Gabe is moving as soon as the door is broken through. Kicking aside the remains he moves into the room and attempts to skewer the closest goblin with his glaive. “Let’s be done with these Goblins as quick as possible”Gabe's Initiative Charge to O12 & Melee Basic Attack on Red 2 (Glaive) [dice=20] | +5+1= | 26 vs AC (Critical!) |
If hit: 2d4+3 [dice=4] | [dice=4] | +3= | 11 damage (Critical!) |

Gabe's Group Bonuses: Any ally within 10 squares that can see and hear me gains +2 to initiative. Any ally who can see me spending an action point to attack gains +2 to hit & +4 to damage[rand=19931116239099822337543223838784328061947853051669041513930736407]

"Gabullifax get out of the doorway!" Laira advances to O16. She then casts scorching bust at the table on O10 (burst 1) hopefully hitting goblins Red 1 and Red 2 one space away from the center of the burst. Attack +3 to hit: [dice=20] +3=7 REF for [dice=6] +3 for 7 fire damage. Her initiative for next round is [dice=20] +2=13[rand=15514234571208207900455539880656630246160677215143335897210586408]

Her initiative for next round is +2=13 I'm not sure if you can move and attack too, unless you are charging. I think this is still the surprise round. If Laira still moves, then Howy will advance to take his spot at O18, if he attacks without moving then Howy will advance to Gabe's vacated spot at O16. Init Roll: [dice=20]+0+2=6 Edit: Actually, I may be wrong. There was nothing for the rest of us to do as they were chopping down the door making this our round 1 action.[rand=1490630133502575129922435154381734344918328939399733561551810615]

Oh, sorry. I don't think I've ever gotten to act in a surprise round before, counting 3rd edition. If in a surprise round, you can only either attack or move, then Laira didn't move and Howy can advance to O16.

That is correct, this is the surprise round, so you get just a single action (move or attack). But she can retrieve her weapon as a free action if she moves past Harknail.

Bharash also fires a scorching burst of fire at the table (O10)
To hit red 1 [dice=20] +4=19 vs ref
to hit red 2 [dice=20] +4=8 vs ref
[dice=6] +4=7 fire damage
Initiative [dice=20] +1=7

Howy moved up while Bharash tried to toast some goblins with a Flaming Burst. Bharash missed the closer goblin (red 2) but was successful on toasting the far one (red 1) slightly.
Need a second attack roll from Laira. Area attacks use a separate role for each possible target and a single roll for damage.
Need an initiative role for Thursagan.

Laira missed both goblins around the table.
Just realized that I hadn't described the opponents
The creatures in this room are a strange mixture of goblin and dire rat. Humanoid, but with fur and tail, along with a very rat like head. These creatures are dressed with only a cloak. They are each armed with short swords and a bundle of javelins.

Since we're just waiting for an initiative roll, I'll make it for Thursagan: And for the wererat goblins: The goblins go next, then the players get their turn.[rand=47705490817315876870453888783231455651543918065733608037445228547]

The goblin wererats react far more quickly than any of the other goblins have. The two at the table leap into position on either side of Gabe while others move into position. Red 2: Shift and attack with short sword: [dice=20] | +8=21 | [dice=6] | +4=5 |
Red 1: Move around to avoid AoOP, attack with short sword with flanking: [dice=20] | +8+2=23 | [dice=6] | +4=5 |
Both hits Gabe for (total 10 points damage). But most troubling of all, the wounds the group had inflicted were rapidly healing (5 points regeneration). Edit: Corrected text, they are hitting Gabe not Thursagan [rand=60606953944079587828962325584143316499290755018614457828272134066]

Harknail leans the borrowed polearm against the wall then reattaches his shield and sword.
Laira will be able to reclaim her polearm as a free action as she passes by it. This can be done in the middle of a move action.

Are they actually hitting Thursagen? Or Gabe who I believe is in front and they are flanking?

Are they actually hitting Thursagen? Or Gabe who I believe is in front and they are flanking? Duh! They are hitting Gabe. Attacks between the wererats and Thursagen at his current position would have cover (-2 to hit) from the corner.

Gabe staggers a bit as he continues into the room roaring as he does so a long wordless battlecry at the two goblin things. Then his teeth clamp back together with a snap as he fights through the pain. As he moves around the goblins things he creates an opening for Thursagen to get in another attack. Move: Gabe shifts to P11 Minor: Gabe's Inspiring Word on Self [dice=6] | +5(Surge Value) | =8 Gabe's Health: Was HP 12 of 22 / Now HP 20 of 22 Surges now 4 of 7 |
Standard: Ready an Action – When Thursagen Attacks: Commanders Strike on Red 2 for Thursagen (This will allow Thursagen to get into a better position if he so chooses. He rolls his basic melee attack +4 damage after his normal attack) Gabe's Combat Status Gabe's Health: HP 20/22 - Surges 4/7 - Action Points 1/1 Encounter Powers: Infernal Wrath 1/1, Inspiring Word 1/2, Warlord's Favor 1/1 Daily Powers: Lead the Attack 1/1

Wow, wait, hun? How did we go from a surprise round to two of the enemy's getting to take full turns before any of us do anything?Initiative [dice=20]+4+2 =12 [rand=271120511132194041442523100915258464913846464661817367994186051874]

Okay, this is completely messed up. As far as I can tell, two of the goblin-rats got a full round before any of us got our surprise actions, and I can't tell where anything was supposed to be when I was supposed to go. Because of that, the rats are in perfect position to AOO anyone who tries to move as their surprise round action. Doran would have thrown his dagger at the nearest enemy that didn't have cover as his surprise action, but it looks like the targets in question got to act before Doran.

Everyone else did get a surprise round action.
I think Harknail thought everyone had gone but missed that you had not.
The two guys flanking Gabe had been standing eithere side of the table then moved down.
Hopefully Harknail will still let you throw that dagger
