If I had left behind my armor way back then, I'd have taken quite a few more blows. Also, I imagine that Ka'lion is somewhat larger than Aelos by natural build (though I am going off of stereotypical looks), so he can probably fit through the hole. If he does get stuck in the hole, the skeletons still shouldn't be able to reach him easily. The party will then mock me and dig me out, then we'll all get drunk about it. Or I'll die horribly, but I'm going to bet on the first one.

Aelos will take up position in the doorway. He is planning on being the last one up, since he doesn't need to dodge around with his armor on.

I've never pictured Ka'lion as big build - more like a slim Bruce Lee with no truly defined muscles and dark skinned. Think gymnast/dancer with lean muscle. Almost rogue type body - he can just take a lot of punishment and is an extremist outdoors men. In any case. It's nice playing again with you David. It's been a long time.

Looking to the forge where the rope is being lowered once more Madaline states, "'ow we gonna get the wolf up?"

Ylva could be enticed to grip the rope with her teeth but Vadania would likely have to follow, leaving Madaline and Aelos to hold the line. Hopefully Ka'lion and Darrian are strong enough to pull the Ylva to the surface.

Around 85lbs - which is the purpose of the strength checks. Vadania needs to get Ylva to grip onto the rope first.

You can do, it's an easy rope use test but it'll take a turn to tie her securely, another to raise her, and a third to untie her unless Ka'lion has another piece of rope to lower - your choice.

I just looked it up wolves depending on subspecies weigh between 40 and 175 pounds.Ka'lion would just lower the other end so the wolf can assist in pulling people up. But he could also drop a second line just in case.

I'm back. Also, for the record, the alert system on the forum is very unreliable. I hadn't received an email since before Christmas...

Darrian considers the idea of him hoisting up the wolf and then replies, "Are you certain you wouldn't want Madeline to come up here first and help us? I will not be of much help..."

Should Ka'lion decide they should try with just the two of them:

Vadania attempts to get Ylva to grip the rope tightly with her teeth and to not let go as she is pulled up. Ylva is well trained, but this isn't something that she's trained to do...

Aelos and Madaline do their best to block the door, fighting defensively to hold the skeletons rather than strike them down - the lesser warriors preventing the armoured skeletons from pushing through.

Aelos can see more of the skeletons leaving the room through another door, they would doubtless find their way around to the forges other door in time and the party could not hope to hold both entrances.
