Travelers abound have arrived in Moonhaven this night. The Windgazer arrived at dock earlier this day, bringing a handful of explorers as well as word that Torbia has finally found peace from the years of war and bloodshed. Natives of the desert tribes have arrived in town as they do often, interested in the odd cultures of the western lands and to offer their services as guides into the desert or guards to prove their toughness both in and out of the desert. Even a couple of Dragonborn from the south have arrived. A rare site, but not unknown to the locals.
The day has been a busy day with all of the travelers entering the village, gathering in their surroundings and trying to find shelter for the night. The only accommodations are a couple of rooms at the Moonhaven Inn. An overly large Inn, obviously built with the expectations of the village becoming much larger than it currently is. Because of this, the Inn has been mostly unused and unkempt these past few years and the wear and tear, dust, and occasional rat makes its disuse all the more obvious. Run by a man named 'Paec' with short black hair, an overly thick nose and a deep 'farmer's tan', it is obvious his looks came from his human heritage. Only his slightly pointed ears and soft voice give way to any elven heritage he may have. The barmaid on the other hand is a middle aged woman about six feet tall, somewhat overweight despite her strong build, knotty brown-red hair with a couple warts across her neck and face. Being probably the ugliest barmaid you have ever encountered you can only wonder if she has ogre blood in her and what brought her to such a career choice.
It is late night and light drizzle has been gently beading on the tavern windows as you consider if you want to talk to the other tavern patrons, risk calling the barmaid over or just call it a night and retire to your room.
{DM NOTE: You have already gotten a room and paid for it (consider it free a far as your character starting gold is concerned - it was paid by a sponsor, church, prospective employer or what have you).

After a long wet day of travel Bharash finds out where his room is from the innkeeper and heads up to get his weary head down. He would rise early to read his books but for now he was happy to rest and not give the locals too much cause to stare.

Aurea leaves her room, putting her back to the wall as an exhausted-looking Dragonborn passes by, and makes her way to the main room of the tavern. After exchanging a flew words with Paec on their shared heritage, she steps outside, a small smile on her face at the hope of more rain. Her eyes lift to the cloudy heavens, and she mouths a silent prayer to Corellon.

Perrin sat in the common room, listening to peoples stories, and more importantly spotting any prospects. He never wanted to be a thief, just came so naturally. Half the time things ended up in his possesion without his knowing how they got there. Its his hands he decided finally, they are the thieves, they just bring things to him.

[All right, Rojito got most of my stats done, so if possible I can step in already. I got the flavor in my head, nothing written up yet, but here it goes:]
Howahkan, holy man of the Hotah tribe, a people that lived in the plains not very far to the east, visited Moonhaven for the first time in his life. He had advised the chief of his tribe, Cha'akwongwi, or "crier chief" as his name rang in the common tongue, as well as all of his people not to meddle with the affairs of these strange colonists. But the time had come that great misfortune had befallen his people, and famine was the result. As his people were a peaceful one and they would not set out to take riches from neighbouring tribes, it was now up to Howahkan to see if here in Moonhaven he could somehow find help for his people in their most desperate hour. However, his people had become poor and he had little to offer in return. He feared he might have to resort to other ways to get what he needed.
Howakhan, arriving late in the evening, made his refuge in what he had heared was called an inn, a large brick building where people had to pay to find hospitality. The tribe had given him a small budget of coins, which he was to spend according to his best wisdom, of which he had much.
As such he entered the Moonhaven Inn; a tall, proud man in his late thirties, with a dark, brown-reddish skin, a high, hooked nose like that of an eagle, and long straight black hair, which he wore loosely over his shoulders. He wore a great, expensive fur cloak, and a hide armor underneath. His cloak was made of the fur of a buffalo, and as such the symbol of his status among his tribesmen, as only a holy man could wear the fur of that wisest of animals.
He paid for his stay, disregarding any queer looks he might get from the local patrons, knowing that each and every one of them ought to be honored to be in his company if they knew who he was, then sat down in a corner only to pull out a beautiful, long pipe, from which he began to smoke. He looked around, trying to hear any of the conversations going on. Perhaps there was something that could help him in his mission.

