Welcome to the land of Sira are tail begins with are heroes and heroins in the city of Aren, the capital of Abes.
it has only a few ships coming in and out of harbor each month,
The a bazaars are lively full of laughter mainly from the children running through the city. there no buildings for it seams like there is only tents lots of them and tents move all the time so there is not an exact count.
there is one odd looking building near the harbor a large a mudbrick one, built like a poorly made fort and is not yet complete.
camels, and donkeys seam to be tied to a few of the tents, and help load and unload off the ships to the mudbrick building.
caravans of different tribes come through hear to trade and restock, and in a few days head back to other parts of Sira, this is the very last stop for it is on the South West Edge of Sira. and not many come out this far.
today 2 caravans as well as 2 ships have come to Aren,
the sun has just risen so it is the dawning of a day, and perhaps dawning of a new age of new hope and adventure.

Callo stepped off the boat and onto the dock, absent-mindedly slapping aside the hand of a pickpocket amongst the crowd of children that mobbed disembarking passengers. Raising her parasol overhead she gazed out past the tents to the desolate desert beyond and smiled, it was good to be home.

Glancing at the sky to check the weather Callo made her way inland looking for sellers of figs and other fruits - the fare on the ship had been salted beyond reason. She silently cursed the financial difficulties that had led her to accept such board, the search for the phoenix regalia proving as costly as it had proven fruitless. as you more in land you notice that the rivers that use to flow hear are all dried up and all that is left is dirt and sand, leaving no trace of condensation, this could not happen through natural means, for rivers don't just dry up for no reason.
a few kids wonder over to you, they look about the age of 9 or 11.
"Please miss we are thirsty, we have run out and can't afford the water tax for we are poor, please miss we may die if we don't get any soon."

"What taxes? And what of the wells?"
The sea was not more than a stones throw away, even if some fool had dammed the rivers the city should not run dry.[rand=006914445243196954238608203634239385671577756362977325187764294151]

see that odd building, men came form the sea and landed hear some time ago. all we know since they have been hear the well is off limits and surrounded by guards, that is if you pay them the water tax, we don't know much about what a tax is only that mom was very sad and cried when she talked about it, so it can't be a good thing if it make mother cry. the tax has been hear for a few years now. you have to pay them to fill your jug every time it runs out. 10 gold for a full and 5 gold for a half jug. other then that they will not fill it. sometimes they cheat dad, he says he payed 10 gold they say he paid 5 and what will he do about it? i saw dad and other men get pulled in to the jail more then once for standing up to them. if you get caught stealing water they kill you. the wells are all guarded, so you can't get to one with out have to pay the tax.

(10gp for a jug of water? That's a months wages for a skilled labourer)
Callo eyes the children, then shrugs and throws them a waterskin - little more than decoration to her, she had lived here too long to rely on wells and rivers for survival.
"Make it last, I have no more." A lie, of course. The childrens story seemed unreliable but the building was curious.
Finding a quiet spot in the shadows of a larger tent Callo pulled a rune-encrusted dwarven mug from her cloak and softly spoke the command word, best to be sure of things.

Walking in from the desert Skar is wrapped head to to in desert traviling clothes. Pulling the purple cloth from his face to take a sparing sip of water from his water skin he shows the dusty green skin of a half Orc. Having been walking for days with only traviling rations he is wanting some real food... fresh meat or fish, anything other than his dry rations. looking around for a food stall he spots a strange mud fort in the sea of tents but the want for food is greater than his need to check out the building at the moment. Standing taller then most men by at least a head people part in front of him staring at the half Orc and the huge falchion on his hip.

I have they players call the skill when they think there are being bluffed etc.
i will not ask if you want to seance motive, for i feel the roll play is better that way if i don't.
if you want to bluff you must say you are, i may or may not roll seance motive for i feel it has more suspense in that regard, did he find out or did i get away with it kinda thing.
the half Orc Skar can hear calling out for it is very load FISH! FRESH FISH, COME AND GET YOUR FISH!,

Hearing the call from the fish stall he heads that way. Moving with ease through the people he comes to the fish stall. "Ill take that one" he says his bluntness making the fishmounger give a nervous grin. Handing the stall keeper some coin Skar takes his fish goes to find a quiet spot to cook up his breakfast. Meal times are one of the times he realy likes the dangerous Orc look he has. Not being botherd by anyonne other than the few children playing who dares get close to the monster.

(Sense motive appended to first post for ease of reading - assuming Callos mug functions as normal she will sip the created water and pour the remainder into an empty skin - i'll edit this post if circumstances change)
Callo mused that it would be a simple enough task to disguise herself as one of the dock workers to get a closer look at the mudbrick building but there seemed little point. Striding back towards the dock she looked for someone of likely authority to confront.

The journey had been long. That must be the reason, Glass told himself. He would have never agreed to this in his right mind. Glass was far from his right mind however. Looking at her during the entire boat ride had seen to that.
During the entire trip he hardly spoke to her. None of their conversations lasted more than three sentences between the both of them. And yet I am so fond of her, he thought to himself. I must be no more than a face form the boat to her. Glass considered this and gave an inaudible sigh under his breath. That was probably how it should be but had already told his friend he was going to go try. Why had he said that? He would probably understand if he did nothing. In fact he probably expected it. No, something must be done.
By the time glass looked up he saw that she was gone. He looked up from a grey settling over his heart like the fog had on the sea just a couple of nights before. She was walking back! Well, not back but coming this way. Glass bounced lightly down the gangplank and off the ship. Glass reached down as if to pick something up or re-lace a boot. His cloak folded over him and for a moment all that was visible was his cloak and his face, not that anyone looked or cared. He stood back up with a bright orange desert flower in his hand more beautiful that most and yet odd. (Prestidigitation) It would return to sand in an hour but with luck she would notice by then.
His heart was beating too quickly tho think. He couldn't talk to her. She (Callo) wouldn't want him anyway. But he might at least make her day better. He walked nervously past her as he attempted to covertly slip the flower in her bag. [dice=20] +8 -2 (He's nervously conspicuous.)

Callo instinctively swats the hand away without even looking, another pickpocket... elf? Glancing over her shoulder she spots a remarkably conspicuous figure, shoulders down, seeking futilly to vanish into the crowd.
She grins. Ameteur.

She touched him. He hadn't expected that. He didn't reach his hand all the way into her handbag. The flower had dropped but where? In the bag or to the sand? He hazarded a glance and became locked in her eyes for a heartbeat. She was staring straight at him and she was smiling. He blushed, in feeling more than in image, his grey skin only barely changed hue. Glass forgot to look for the flower. In an instant he cut a sharp left for an alley and then B-lined as fast as he could walk back to the ship. His friend would like to hear how things went. How did they go?
Modded for grammar.

A noise more akin to thunder than a burp escapes Skars mouth, scaring off the children who were playing near him. Packing up his cooking kit he decides to take a walk through the market and in the direction of the mud fort.

so as he gets closer he sees
The mud fort stands fairly tall about 45 feet tall , there are few towers but a few look only half built. to what would be shocking to him he sees two half Orcs standing guard outside in front of the double doors with the doors closed behind them.
there also seams to be a few human arrow guards up along the sides of the fort
then the doors open and a camel and a few farmers walk out.
the guards halt the workers in nomadic, they check the water the camel is carrying. the guards let them pass on.

"I know your happy and excited but we need to do this in a way so that you can all get some, children please form a line youngest in front, we each get a half cup."

Skar walks up to the half Orc's guarding the door. "Hi brothers" he says in Orcish "didnt expect to see my kin around these parts, what's brought you here?"
