I had some specific ideas for this, regarding Adelle. I wanted her to be part of an organization that's sprung up, basically people that have discovered they have the capacity for magic within this short Renaissance. I don't want her to have any power or anything from it, or any sway--more like it's some organization her actions are potentially accountable to. I'll detail more of it in the background/complications. Awesome. I like it; definitely something I could (would like to) work in...eventually. I don’t have Move Object, could you cite the entry for me? (unless it works like Telekinesis, as I have that.) Absolutely, no problems there. Understood. Much appreciated. …not to mention the Fascinate (Diplomacy), and Distract (Bluff) Feats. I don’t see these on your revised character entry, but perhaps I’m overlooking them.

Move object is TK, but from Ultimate Power. As for the Feats, they were on the third sheet. I deleted the older ones, to storp Confusion.

Just an FYI:
Kman will be opening the board for the short soon; please don't post anything on it yet. I'd prefer not to clutter it with the things that we've been discussing here (I want to keep all of this stuff consolidated so that we won't need to hop through several threads to find information).
Thanks again,
BA

You mean posting of characters? I guess I'd assumed it was going to run in one of the usual Shorts spots, but you're planning a new board for it? All cool, just making sure.

Although... I'm not sure exactly how he's planning on handling it. Most of the Short threads are 3.5 D&D. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Since we're non-Academy, we'll probably get tucked into one of a Pockets for the game. But typically for any kind of Short, characters are posted in the Shorts Character section.
They can always be moved if that winds up not being the case.

Alright, seeing as how Rojito beat me to the punch anyway, go ahead and post your characters up. Give me the heads up if you are changing anything between here and there.

Alright, I've got admin. clearance from Kman; we're in the Left Pocket. Everything looks good on the character threads. I'll give a last chance to make any last minute mods. before we begin.
Also, If anyone is interested in the final slot, now's the time.

As I have noted a surge of new members this past weekend, I'm giving this thread a bump.
Although Age of Heroes has already begun (less than a week ago), I'd still be willing to take on another player if anyone is interested. See the original post for an overview of the setting.

Shit, I'm dumb. I've been looking for the thread in the campaign boards. I've been wanting to give this a try, I've been trying all the non-D&D games here. Well if you are open to another new player with 0 experience with the system I'd like to join.

Considering we are still in the first encounter, I think we can manage. Post a character concept, Me and Udjat will create characters, and you can see which you like better.

Hmmm for Concepts I'm not 100% sure what I need there. As far as heroes that I like, I've always been a huge nerd for the Flash So maybe a speed oriented hero. But I also like, and I don't know if any of you are familiar with him, Jack Hawksmoor. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_HawksmoorHe's essentially a "City hero" his powers only really manifest in cities and include great feats of agility, strength, speaking directly to the city and a number of other things. But unfortunately his powers are really obtuse in that end. The Idea of a poor man's iron man kind of tickles my fancy too. Maybe someone who hasn't quite gotten a sponsorship trying to make some sort of power suit. Let me know what you need here or just PM me and I'll bounce Ideas off of you.

Yeah, a array of doesn't work all that well in M&M. It can be done, usually by the Variable power, but that gets really expensive, really quick. However, there is a city spirit in Mutants and Masterminds, called Dr Metropolis, so I could base the character off of that, if you want to go down the rout of city control. A Speedster or power armor is generally pretty easy. Just come up with a character concept, describe it, and me or the Udjat can probably make it work.

Okay, I'd like to have a Power suit hero. The concept would be a person, tech savvy, who had lost a loved one to a Super hero, collateral damage or otherwise. Motivation for making the suit is be a hero "for the people" to protect them from Villains, and to keep an eye on the other heroes. (Who watches the Watchmen?) He would be independently wealthy but I would prefer if I could figure out a way for him to not be wealthy and still have the suit. Maybe dumping all of his money into it. Wouldn't be working with any organization, but rather would have a secret Identity. The suit would have to have abilities that would let him keep up with the other heroes and not get wrecked. I don't know much about the rules but if there is anything interesting that you can make the suit do aside from the general strength endurance, flight, blasting. Id like to see it.
That helpful enough?

Just a note to Udjat or deekin, Bad* brought this up. I would need some sort of qualifications to operate the suit, If that can be reflected in Skills that would be helpful.

Qualifications is kind of a broad term. What do you mean, precisely? We could set it up with something like Adelle's magic, which requires the use of a skill (Concentration), or like Jane's hacking, which requires Computer Use. But I'm not sure what sort of skills using a powered suit would require. They're supposed to be kind of, you know, intuitive. Knowledge: Technology is possible, but seems a little silly. What is it about the background that's requiring qualifications? Maybe you should share some of that with us, anyway, so we know what you're going for stylistically.

Hmmm looking for qualifications, I think Computers, Craft Mechanical, Knowledge Technology, Pilot Battle suit (Not as high as you might think it would be for someone who....well flies a battle suit).

Pilot's a good one. Don't know why I didn't think of that. But what I meant was, you're trying to put in qualifications in terms of this guy needing training to use the suit. That's fine and all, but it's not strictly necessary unless you want it to be--and qualifications can also mean, like, access. Credentials. But nevermind. A limitation like that will certain increase the points to work with.
