Ka'lions wearing a mask so red face is hidden, but yes I agree he's angry. But he's not screaming in rage. He's just growling and focusing his strength on pulling the wolf free. If he needs to he'll grabbed the wolfs fur or foot to pull him out of the chimney.

But he's not screaming in rage. Rage represents the barbarian briefly subduing some of their cerebral inhibition on muscle usage at the cost of their own physical health and some amount of rationality.
I'm happy to let Ka'lion use his rage ability as he sees fit, as genuine anger, concentration, ancient Chinese secrets of whatever - but as per the rules anything requiring fine motor control, intelligence, patience or concentration is out.
He's not shouting because he's angry, it's simple exertion combined with a degree of blind focus. But on the plus side the mask does muffle his voice quite effectively.

Ka'lion pulls the wolf out who's next? Ka'lion finally found a way to be quiet. I8o)

Ka'lion pulls the wolf out who's next? It's Aelos' (and Madalines) action then to a new round - Namklin has a day or two to post.

Aelos will continue to hold the line as best he can.
"Madeline, you get ready, I'll head up behind you."
He's not going to focus on destroying all the skeletons, just enough so that people can escape. Saving smite evil for when I either really need it or the more dangerous skeletons approach.

Madaline nods and the two back towards the chimney as Vadania prepares to ascend. The skeletons begin to spread out into the room with the armoured warriors seeking to push through.
Above Darrian has stepped back from the rope now that Ka'lion and Ylva block his way and has spotted what appears to be the late dwarfs pack, or what remains of it, poking out from beneath a nearby rock.
[Tag all - Vadania next at the rope unless she wants to give up her spot]

Aelos will continue to protect those climbing the rope as well as he can. Saving smite evil for when the armed skeletons get near. Let me know when you want rolls and what for.

Vadania will send Maddy up next. Although Maddy is uninjured, she is a easier target than either Aelos or Vadania. Besides, Vadania feels responsible for getting them into this mess.

Madaline quickly ascends the rope, more nimble than she looks. And then there were two, Vadania and Aelos mount the hearth itself with their backs to the chimney itself as the armoured skeletons push through to the front - they are more skilled than the others, one catching Aelos with its sword (3 damage) and the golden-bladed one is amongst them. [Tag all]Let me know when you want rolls and what for. I am assuming Aelos is on full defence unless otherwise specified, but if you want to strike out at one of the skeletons or roll for another action go for it.

"You next," says Vadania to Aelos as she summons a Dire Rat to help cover their retreat. She feels that it was her fault they were in this situation and thus she should be the last pulled to safety. Besides, she was good at dodging.
The above assumes she has a chance to summon a dire rat using her entangle spell, if not (she's not skilled in concentration) she's still send Aelos up first.

(It's a DC 10 concentration check to cast the spell)

That seems worth a try: Concentration [dice=20]+2=3
Looks like no rat and no fighting defensively this round Still she has a good AC.[rand=007980488706380129616998078068718381074189906939868165398549754173]

(Climb check for Aelos, assisted by strength checks from above by Ylva and Ka'lion)
Rummaging through what remains of the late dwarfs pack for something useful Darrian finds several glistening silver quarrels and a pair of what appear to be alchemical thunderstones.

Aelos doesn't like the idea of going ahead of the Vadania, but this isn't really the time to argue. Aelos will put his weapon away and grabs the rope (If I remember right, my buckler lets me use my hand).
[dice=20] + 1 (STR) - 6 (Armor) = -1 If those at the top are able to give a big enough bonus that I don't fail completely and utterly, then yay. If I fall back down, I'll probably try to convince the druid to go first. Besides, you don't get DEX bonus while trying to climb up. Aelos is dragged slowly up the chimney, but unable to make much headway himself it will take precious extra seconds to reach the top.
Below Vadania finds her back to the wall as the skeletons close in all around, unable to focus her spells in the press of bodies as the skeletons strike at her with their swords and try to pry the shield from her arm.
With Aelos just a short distance overhead a good jump might allow the elf to grasp onto his leg, but would those above be able to pull them through or would the extra weight pull them both to their deaths?
(5 damage, 5hp left - skeleton grappling attempt failed though)
[Tag All - Vadania will have to tough it out another round is she wants to wait for the rope, assuming Ka'lion and/or Ylva can drag Aelos out this round]

The original plan of Ka'lion was to have one fixed rope that was just tied to something at top, and a second rope with a small loop that someone could put a foot in and have that rope pulled up as the person being pulled up pulls themselves up on the fixed rope. Is that what we ended up with?

Two ropes were lowered but Ka'lion did not spend a round to firmly secure either - currently Ylva is still gripping onto the end of one while Aelos is being pulled up by the other (wrapped around Ka'lion).
While Vadania could try climbing the second Ylva is not especially heavy or well anchored, and Aelos still blocks the chimney
