Even if she can't climb out, climbing up a bit should help her stay out of reach of the goblins.

It was getting decidedly unhealthy to stay down here. Leaping up Vadania tried wedging herself into the chimney below Aelos. Grabbing the other rope, she did some tugs to signal whoever was on the other end to start pulling her up. She hoped they started pulling before those skeletons skewered her from below!
Vadania doesn't know that it's only Ylva at the other end of her rope.[rand=15236816881224513988769341725856136481951223686345536041131708771]

Above ground Darrian can see Ka'lion struggling to pull the weight of one rope while Ylva nearby is being dragged towards the chimney by the other.
Madaline looks a little hesitant, "what should we do?"

Just to be clear, Vadania is trying to wedge herself in the chimney, she's not putting her weight on the rope (yet).

Some of this is not accurate. Ka'lion anchored both ropes throw the iron grill at the top so if any one fell they would not fall to the bottom. And yes both ropes are wrapped around Ka'lion. But the others could grab the ropes in front of him. The two other thing is Kalion has repeatedly asked for help. No one is helping him. They are acting like the barbarian doesn't need any help. He's not that big or that strong. But if the wolf wanted to help I've seen dogs rip bumpers off cop cars with their teeth on TV live shows - so as a tug of war the wolf could help. . He has both ropes. The wolf doesn't have either rope. But so can the rest of the party. Their unwillingness to help is just going to get Ka'lion even more pissed off. One note: Ka'lion is just about completely spent.( rage lasts 6 rounds for him) If he is unable to pull up everyone this round, he's not going to be able to pull up anything else. Str+2+4 rage+roll=[dice=20]
Sorry guys. But unless the GM rules otherwise your dead. My roll was an 8 - I told you to leave the armor and wolf behind. I would have a few more rounds of rage. Now I don't.[rand=028918808558955791679116464219987437044760608114313755052420310676]

And yes both ropes are wrapped around Ka'lion You stated a few pages back - "Ka'lion would just lower the other end so the wolf can assist in pulling people up." - Ylva is still holding on to that rope.Seeing Ka'lions strength begin to wane Madaline grabs on to the rope and calls for Darrians help. The end of the rope itself remains tight around the barbarians chest as he begins to feel week and dizzy, the mask hampering his ragged breathing and the rope tearing at his fingers. As Aelos slips within the chimney trying to hold his place he calls upon the strength of his deity to aid him, and curses his choice to not remain to the last. Below him Vadania clings to the second rope trying to shelter behind her shield as best she could, the wooden rim starting to break apart under the relentless attack of the undead. [Climb check for Aelos, unless he wishes to drop back down. Darrian can opt to help with the rope or continue to search the pack. Vadania is backed into a corner on full defense unless otherwise stated][rand=31456173110921682891643057010507601570649350095407547218886634965]

Now that Ka'lion's rage has ended, Ylva is actually the strongest member of the group! Not that she's enough stronger than Ka'lion and Maddy to get any bonuses.
Ylva knows the game of tug-of-war well, it's one of her favorite games. And since her alpha had convinced her to hang on to the rope no matter what, Ylva was digging and and tugging with all her might.
[dice=20]+1=9
Hopefully that's good enough to at least keep Vadania from falling into a pack of Skeletons.[rand=3777174178976565605540552828460932078808457823470238920075313653797]

Hopefully that's good enough to at least keep Vadania from falling into a pack of Skeletons. You should make a climb roll for Vadania - unless that was it in which case Ylva needs a strength roll.
[Tag Darrian ... Aelos can't now drop down without flattening Vadania so climb roll for the cleric too]

Vadania is concentrating more on not falling than making any upward progress at the moment.
[dice=20]-2=2
Ouch, this might be goodbye for Vadania...[rand=13468229491263628684533909894526444515662966296105319697503000498]

Next round, Ka'lion pulls the mask off his face so he can breath, and pulls with everything he has left. -2 str ( spent) +2 str = +0 + roll = [dice=20] = straight roll.
note: with a 10 current str: Ka'lion can dead lift a max of 200 pounds staggering. Do to the rope using the grill to prevent falling the GM may rule it's a little higher. But that's up to him. [rand=58581170812249185585305127315223216639466583728826167337456718087]

