As I mentioned here kmansadventures.proboards2.com/index.cgi?board=campaignstatus&action=display&thread=6361&page=3I'm new to the forums, these boards and, as well as most - 4e. Despite this I'm going to attempt to run a game short here. Potential Players ---- Fangor the Fierce Rojito similar If you are one of those people, or someone else who is interested please post here to confirm. My first question is to those who might know. If/when I have enough players do I just create a new thread in the 'DM Short - Right Leg' or does a new 'leg' child board get created or what? Thanks |

Yep I'm still interested.
I just gained access to the MM last night and I found 16 extra races in the back that it says DMs may allow as PC races at their descretion. Are you allowing any of them or is it just the base 8?

You may make your own characters (use the standard buy chart). Lets stick with the base races + the gnome... since the poor gnome didn't make it to the PHB  |

Ok, I am going to need some help with this, so please be patient. Character Creation with a new system... this is going to be interesting. I might just use a pre-generated character if I can't wrap my head around things.

Alright, if there is still room, and if you don't mind if I create my character after the 4th of July (next Friday, when I have a big test coming up) probably that weekend still, and if you will help me with the new rules I know nothing about and of which I don't own the books, I would be really happy to enter either one of these 4th edition shorts. I have been convinced that I should try them. But those are a lot of if's, so I understand if I can't join. I can always ask, right? |

Well, I've got little experience with the shorts, but if you just PM Kman, saying that you'd like to run another short, he'll fix things for you. He'll probably fix you a seperate pocket, or leg, or whatever its called.

Keep in mind we are playing 4th Edition (4e) and not 3.5. Let me know if that changes anything for you, or if you need help making a character. Also 32 point buy? or the ridiculous 22 point buy from the 4.0book (which is the same as 32 point buy but no one attribute can be less then 10.) As to my character i dont have access to the handbook yet, but i will attempt to get one together here soon. Anyone know the stats on the Gnome? |

No, they put a new race called Dragonborn in the PHB to fill the big brute role. You can use Method 1 or 2 in 4e PHB for stats *which does allow for an 8 stat.
Gnome +2INT, +2CHA
Small (just means you can't use 2h weapons and 'versatile' weapons are considered 2h for you.)
Speed 5
Lowlight vision
Skills: +2 Arcana, +2 Stealth
Reactive Stealth: having Cover/Concealment when you make an init check = Stealth check to avoid notice. (basically if your not hiding but you are near cover you hide as a reaction).
Fade Away (Encounter Power)
Immediate Reaction when you take damage
You become invisible until you attack or the end of your next turn.

K I think i got the Character i feel like playing, Elven Ranger, cept this one will be the Two-Weapon side of it. will have a charactersheet up before long.

Hey, I got a recommendation to join this short. I have a Half-elf Warlock, fey pact, all rolled up and ready to go. My character sheet is being held by my club's DM so he can run it through his character sheet program, but I remember enough about her to be able to run her. Is it all right if I join?
