I was just curious to see if anyone would be interest in playing some gladiator style fights using 4e rules. There would be no roleplaying at all, just pure combat. I was thinking of having it at epic levels, as I know most people don't get to make it that high, that way you can fight against some of the more powerful monsters in the book that you normally wouldn't see.
Anyways, just wanted to get a preliminary finding to see if anyone would be interested in trying some gladiator style combat.

Ok i'd be interested, but would it be party style or just 1v1? cause alot of classes cant do 1v1 for anything, only strikers would be decent at it. Warlords, Defenders, Leaders, these wouldn't do so well...

Party based. 4e is built around having a party, so definitely would go that route.

kewl yeah i'd definately be up for it, i am a fan of 4.0 actually, i mean i miss alot of how 3.5 was but 4.0 has a decent feel as well, now that they started giving more options on what and how to play lol

I'm interested. There are a number of concepts that just don't work at heroic tear, but kick it at paragon or above. For instance, the duel War-ax wielding Avenger with Twin-strike at will, or the Half-orc Fighter with Riposte strike at will. Not to mention the Scimitar wielding ranger that does damage on a miss.

Awesome, glad to have you aboard. I'd prefer to wait until we have at least 4 people to get underway, preferably 5.
I'm not positive what level I'd start you guys at, probably mid-epic tier, so you'd a tad room for improving. If you'd rather be 30th then just let me know and we can use that.
If we get more people then I'll flesh out character creation rules more thoroughly.
