The creatures emerge from the fog into the tavern some giving small moans. Tendons snapping with their unnatural movement and rotting flesh, you can only assume the local graveyard has come alive to haunt the town this night. Paec jumps behind his bar taking cover. [dice=20] initiative for Agrogar (sorry - just wanted push things along) Initiative Order -------------------- Aurea Bharash Perrin Agrogar Howahkan Hopefully the map is understandable - if not I'll try to explain 1 Letters and number will give coordinates for your movement 2 The white boxes are torches on the wall 3 All of the brown circles are tables or other furniture (treat as difficult terrain (costs 1 additional movement) 4 The brownish squares on the walls are doors - again difficult terrain 5 The small 'i''s on the top and bottom walls (mostly covered up right now) are the smashed windows. 6 The small 'i' on the right wall is a fireplace which is lit.

so, should we all consider our starting point to be the stairs, then?

Ooops left that out...
Consider your starting position to be any of the stairs or P5. You may all start on P5, so long as you end your turn on a square no-one else is on.
Also if you have a picture you want used as your icon, please e-mail it to me.
P.s. the host is down right now, so if it isn't up by this afternoon I'll post it elsewhere.

Howakhan leaps forward, seeing the dead turn upon the living, knowing all too well what to do in such situations. He moves from the stairs to stand behind the tables, trying to use them for his defense, and retrieves his holy symbol as he moves; a wooden, curly stick approximately one foot long with small faces carved into it. He then utters some words in his divine language and the eyes and smiling grimaces carved in the stick begin to glow strongly with a golden light, giving of such a radiance that it envelops all the undead before him, obviously to their dismay.
[Alright, since I'm last in the initiative, things will probably look pretty different than they do now, but Howakhan will maneuver in such a way that he can turn the most undead as possible.]

Pushing past the onlookers Bharash gets to the bottom just in time to see all the undead lumber into the inn. He spies another of his kin has been drawn by the commotion and raises his staff in salute. "Lets send them back to their graves! I'll take the right."
With that he lowers his staff pointing it at F2. An instant later a large burst of golden flame errupts in the vacinity burning the zombies in E-G1

attack against F1: [dice=20] +3 vs. reflex damage [dice=6] +3 fire damage
attack against G1: [dice=20] +3 vs. reflex damage [dice=6] +3 fire damage
then as he had implied Bharash dashes across to the top of the room (N1) and with a roar blasts forth a huge spray of acid from his mouth (positioned with corners at I1, M1, I5, M5) it covers the other 4 zombies against the northern wall in caustic bile.

[Impatient much? It's impolite, not to mention kind of against the rules, to go before the person first in initiative unless they say they're holding their action. Also, how are you getting multiple actions? Is his breath weapon a free action?]
Aurea moves calmly but quickly to O1, her eyes flashing as she extends her hand and casts Thunderwave, [dice=20] +4 vs. Fort
and a roar of sound like the pealing of thunder blasts toward the zombies at L1 and M1.
damage for L1: [dice=6] +4 Thunder damage
Damage for M1: [dice=6] +4 Thunder damage [rand=60864347767757170489683810084355958505704876073594153341459043326]

[Impatient much? It's impolite, not to mention kind of against the rules, to go before the person first in initiative unless they say they're holding their action. OOC: It's handled differently in most of the games here in Kman's, though of course Bluntaxe may choose to stick to the normal way of waiting for your turn. But given the nature of play-by-post, it slows down combat tremendously if we all wait on our turn in the initiative, even when combat is already slow in play-by-post. It's kind of an unwritten rule here, but I'll let the DM judge what to do.

OOC: Hi Dansk. I'm sorry you took offense at me posting actions already. The normal way it works on these boards, as VK said, is that people post their actions when they get the chance to but that then they are still applied in initative order by the DM.
So I was not trying to make my character actual take actions before yours.
From what you annd VK have said can I assume it works differently on other boards? I have only ever PbPed here so without being told otherwise I posted "as normal" for these boards.
I See you moved Aurea to kill two of the zombies I was going to breath on (which is a minor action for a dragonborn btw)
I hope this wasn't done as a slight against me because you thought my move was illegal and impolite?
In view of Aurea attacking to the top can I change my action to still scorching bursting the same area but then moving to K6 and breathing acid at F7 and K7 down?
That still attacks 4 red ringed zombies but also a grey ringed zombie
attack against grey zombie:
[dice=20] +3 vs. reflex
[dice=6] +3 acid damage[rand=900137843520431231594374716797335498209978023409912945040678035685]

[Apologies, then, to similar and everyone else. I was unaware of some of the protocol, so I suppose I overreacted. I guess I should've asked about it instead of just reacting.
My actions weren't in offense to you, similar. Those were just going to be my original targets. I'll try to keep this method of play in mind for the future.]