Here goes another roll.
[dice=20]
I doubt an 8 would work after armor check penalties. Also, although it's not really important, I was wondering if the buckler's armor check penalty still counted since I'm able to use the hand (not really going to save me, just curious as to what others think). Also, at the time of suggestion, leaving behind my armor did not feel like the wisest of ideas.
"Vadania," calls Aelos, "I am making no progress, if you can, try and swap with me." Aelos is figuring that the lighter and more agile druid could get up better than he could. Or at least not be forced to take any more hits. [rand=3504431087033166303308943577804479672660101283287356372417788572885]

Ka'lion reaches for his mask, exhausted, but cannot seem to grip it well. He feels himself falling, his vision a blur of unsaturated colour and spinning shapes ... he feels trapped, contained, and ... strong.
Darian turns from the rope as he hears Madaline shriek "'ees a bleedin' werewolf!"
Aelos feels the rope jerk upwards and grabs downwards, catching Vadania in an arm as he feels a brief surge of energy emanating from his deities symbol.
It's not enough, but it does drag Vadania far enough into the chimney that she can brace herself against the sides. The reprieve is short lived as one of the armoured skeletons grabs up and latches onto a leg.
[Tag all, Aelos' gift of strength goes off as a free action][rand=024051545424946474657915199430409492330306026046856721337426247271]

"Cursed or tribal mask - nice move. But I don't know if I've turned into a wolf or a half wolf - In any case - I need more information - the description doesn't tell me if I've gone wild or if I retain my intelligence. I well respond differently depending on this information. Ka'lion focuses on his breathing, as long as no one attacks him unless he's had an alignment shift he'll stay where he is. If his alignment shifts - things could suddenly get much worse.

I need more information - the description doesn't tell me if I've gone wild or if I retain my intelligence. Currently you are in a daze - just responding to stimulus rather than taking thoughtful actions.
You can feel a great weight pulling against your back and you are pulling against it.

Ka'lion pulls backwards trying to as much distance between himself and what ever is trying to pull him to it. Should I write up a were wolfs template up as modifiers if things get nasty? A wolf adjustment is +4 str, +4 dex, +6 con,+2 wis,(+ an additional ability score do to it's extra hit dice, (+1 wisdom) speed 50+10 as a barbarian, +4 natural armor, damage reduction (5/silver cursed)( 10/ silver natural), bite 1d6+3 (+1 from my str), bite +5 melee (or +8 with Ka'lions adjustments), trip attack, wolf empathy, low-light vision, scent, fort +8, ref +5, will +2, All class skills:(additional skill points 6 x 3 levels:18) 2+int modifier+barbarian skills), handle animal +1, hide +6, listen +1, move silently +6, spot +1, survival +2, always chaotic evil, CR: 3, level adjustment +3, hit point adjustments 1d8+1plus 2d8+6 - get back to me with any notes but you should note a chaotic evil alignment will end this game.

Sorry guys, back. I have been really busy this last week and just now catching up/checking in... This isn't exactly how I'd have done things (Darrian wouldn't have looked through the pack until the party was out and would have been helping all the way with STR rolls), but what is done is done.
Darrian hesitates for a moment, then feeling an all too unfamiliar surge of honor from his childhood days watching his father in court attending to his subjects, he dismisses the new warewolf in front of him as a later problem and pours all his focus into helping his companions stuck in the shaft. He let his mind focus in on the contents of the pack minutes ago and shut out the rest of the world, as he so often does, and for this he is regretting his nature, as he often did when his father looked down on him. He shouts, without thinking, "Madaline, unless Ka'lion attacks you, grab that second rope and pull strong! Vadinia needs you!"
[dice=20] - 1 = 12 STR to help Ka'lion pull up Aelos[rand=6358582563698292476218101335689483470942871645099536937545053661]

Aelos' gauntlet appears at the top of the chimney and Madaline grabs it and pulls as Darrian adds his strength to the rope. Beneath Vadania clings onto Aelos' other arm and kicks at the skeleton below feeling herself being pulled upwards and away from danger, and not a moment too soon. With one last kick the skeleton loses its grip and falls, and as Aelos' shoulders clear the chimney Darrian drops the rope and grabs onto him, pulling the cleric and druid free with Madalines help, Ylva leaping in to help at Vadanias appearance. Turning to look for Ka'lion the dwarf finds him human once again, lying exhausted nearby with the rope still wrapped around him. They had escaped ... for now, the day was drawing close and they were still deep within the lizardmens lands. NEW THREAD HEREkmansadventures.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=game&thread=8761 Should I write up a were wolfs template up as modifiers if things get nasty?
