If we are done here, perhaps we should look into getting up to the next level via the magic elevator. Harknail points (using his new magic sword to do so) at the alchemists workbench and said, "I think ye missed searching this bench."

Sanem will cautiously examine the magical lifting box to make sure it isn't some sort of death trap. Well, it would be easy to fall off since it is just a lifting platform with no sides. But it doesn't appear to be any kind of deathtrap.

Gabe, following Harknail's gesture, moves over to the workbench and searches through the contents, looking for anything of value.
If a search check is needed, I'll take 10, for a total of 11.

"Well it doesn't hurt for me to take a more thorough look before we head up.", Laira Elereth says as she starts searching the alchemists workbench again to see if there is anything she missed earlier.
Earlier: "Laira Elereth will examine the workbench and warlock implements first, then start skimming the books on warlocks."

What check is appropriate?

Just to clarify, there are two workbenches. One was dedicated to the making of Warlock implements, that one had been searched by Laira. There was a separate workbench dedicated to making alchemical items that had not been searched (that I noticed). Since the intention was obviously to search everything, I thought I should point out the one area not yet searched.
Again many of the arcane components have been ruined by decades of being frozen as have most of the completed alchemical items. Surviving were three vials of Alchemist's Frost and an additional 150 GP worth of arcane components.

Gabe picks up the vials of Alchemist's Frost "I have one of these already, anyone else want a vial or two or shall I add them to my supply?"

Thursagan has a couple of hand axes to throw. I tried to use the Alchemist fire on the adventure before, but I didn't feel like it fit him, so please feel free to use it.

Gabe nods at the advice, then hands two of the vials to Harknail, "Two for you, two for me." He grins and walks over to the elevator, "So shall we ascend?"

The lift platform will accommodate 4 easily. Up to 8 can stand on it if they squeeze together (grant combat advantage). So who's going up?

If we have to split, I suggest three melee folks and one ranged combatant, Harknail and one healer for sure heading up.
However, I'm in for all on the lift and just going for broke - I feel the risk is worth it.

Will it support the weight of everyone at once? If so, I'm for it. Though I suggest we leave Sart behind to guard the other goblin.

Can we ready an action that triggers upon the opening of the elevator doors? If so, we all could spring out when the doors open.

That's assuming it has doors at teh top and doesn't lift us into the middle of an open room. It's a Tensors Floating Disk that goes up not sideways, I'm thinking of it as more of a lift than a traditional elevator.

The elevator is simply a 10x10 platform, with no walls or even guard rails that would prevent anyone from falling off. There are no doors other than a trap door in the ceiling which may or may not open automatically.
But yes you can ready actions to split up as soon as possible.

Ok, let's all go at once and ready an action to split up as soon as we get to the top.
