Morning is beginning to dawn when finally the group hears Sanem's bird call warning that Kobolds are ahead. The trail had passed though two other area's of dense forrest, the last requiring the use of a second sunrod (still glowing smothered in Sanem's pack). The group is tired from marching all day and all night, but the prospect of the oncoming fight brings them to full alertness. Meanwhile Sanem sees that the trail enters a cave, with over half a dozen kobold guards outside. The kobolds are not particularly attentive and did not notice Sanem. He feels he could easily fall back to the group without being noticed. I'll be starting a new thread and putting up a map as soon as I make one (which might not be till thursday). You can make general plans. Also I need two Endurance rolls for everyone, the first at DC 10, the second at DC 12. Each failure means you loose one healing surge from fatigue. There are no other fatigue penalties.Harknail: [dice=20] | +7=25 | [dice=20] | +7=21 |
Although it has been centuries or more since Harknail needed to push his limits, he proves up to the task.[rand=868602172471582941935822856612504520746293710544740600237250328064]

Zack: "But...*sigh*...oh, nevermind." Zack amuses himself by trying to see if the crickets stop chirping as the party goes by and using ghost sound to fill in any dead air. Good idea, +2 to group stealth

Double End Fail. "Huff, huff. Are you guys sure we can't get some rest before we do this? I'm so tired I can barely read my spell book." That reminds me, which spells did Zachary pick for a trip to the tower to retrieve books? He hasn't had a change to change them for fighting a dragon.
Also, the forest is now considered brightly lit (just barely, but it removes concealment modifiers from Zachary and Harknail).

Raylynn had not been exhausted by the journey, she was used to going long intervals without sleep - what being an inventor and all. Sleep just gets in the way of creativity! Or so she would say when deprived of such pleasures against her better judgment. [dice=20] | +9 | 23 | [dice=20] | +9 | 21 |

Already made the first endurance roll earlier, now for the second, 11, a total of one healing surge wasted. [dice=20]+5 Laira Elereth whispers, "Raylynn and I sneak within range, and then Sanem guides the rest of you as close as he dares. As soon as he starts shooting, everyone attacks." I'm pretty sure with a stealth total of 19, Laira can sneak within 10 squares of the kobolds. [dice=20]+3+2=19. [rand=26809888663573156789473165254197973726974075693635216723555705268]

Sanem will go into hiding a ways off from where the party will be approaching, and quietly waken his hawk. On the initial map put me on one of the sides away from the parties approach vectorStealth: Endurance checks: [dice=20] | +1 | 10 | [dice=20] | +1 | 21 |

Thursagan has no problem in keeping the pace, even being the slowest one. He is amused by his companions, so young and so inventive! [rand=1246686810627579785512385424226523561157779768109337069454975426197]
