Sanem will approach the elf with Persephone on his shoulder, and greet him in Elvish <elvish>Greetings brother, how are your travels? What brings you to this forsaken place?</elven> Elzyru replies in Elvish, < Not well, not well at all. Emerald Home is beset upon by a band of kobolds lead by a green dragon. They started attacking soon after the summer snow started.> Myaith is Emerald Home in Elvish, they are the same place. Elzyru translates as Dream of Green Ivory. Laira also hails from Myaith and knows of Elzyru though she never new him well. He is a ranger, though not an outstanding one (I.E. He's an NPC and has fewer powers than Sanem). Elzyru is a loner, spending much of his time out in the woods, which is why Laira doesn't know him well.

Y'know, I read that last paragraph three times after reading Crysun's post, and one before making mine - and not once did the letters 'elf' register in my brain.
I think it's time to stop the caffeine intake.. or maybe I need to up the dosage :S I'm glad I'm not the only one that happens to. I have to reread carefully most of the time. I make mistakes when I have little time and rush it.

"Well met Zynthis. I'm Elzyru from Myaith. It has indeed gotten warmer after that unexpected freeze. I was heading to Moonhaven for help, but I noticed that the frozen tower wasn't frozen anymore." Zynthis replies " Well.. Yeah.. That was sort of our fault."

Zynthis replies "Well.. Yeah.. That was sort of our fault." " Was the summer blizzard your fault as well?" asked Elzyru with an edge to his voice.

Sanem will relay the information about Kobolds to the rest of the party.

Zachary lets the Elven conversation go on in the background as carefully checks the tower for any other new arrivals (lighting the dark corners with mage light.), and then sets about collecting books.

Raylynn smiles when she hears about a dragon, but doesn't involve herself with the discussion and instead works with Zachary to load up the cart, keeping an ear out for what the elf is saying.

"Friends, I think that the elves of Myaith need our help, if we are up to another challenge so soon after passing the last one."

"Oh yes... We literally crushed the spirit out of winter, if you know what I mean. Too bad about that sapphire. It was the most magnificent gem I ever seen." Zynthis replies.

Raylynn, walking past on her way into the tower to get a load of books with Zachary, stops as Zynthis mentions the gem, "Sapphire?!" Her eyes grow a little larger and almost seem to shimmer, "Did you get any shards or pieces?! Where was it?! In the tower?! On the tower?!" She steps closer to the shifter, her voice rising in pitch with each question.

Did I tell you I fell of that roof? Sprang my ankle I did."

Zynthis replies. "Urgent?! Kobolds are besieging an Elven town, under the command of an evil dragon! Let us load up the wagons and then proceed to their aid with little haste. I am sure the paltry sum that we are being paid for these books will pale in comparison to the gratitude of the elven people!"

How many day's march is Myaith? It's about half a day away. Elzyru probably left at dawn. Without the cart slowing you down, you could easily make it there by nightfall.

"Then perhaps you are the people I'm looking for!" exclaimed Elzyru. "The unexpected cold had us worried, but then when the cold lifted things got worse. Yesterday a green dragon arrived leading an army of kobolds. They slayed our defenders, the dragon actually eating one of them. Then they took about a dozen captives along with anything they could find of value. I fear for captives lives, I think they are not intended as slaves but as fodder. And I fear for our town when the dragon again becomes hungry. I was spared because I was away hunting when this happened. I don't think it's a coincidence that the dragon attack came so soon after the blizzard peaked."
By the way, the tower was still locked when you arrived, Sart had locked it when you left, and unlocked it again when you came back. The books downstairs are now thawed, but are still very fragile.

"Dragons? By all means, let's go!" Zynthis says enthusiastically. Then asks the elf "By the way, what do green dragons breathe?"

Raylynn looked longingly at the tower top, sighed heavily and turned to the elf, <elven>Faehilsh Del F'iora, I will come to your aid."</elven> Then in common, "Do you know where this dragon is hiding?"
