The first skeleton collapses, the magic of the stone overwhelming that which animates it - at least for now. The second keeps Ylva at bay with a slash of it's weapon showing a concerning degree of awareness and combat ability, as Vadania looks about she realises that the skeletons are not wandering aimlessly but rather collecting into something resembling ranks of warriors.

No longer MIA!
Aelos thinks back to his training, how he wished that he studied how to use turn undead instead of smite evil right about now. Oh well, at least his mace should work nicely on creatures of bone.
Aelos strikes out against the closest skeleton, while trying to keep a position that prevents them from reaching melee range of Vadania.

Also, about that seal... would that be a knowledge religion or arcana to know anything about it? Knowledge - religion, though he knows enough without a roll to understand that it was not a seal against intruders but rather some blessing or sanctificationThe skeleton falls, though more move to take its place. You can see the hole is filled with shallow water, the ground some fifteen feet below.

"The fall shouldn't kill us but it should hurt. It's a one way trip down." said Ka'lion as he looks around for somewhere to tie his rope. He did untie it so it would not be spotted by patrols. So he should have it with him. He does not think skeletons are smart enough to either use it or cut it. So unless the skeletons jump downstairs it may give them a safer place to think.

He did untie it so it would not be spotted by patrols. How did he untie the rope after climbing down it? In any event Ka'lion did have more than one piece of rope.

Ka'lion untied the rope and the. Climbed down without using rope. He is actually good at climbing, unlike the rest of us.

Ka'lion and climbing is easy for him. He in fact gets better at it in a rage. But harknails right, I made two rolls the first to climb back up to untie it and the second to climb back down without using it. The rest of you should take climbing - it's coming up a lot in the game. I am beginning to wonder about level advancement though. Spot check for something to tie the rope to: +5+roll= There are a few torch brackets on the walls, though Ka'lion doesn't know if they will hold the weight of a man. Little else looks suitable and he'll need someone to cover his back while he ties the rope. [Last chance for Darrian or i'll move the game along]

Darrian moves towards the lower chamber they will use as an escape, trying to keep others between him and the skeletons. He holds off on using his crossbow at Ka'lion's earlier statement and wields the sunrod to help give the party necessary light.
Sorry, weekends in general turn out not to be good for me to respond to posts (mainly because I forget and I'm not at a computer).

Backing towards the hole Madaline composes herself and tries to urge the party on, "they can't be that tough, they already got themselves killed once"
The skeletons press forward, the party with their backs to the wall only allow six of them (two armed) able to reach while others press into the room behind them.
A lucky sword strike catches Vadania (4 damage) while another cuffs Ka'lion across the face and seeks to strangle him (2 damage). The skeletons are beginning to act and fight in a more co-ordinated manner as the magic animating them takes full hold.
(Inspire courage, +2 attack and damage) [Tag all]

Darrian summons his celestial dog (Summon Monster I), to try and keep the skeletons at bay. If they stay and fight, he will need the aid of his canine companion he is certain. If not, he feels the dog can at least help occupy the undead as they attempt to flee.
Upon manifesting, the celestial dog, on instinct, will strike at the closest skeleton, preferring one that looks to be a threat to it.

Vadania throws the last of the magic stones and then draws her club to cover Ka'lion as he attempts to tie a rope.

Ka'lion ties the rope first to the skeleton trying to strangle him and second to the torch holder. He figures one of two things will happen. the first if the skeleton gets stuck as it takes patience to escape a rope the second is the torch holder is pulled out of the wall. He'd rather know that before they climb down. use rope +1+roll=[dice=20][rand=1725331465713679853344612126238648596071000210941005123107694089413]

I forgot the bard song for Vadnaia's and Ylva's attacks, that might make a difference for Ylva's attack.

Ka'liom does not rage then. He's still not going to hit with a 8 roll over all.