No probs. We're cool. Seeing as you seem to be quite active, are just ahead of me in the initative order for this combat and are on at about the same time I think it will be easier to wait until you have gone for this combat anyway.

[DM]I'm new to the whole board thing, so its a learning process for me as well.....
Just to keep things going, feel free to post your action as soon as possible. Things will be processed in order of initiative. If I see something that might mess up your action, I'll try to interpret it as best as possible for a new target etc. (or if you catch it before I do, edit your post, or you can PM me a change in action - to save space in the game thread).

Just to keep things going.... UPDATE: I haven't heard from Fangor the Fierce in several days now. If I don't see a post from him by tonight we will continue without him. Similar at least rolled for initiative so I'm hoping he can get on soon for his action. How would you guys like things done for when someone disappears for day? Should we wait for 24,48,??+ hours? Continue without them and I control their character? Suggestions welcome. P.S., I should let everyone know, I anticipating I will be out of touch here for a week July 24th to 31st while I'm on vacation. I will attempt to get on, but no promises, so the game may be on pause during that time.

[From one DM to another--If some people are being a bit slow, more than 24 hours or so, just press on as best you can. They'll catch up, or get killed in the crossfire. Make assumptions for their characters if need be, to balance the encounter, but it's bad to lose too much momentum in play-by-post.]

Perrin slides down the stairs, and moveing to J7, he unleashes a blinding barage against all the zombies there. (Close Blast of 3, all are blinded until the end of my next turn.) [dice=20] +7 [dice=6][dice=6] +4 And since i move before all the zombies on the init i hit them with sneak attack: [dice=6] [dice=6] So, 19 damage to them all, and all are blinded. the ones who dont get hit at 21 take half damage and are not blinded [rand=674188248766829651519509260272765485448314579576364852187609026]

'A roar of sound like the pealing of thunder blasts toward the zombies' knocking the now lifeless bodies to the ground. 'Bharash lowers his staff a large burst of golden flame errupts' three burning bodies sumble around briefly before slumping to the ground. Dashing across to the room with a roar he blasts forth a huge spray of acid. Their decaying flesh begins to melt, causing several to give up their new unlife. 'Perrin flows toward the window in an easy stride, as soon as the window broke he quickly drew a shuriken and he unleashes a blinding barage.' Striking the Vitals of several of the walking dead one after another drop, however what would have been a fatal shot for human, one zombie continues he staggering. 'Howahkan utters some words in his divine language and the eyes and smiling grimaces carved in the stick begin to glow strongly' the closest zombie seems to gain some understanding and drops to the floor as if let go by an unknown force. Howahkan suddenly finds himself confronted with two zombies that appear to ignore the divine light. One begins to claw wildly ( 4 damage). Perrin running to forefront gets surrounded by the few remaining zombies at the front of the inn. One begins to bite franticly at him which perrin easily dodges, while another still having a large shuriken protruding from his face appears to be grasping at anything around him, placing large claw marks in the tavern door. [DM NOTE] When targeting multiple targets please include attack rolls for each target. One damage roll is fine. Round 2 -----------

Hoping to assist the party cleric, Aurea takes two steps forward, to M1. "The ire of Mab, Queen of the Fey, be upon you!" Aurea calls out loudly, cursing the zombie at J1, then follows it with an Eldritch Blast.

[If your talking about Perrin, he uses one attack roll that hits all of them, i am pretty sure, just like a fireball spell.] Perrin didn't like the idea of being surrounded so he quickly turns around and move three squares up, and hops on the table. Turning around he unleashes another shuriken at the blind zombie. (blindness will grant combat advantage.) My AC for AoO: 23
