The "lone" figure of Skywatcher trekked in from the desert, pulling his robe tighter about him as he stepped through the gates. Smiling faintly at those around him he made his way over through the bazaar. He peered over the heads of the assembled throng of smaller creatures, searching.
Well, he was here now...time to get to work.

Callo notices that the mercenaries attention had turned to something else, misplaced footprints with no owner. Blinking, the world around her changed to a sharp contrast of colours but the footprints owner was lost in the crowd. "We were being watched"
Checking her bag she quickly finds the flower, it's magical aura clearly visible. A way to track her perhaps, could the Seropaenes have finally come this far... ? The memory of her earlier encounter, the out of place elf that had brushed against her in the street - he had been on the ship as well.
Motioning to Nokomis "Can you follow these tracks?"
Best not to jump to conclusions, but to also take no chances. Recalling the elfs distinct jewellery Callo opened her mind to her Vestiges senses ... her eyes turned towards the gateway, the mudbrick wall, and the elf somewhere beyond.

Motioning to Nokomis "Can you follow these tracks?""Certainly, as long as we do so quickly, Tracks do not last long in a city. Fortunately, most of the town is here." With that Nokomis confidently strode in the direction the tracks lead. Tracking: [dice=20]+15=17 OOC: Assuming the ground is soft or very soft, Nokomis can follow the tracks at full movement (not double move) even with the poor roll. If the ground is firm, then Nokomis will need to move at half speed.[rand=056126395007595423651057302486151599993053055368368779835407622159]

As the stranger spoke Callo listened carefully to the intonation of her voice, seeking any clue of her motives or feelings - the agents of the Seropaenes took many forms and this trackers appearance was convenient ... but she seemed genuine enough. Callo shoot her head. "Jumping at shadows" she thought to herself, perhaps the elfs motives were innocent.
Following the trackers lead Callo focussed her mind, the light of the sun reflected strangely from the world around her as her senses pressed beyond that of mere mortals.
To her left the newly arrived orc shone with power, no simple guard. Beyond him another taller figure stood out among the crowd and the tracker too was cloaked in magic. This was no ordinary gathering.
[dice=20]+22 Sense motive (vs Nokomis). Any other invisible objects or magical auras in Callos line of sight?[rand=980538201268122385092187370635460345056054717022311420366278181138]

For someone as skilled at reading people as Callo, Nokomis's intentions were an open book. It appears that the desert dweller really was just looking for employment, with no intention of betraying those who employed her. She seemed to find nothing wrong with the current arrangement in the city. But although Callo did not see any evil intentions in Nokomis, nor did she see any indication that Nokomis was inclined to help others out of the goodness of her heart.
With a roll like that, I have no problem spelling out exactly what Nokomis intends :-)

Skywatcher coughs, embarrassed, and starts moving through the crowd, seemingly unaware of the scrutiny.
"Um...Excuse me, do you - I mean...no, sorry - oh! Do you...no, I...could...use some help."

the most important one you find is the weal is magical.(need to look up the school of it). the tracks lead them past the weal and it was in eye sight of both women, for it is rather big. yet that is not that it was big that was important, what was that the weal had magic. The guards don't seam to have much magic, but a few do have magical armor and weapons and the walls are just normal walls. in the crowed with your invisible sight you can see a gray elf waling at a brisk walk that you could not see before and you only now saw him when you turned on your sight. he also is pinging off with magic.
with Nokomis's help you are able to fallow the tracks and start to gain ground on the elf, and now are able to keep him in eyesight.

(OOC: I'll let the DM describe the magic you see on Glass.)
Blissfully unaware of his entourage, the consequences of his actions, or pretty much anything not placed within three feet directly in front of his head; Glass ducked into the empty tent beaming a grin.
As he crossed the threshold some squeaks could be heard from somewhere. To callo's eyes that somewhere might have been the elf's hood.
"Don't tease. You know why I couldn't just hand it to her."
*Squeaks*
"I'm afraid there are many people that don't see it that way."
*Squeaks*
"Hmm... I wonder."

