Gabe blinks at the completely non-threatening 'monster' helping everyone bail water. He relaxes with a small, annoyed sigh. "Oh yeah, really frightening. I'm quaking in my boots." He pauses, frowning at the thing. "Okay, I don't know who or what you are or how you got here, but unless you want to stand there moving buckets, follow me. If you really want to help, I think there are better things you can be doing."
With that said, he heads back upstairs, shaking his horned head. "Monster..."
[We'll go back to the 'get out on a boat and land' plan; unless someone wants to mention the other boats, in which case maybe we could head towards them.]

[Still do not know where I am in relation to the sinking ship. Should I assume that I am rowing toward it as I follow the goblins? Have they passed it already?]

[Still do not know where I am in relation to the sinking ship. Should I assume that I am rowing toward it as I follow the goblins? Have they passed it already?] sorry, my bad. The Goblins are heading north along the cliffsides, the ship is to your west. You would have to push yourself to keep up with the goblins (*ie several good Athletic checks). If anyone else is waiting on something I might have missed, please let me know.

Just waiting on getting the boat out into the water. (by the way, Doran hears "monster down below," thinks giant squid or some other unspeakably horrific sailor's story, and thinks its even a better idea to get off the ship. Humanoids he knows how to deal with, but his knowledge of sea travel comes from drunken sailors.)

If you really want to help, I think there are better things you can be doing." Standing there and bailing water was a huge improvement over what he had been doing. Harknail had no objections to standing there (as best he could) and helping the sailers bail, even if it meant going down with the ship. But the commanding tone of the newcomer and the suggestion that there were better ways to help got Harknail moving and following the tiefling.

The 'Monster' seemed friendly enough Sanem goes back up top to help navigate around rocks or help the overboard sailor, wherever he can.

Despite the brief sight of the beleaguered ship Bharash is convinced that the goblins who have stolen the lighthouses mirror must be stopped and that he was the only person in a position to pursue them. If he failed now, the chances of finding the mirror might disappear. Bharash rows with all his worth. If he passes within earshot of another vessel he roars out a plea for help. Something like: "The goblins who disabled the lighthouse are fleeing in this direction! Help me catch them! They stole its magic mirror!" Athletics rolls: [dice=20] [dice=20] [dice=20] [dice=20] [dice=20] [dice=20] [dice=20] [dice=20] [dice=20] [dice=20] all at +2. Not sure how many you'd need

Once Harknail gets above decks, he takes a look towards the ruins of the old keep and freezes for a moment. What he saw didn't match his expectations at all. He must have been underground for a LONG time for so little to be left. Harknail shakes his head and returns his attention to the tiefling. The past was long gone, but he was at long last in the world again. He had know idea who was who or what was what, so he'd follow along until he figured it out.

Sanem manages launch a safety rope down to the overboard sailor. With the help of Doran and two other sailors you manage to get the rowboat down and him safely in it. Gabe and Harknail come uptop shortly after and the four of you get underway in the rowboat.
As you get underway, toward shore can be heard. "The goblins who disabled the lighthouse are fleeing in this direction! Help me catch them! They stole its magic mirror!". Along with sound of quick and loud splashes of oars.
Bharash struggles to keep up with his target, and appears to be doing so at first. How long he can keep up the pace appears to be quickly dwindling.
[whisper=similar, bluntaxe]Bharash Nature + Arcana checks = You realize that glow dolphins should be migrating through the bay. Feeding them fey-berries (Alechemical Reagent) would lure them to the area. [/whisper]

Gabe easily takes charge of the situation, as he is wont to do, getting the group of them settled in the boat and on their way--probably with himself rowing alongside Doran, incidentally.
The call through the fog catches his attention. "Well, that explains why we crashed," he mumbles. For a brief moment, he considers whether to follow this new pursuit or continue on their original mission of getting to land--but in the end, the sailors seemed to be in no immediate danger, and the waters calm enough for trained swimmers to handle. They will be fine. This call sounds urgent.
"Alright, gentlemen. He wants help with some goblins--let's go help. Sanem! Call to the other boat and be our eyes; see if you can get a bearing on those goblins he's talking about."

Harknail was lost and didn't know what to do. The Tiefling had the voice of command and experience, so he follow the Tiefling till he had a reason not to. But the Tiefling being willing to help someone else with goblins was a good sign that he was with the right group.

Doran thinks someone in that much armor must be better at rowing than he is.

Harknail is strong enough, and willing, but has never rowed a boat before and isn't particular good at it (+1 Athletics without the shield). Upon closer examination, the construct isn't wearing armor so much as armor plates are attached to it.

[Doran and Gabe are both trained in Athletics and have pretty good Strength. Sanem's as good, but I think he's got better ranged attacks and perception, so he plays the eyes.

Perception at +10 [dice=20] 28, i think i see something And cause i am a kick ass Elf all allies in 5 squares of me gets +1 to perception checks Sanem clearly points in the direction the goblins are heading towards, so they can catch them rather than chase them.[rand=91351873977950412207673202779572638816048256315874124239147482092]