[My character's coming along, so I might as well post some initial response:]
Agrogar walks deliberately, as the new scenery unfolds before his eyes. He spies the place that he was directed to, as the inn comes into view. It would seem like a likely place to hold up for a night, as he goes through the obvious routine of procuring his room. He did note that he was not the only one of his race that found this place today.
Hopefully the night would go by uneventfully, as he had a long day ahead of him tomorrow. Taking his time, Agrogar secures his room, before heading out to survey the inn. A warm meal would do him well, as he motions for the barmaid, intent on ordering a meal...

The barmaid glares at the Draconic humanoid, hand on hips she shouts out of the side of her mouth as if to the entire common room "Last call!" She wanders over to Agrogar's table never dropping eye contact and only flicking her hands once to slap a tiny hand wandering into a pouch on her apron. "We've got bean soup, smoked sardines and pickled eggs. To drink we've got Moonhaven Mead or Moonhaven Moonshine."
Meanwhile... Paec goes to the front door and peeks out glancing at the weather briefly before looking to Aurea. "Ma'm, you aught to come inside, we'll be locking up for the night soon." He checks the skies once more before disapearing back into the inn.

"Thank you," she replies softly, still gazing heavenward. She closes her eyes and stands for a few more moments, then turns and enters the tavern once more. There is the warmth and slight bustle that comes with an occupied tavern, and her eyes drift across the occupants as she make her way around the outer edge of the main room to an empty table. Her stomach lets her know that it could use some nourishment, so she waits to attract the attention of the barmaid.

"Sardines and soup, with some mead should do nicely." is all that Agrogar offers noting her busy schedule. He waits for the meal, and hopes that the mead is drinkable...

"Might as well take your order too lass. What'ya want?" as she rattles off the same menu. She comes back with your orders and tosses them on your tables. "I need to be heading home, your bill comes to six silver" she mentions to Agrogar and then begins counting in her head what Aurea owes.

Aurea thought for a moment, then decided on the soup. "The bean soup should suffice, and perhaps a half pint of your mead," she replies, reaching into her vest to withdraw some silver to pay for the meal. "You wouldn't happen to have any water suitable for drinking, would you?"

Tossing the coins to the barmaid, Agrogar hopes that the meal is worth the high price...

She brings Aurea a small glass of not-quite-clear water. "Four silver huh. All of ya all just leave your plates on the table, I'll get them in the morning." With that, she goes out the front door and Paec pulls out a large keyring and begins locking up.

Aurea eyes the cup suspiciously, then lifts it and takes a small sip. Her face is blank for a few moments, but she shrugs and pulls out the four silver and sets it on the table, being sure to keep it under her hand.

Paec finishes closing up and eventually everyone makes way to their room to rest for the night. The night is a short one however as everyone is awakened by banging and shots downstairs and outside. Commotion fills the main street outside as everyone awakens quickly, lamps are hasty lit and weapons drawn. The stairs going down to the main common room are crowded with each of the inn's tenets all trying to find out what is going on.
Quiet.... That's what you notice is wrong. The banging on the door has stopped, the shouting outside has ceased except for a few distant shouts. Everyone slows their pace and lightens movements not wanting to rush into whatever danger might lurk in the dark outside. Looking outside the windows proves to further your frustrations of trying to find out what is going on. The sprinkling rain has turned into a deep fog making it impossible to see into the dark night. Paec holds up his keys and gives a questioning look to everyone in the room, not wanting to be the one to decide if it is a smart move or not. His look quickly turns to that of pure terror as all of the windows bust. A man you noticed come down the stairs with you standing at one such window, trying to view what lurks in the night, now knows all to well. He stumbles into the common room clutching a bleeding throat. {initiative}

As soon as Howakhan awoke to the noises from outside, he indeed went to go downstairs and have a look, but not before taking his weaponry with him, a sling in one hand and a big wooden club with a smooth orb-like rock on its hitting end in the other.
When the windows burst, Howakhan readied his sling against any enemies that might make their way through them.

Awakened by the noise, Aurea removed her rod from beneath her pillow, then picked up the sickle she had hidden under the bed and slid it into her belt before hurrying downstairs - just in time to see the window break.

OOC: Ah sorry blunt. I wrote a reply 2 nights ago. I was tired at the time though and must have somehow not posted it.
So a slightly abridged summary: Bharash also dashes downstairs to try and find out what is happening. Staff in hand. He then rolls a 15 for initiative modified to 14 for low dex.

Perrin flows toward the window in an easy stride, as soon as the window broke he quickly drew a shuriken and aims it for the first thing to show up. [dice=20] +6=13 [rand=294160794066901774643193311413345325168094389163413585072108075935]