Skar is lead into the building and he is taken to the north wall. there he sees a tall half Orc, he is holding a halberd in one hand long bow strapped to his back. he looks at your uniform. " I take it your a new recruit, what skills and training do you have?. we need to put you in a place you will be best at, If you lie to me and you get a job your can't do it is your own dam fault."
in the courtyard the locals seam to be afraid of the Goliath and they look at the guards to see if they will do anything. some nomad mothers grab the kids and walk way, not showing hostility two guards walk up to him. "what brings you so far from your lands?"

The fabric of the tent behind Glass rustles and a clear, firm voice states "would you care to explain yourself?"

As she speaks glass becomes visible to all. She had the sentence formed before he became visible. "Are you Kahkamahh ah Mah'ta? (OOC: An eye of the Dragon, if you speak draconic.) . . . No, you would have just told your master."
The voice was familiar. No, it was hers! Glass's mind went blank and his heart started beating quickly; then he felt a small sharp bite on his neck and he snapped back into reality. "I..! You saw me?" He said, his eyes narrowing and his brow perplexed.
Edit: She doesn't know the properties of my items, just that they are magic right? Also, why isn't +5 mithril (Fey-craft & thistledown) glowing? I would think it would light up like a lightning rod. Would she be able to see any of the magic items under my cloak or just a glowing cloak with a more prominent glow from inside? Incidentally, my armor is under my clothing.

(Callo can only sense that the items are magical, and then only because she has time to see them clearly as she talks to Glass. She would get some impression of the schools but not the exact nature of the items)
"You were not exactly subtle, now answer my question.", Callo did not seem angry, but wary - as if the wrong answer could quickly change her mood for the worse, and the figure with her was palpably dangerous.

Callo's keenly trained scenes are, for the most part, completely unnecessary. Once glass realizes who he is talking to it is clear that he is completely enamored. However, someone other than Callo might not have heard the murder in his voice when he said, "Are you Kahkamahh ah Mah'ta?"
(During this conversation Glass shifts his eyes from Callo's eyes down and to the left a lot.)
Glass turns slowly and looks Callo in the eyes. A small rat, or perhaps large mouse, sits on his shoulder. It squeaks quietly into his ear a few times. Glass glances at it and then looks back to Callo and sighs.
"I met you on the ship, though I doubt if you remember. I, I just wanted to give you the flower. I thought it might make your day a bit better but," he slowed down stretching an arm out to Callo as if to offer a flower, "I did not think you would accept one from these hands."
The arm Glass reveals has been horribly mutilated. Scars layer scars and run all the way until the clothing stops sight. Glass turns partway away out of embarrassment and shame.
"I'm sorry. I never dreamed you would find out or that it would trouble you." Glass stops and remains awkwardly silent until Callo speaks.

Callos expression softens, and then she laughs "no worse than the face of the last man to offer me a flower, though he was a prince... or so he claimed. You worry too much."
"As do we all" she thought, "Be more direct, all this sneaking around will give a girl the wrong impression, and this is not a good place to be caught with your hands in someone elses possessions."

Glass turned again to meet Callo's eyes as she brushed off his scars, searching in earnest for sincerity. Even among his people, eyes were always looking away.
Glass took a deep breath and said, "I'm sorry. The error was mine." (An Elven saying, though being spoken now in common.) "Allow me to make it right." Glass offers his hand again, this time not in demonstration but to shake. "My name is Glass and this," he nods to the rodent who gives a squeak, "is Neevin." "Would you," he pauses, heart beating faster, "join me and a friend of mine for food at The Traveler's Tent. Of course we have water and wine too," he added recalling watching the girl give away the last of her water to the needy. Glass decided to go for broke. "I would enjoy talking to you a-nd we might be able to help each other." He blushed a little as he said it but his eyes never left Callo's.

your comanding officer does not look happy put it away, if i attack it is only to kill. you will be tested sooner then you think but for now you need to learn the ins and outs of how to defend this place. since your a close combat like me are job is to defend the arrow men. there good shots but if things draw in close they are goners. that being said the north wall gets hit the hardest in most battles so it is heavily fortified. fire is a different story if you don't know clerics and wizards are dead, buckets of water are left for that reason don't move or touch them in less things are on fire. the faster you put it out the better for mud does not do well on fire. we don't have time to train if info is right we may be attacked by nightfall. we best get the people in but don't say we are under attack panic is not optimal.
A human comes running down the hall." We are under attack, we are under attack " Commander looks at Skar get the people inside the gates now and that an order do it now."
