Ok, so far we have
Jolith: TheUdjat: Urban Cowboy ... I mean Ranger Arclite: Artificer Scorpio: Rojito: Psiforged TTC:
BTW, I would like to point out that no matter what I play, my goal is to own (either by himself or as a party) an Airship. Just would be awesome to own one.

So Deekin, you never did list how many players you wanted.

I think I'll cap it out at 8. Fortunitly, PbP is a lot easyer to handle 8 players than Tabletop.

Eberron Explorer's handbook: Windwrite Captian: Pre-regs: Half-Elf, Balance 4 rank, Profession Salior 10 ranks, UMD 6 ranks, Lesser Dragonmark of Storm, ability to cast first level spells or infusions, must be a Member of in good standing with House Lyraindair

wow level 8 prestige, nice i like it. Now the question is, if he took leadership as well, could he just use his own minions to crew the thing?

I'm going to go with the cliche. Human, House Cannith Dragonmarked Artificer. Will burn up all my feats, but will be fun to play, and add in that "higher interest" of the houses.
I plan on being an arrogant bastard too. The type who you'd punch in the mouth if you didn't need his skill for making random junk. Should fit with the dragonmarked blood background quite well, I think.

Warforged Warblade focusing on Diamond Mind. The philosophical type, who views swordsmanship as the highest ideal and a way of life. Likely to get into some interesting debates with Rojito's character, as he takes a similar path- mental discipline- to a similar end- martial ability- but with a completely different emphasis.

I'm in! if we're having a few warforged guys, maybe a wizard or sorcerer type class with cure spells for the warforged would be good?
I'm out today and some of tomorrow so i'll come up with a character later on. When did everyone want to start?

We have a Cannith Artificer.
I was thinking about starting out the game in Sharn, beouce pretty much anything passes through that city, and I have Sharn: City of Towers, which make the city so much cooler.

I havent' fully decided yet. But I was planning on being a Human Swordsage. Probably splash a few levels of fighter for some bonus feats (so I can pick up exotic weapon pro at 2nd level.)

Really Jolith? i figured Half-Elf Bard/Sorc so you could go the prestige class to get the Ship, it would be rather useful.

Eh. Having the ship would rule, and I still plan to get one. Though I dont want to sacrifice my own character build just to get one. I think that as a group, we could split the cost (92,000g) and purchase one. That way it would be our own.
The cost would be roughly 11,500g each. In order to get the ship, I'd have to be 9th level, which is 2nd level Windwright Captain. At 9th level, I should have roughly 36,000g (according to the Character Wealth by Level). Now I realize that 11,500g is a large chunk out of the 36,000g that they wanted.
So, we could always wait a few levels (around 11). Each person should have 66,000g of items. The 11,500g is a lot smaller portion. So instead of me going the Prestige Class and getting it, and playing a class I'd rather not play, we could all work together and pitch in for the ship.
That's at least how I see it. If you put in money for the ship is of course your own decision. I just thought it'd be neat to have one as a group. Then we could come up with a cool name for it, and a group name for ourselves too.
Either that, or we could always have a wizard in our group, and someone with craft shipwright. We could build one of the ships, and then have the wizard use planar bindings to bind the fire or air elementals to it. Would be a lot cheaper.

1 Laborer = 1sp/day
I'm going to double that price because we need people with profession (sailor).
1 Sailor = 2sp/day 336 days in an Eberron year 336 days x 2sp = 672sp/year 672sp/year x 150 crew = 100,800sp per year for 150 crew 100,800/10 = 10,080g
10,080g / 8 (Our Group) = 1260g per year.
So in a whole YEAR, each person in our group would have to dish out 1260 for the 150 man crew. That money can EASILY be supplied (since we are 9th level at this point) through a share of our gold from adventures.

I could make a series of adventures about acquiring the items you need to build an Airship.
Also, If you were to supply the greater Kyber shard, and bind the elemental yourself, you could cut the cost of an airship down by anywhere from 10% to 30%, depending on size of the elemental you bound.
The question then becomes, however, who is going to fly it?

What would you need to fly it? Would you say that profession sailor is enough?
Also, can't find any information about that Kyber shard you mentioned. Anywhere I can read up on it?
