread out we'll be so I don't know where the front is.
Edit: How about H-6 for Harknail? A front line at H would let us see most of the room, allows us to defend the back ranks, and leave's enough room for the bank ranks to maneuver.
Edit: Harknail is the Warforged Paladin (he looks just like the icon I'm using).
Edit: Assuming it's dark down here, Harknail would have lit a torch and installed it in his light slot. Duh, pit is glowing green. Is this dim light or bright light? Unless it's bright light, Harknail will still have a torch going.

Ill take g5, Take a look into the water, see if there is anything interesting about it.
Melkarn peers into the depths of the liquid. Wondering how deep it is and wondering what exactly he was looking for in this dank place. Well he hopes kobolds don't swim well anyways.

Could People please include their name and/or character class in their post? It would help me to keep everyone straight without having to refer to the list of who's playing which character, and might help the GM as well.

Doran the rogue will take H4, looking for trouble, with a dagger out in his right hand and a suriken in his left. (using stealth if possible)

Clark Barnes stands at J7 leaning on his quarter staff looking at the green pool with a suspicious interest. Ready to pull out his notes to expand his research.

Gabullifax kicks Clark out of J7, being quite fond of the spot as a place to lean back against a wall--and, perhaps due to being a tiefling (or just a jerk), he feels the powerful need to push some poor sap with a staff around. "Nothing personal," he says, by way of apology. "I just really like this spot." The glaive brooks no argument. Or at least a fairly shoddy one.
He lets the others figure things out. He's just around for the combat, anyway.

Clark takes a step to the side (to J6) and frowns at Gabe. "I'm not too sure I like you....you're kinda mean." Not to be dissuaded, Clark takes a more active position at the end of the corridor by the stairs.

Sanem stands in I5, with a glance at Gabe and Clark he instantly dismisses them, The lesser races always dispute. His eyes are everywhere though, looking to pick out anything out of the ordinary.

"Gods, Clark, you don't mean that, do you? I... I don't think I could live with myself if you thought I was mean!" He rolls his eyes.

Clark just frowns at the Tiefling, "You know, I heard your race was comprised of jerks, read it in a book. I thought maybe it was wrong, so far you aren't proving to be the exception to the so-called rule."

Harknail listened to the banter behind him as he looked for danger. He hoped the Warlord was a tactical genius, because so far he didn't sound very inspiring. Or maybe he just didn't like Wizards. For his part, Harknail was grateful to Clark for filling him on what had happened since he was buried underground. Harknail would do his best at keeping any attackers away from Clark.

Doran smirks silently at the sounds of argument behind him. It's not like the inhabitants of this cave wouldn't hear this big of a party coming, so it's no skin of Doran's back if the two in back draw the defenders' attention (and opening fire). It might leave an opening for him to get a free shot of his own.
Who knows, maybe this group will impress him. Until then, well, loyalty is earned, not assumed.

Seeing the Tiefling tear the little wizard a new one in his ego made Melkarn chuckle. He glanced back at their little tiff momentarily when an Idea struck.
Bladetongue takes out a sunrod and activates on the floor, kneeling close to the green fluid he peers in. In the spirit of adventurship and the thrill of knowledge seeking he tosses the glowing metallic rod into the pool.
"Hmm, maybe that will tell me how deep it is."
Bladetongue stands there peering at the decent of the light as if he were peering into the depths of a historical philosophical conundrum
EDIT:oh well...i guess i did this too late
