Sanem spots something moving in the water and the boat pursues. After what seems like an eternity of rowing, Sanem realizes it is the other pursuer he has actually spotted and now sees a raft rounding a bend in the cliffs, again leaving his sight. The boat with duel rowers soon catches up to the lone Dragonborn.

As Gabe and company catch up and start to breeze past, the Tiefling shouts out to the man--though he is clearly a little surprised that it's just one guy. "Hop on board! Explain it to us on the way." He then continues to row, intent on try to catch the disappearing boat.
It's likely they'll lose them around the bend, but Gabe's determined to give it his best shot. And hey, on the way he can get the lowdown from their latest addition to the group.

He has a boat, right? Lets tie it off and tow it--it won't slow us down much, and that way we won't loose it.

[Not a horrible idea. We could even take the oars to get some more people rowing. Excellent! Two boats might come in handy down the line...]

Bharash is surprised yet pleased that his plea actually attracted help.
As the other boat pulls up along side Bharash does as its tiefling captain suggests and climbs in keeping his oars and tying off the extra boat he had been using.
He quickly takes in the tieflings other two companions, an elf and a human and makes an arcana check [dice=20] +8 to see if he knows what the construct accompanying them is.
"Well met, sirs." Bharash manages as he tries to catch his breath from rowing, "I am afraid the town there has been overrun by undead. There is a goblin shaman on that raft ahead who I believe lead them here. Weither alone I do not know. I was trying to stop him stealing the magic mirror that usually makes this lighthouse work but his minions delayed me enough for him to try and flee. Though I fear those left behind may be losing their fight to clear the streets of the undead menace left behind. I alone was in a position to give chase. I hope that catching him and that mirror will be consolation to any left behind. That I have made the right choice in pursuing him."
Bharash looks tired and worried. The knowledge that lives were being lost, with him powerless to stop it as he floated here out on the water, obviously weighing heavily on his mind.[rand=55326507202933640078773121200276848274761719608843842627405777337]

Bharash has studied the concept of the 'Living Construct'. A feat only a few have achieved through history. You know of only one other known to exist currently, rumored to live in the Saphire Tower, on the Western Continent.
Your combined boats manage to round the bend, only to find the goblins disappearing into a dark cave in the cliff walls.

Gabe grunts, continuing to row. "Good, a cave. Something besides open water. That has promise." Then he shuts his mouth and keeps rowing. He makes sure he knows where his glaive is, for when the inevitable ambush takes place. "When we get close, you two stop rowing," he nods a head at the construct-man and the dragonborn. "Get ready for a fight. And have a light on hand. Gonna be dark in there."

Can goblins see in the dark? Doran is used to using dark allies to his advantage, but that only works if the target can't see better than him.

"Light? shouldn't be a problem." an orb of light appears amongst them, keeping pace with their boat. "I research the arcane." Bharash explains.

[whisper=ogermind, bluntaxe] Lore Check - You can't determine the capabilities of the goblins ability to see[/whisper]
The lot of you begin to drift toward the cave, your light shines on the wet slicked cavern walls, but it is unable to pierce far enough to find the goblin's locations. The cave has a ledge that could be walked upon, but it is slick from the sea's algae and water. You feel you are sitting ducks in the boat however, as the feeling of an ambush overwhelms you.
Initiative.

[dice=20] +4=9 init Sanem sat in the prow of the boat useing his sight to help guide the boats and watch for enemies.[rand=19185748807694775373620097395292113039607722084148038182650368743]

[dice=20]+1=12 Harknail had some torches in his backpack, but between them being as old as he was and being recently dunked in the ocean, he didn't know if they would still light. Nor could he prepare for a fight, his shield and sword would just get in the way on a boat.[rand=53540683584287765826942012645304341445213183760646697006514295936]

[dice=20]+4= 18 for initiative. "This smells like an ambush." Doran gets out of the boat, onto the slick walkway, and draws a dagger. He will attack any goblin that gets within reach. If he has to jump: [dice=20]+7= 25 for athletics. The description of balance under acrobatics doesn't cover slick surfaces, but [dice=20]+9= 11 for acrobatics to stay upright. This could get comical.[rand=6907869139511061547539251193254553743530037639363259358179709141]
