"I understand that but..." just then glass and the cleric walk back in,

"welcome back glass. I think your friends here have something to tell you and it is rather important. I think you may want to sit for this."

5 mins later Callo walks back in and all 7 of you are back in the room.

When Glass enters the room, Nokomis again explains her views that the red dragons were not go looking for bodies and would simply assume that they perished here. And if they had perished in the sand dragon areas, that would not likely be bodies to be found (since they would have been eaten). She then suggests that the town make use of the bodies for food and hides.

Nokomis's suggestion may convince others that she is not a good person, since she is willing to eat intelligent creatures. I'm assuming that life in the desert is hard, making those who live in it be less squeamish about where their food came from.

In the mean time Glass is going over the plan in his head, wondering if his heart was getting the better of his brain.

Glass did not like the idea of going ahead with this plan so opposed. Is there another way? There was. Overt. It was very overt, but it might be able to turn the tide of a battle.

When Glass gets to the commander tells him he has news. "To those of you who have held reservations about my plan be at ease. I think I have found other means and more pressing concerns." Turning his eyes to the commander, with only brief glances to others Callo he says, "Flip me a coin as my prize. Commander, you say you know nothing of what the well does save that it brings forth water every day. I will tell you everything there is to tell of it. I only ask that you provide me with the tools I need to keep you safe in our absence." (Glass passes the commander a list: 3 scrolls, Move Earth, shape metal, and Animate objects. Ink. One coin to be used in the defense of the city—not for personal use. One orange ion stone as a quick lone.)

After the commander inspects the list Glass raises his burnt hand for the man to see. "Watch closely." Glass said as he dipped his hand into the bowl of water he brought with him. "I promise this is the least of it's secrets."

before glass dips his hand in the water the cleric excuses himself " I forgot to do something rather important ill be right back" and comes back a few minuets later, with a grin on his face.

" If it can do what you showed me then we must protect this weal. very well glass i will give you what you ask for. have you considered helping the these others locate the king? I don't see how doing what is on the list will protect us until the king arrives but i trust you. now you should all...

a officer comes bursting in, and in a stern voice " I told you that I was," cutting him off mid sentence "I know Sir but You need to see this you all should come and see this. it is a miracle. all of you outside it is truly amazing"

"Everyone with me", and he leave fallowing the officer,

Do people fallow him outside?

Just a note: none of you saw the list and never spoken aloud, glass gave it only to the commander, and so far the contents of that have not been shared. so in truth Callo does not know what they are up to and does not have the info to go off of. I just wanted to point that out.

grim: callo edited that post for they thought they had info they did not have and it was not just referring to the people on the dock. for callo know of that and that part was fine. the old post had a part referring to info on a list glass gave to the commander but none of you saw the list.

thank you Callo for understanding that you did not have that certain info/editing accordingly.

moving on:

as the party exits the fort to the court yard, cheering and shouts of joy, even the guards who are always stone faced have smiles and raising fists in the air celebrating. you all make your way to the North east wall and on it you look out and see the once bare and dry lake now full of water. and a river now stretches beyond the northern border of Abes and winds its way into this land and flows into to the sea.

tears of joy streaming down the commanders face in a small choked up vice manages to say" I can't believe my eyes, i thought this day would never come,"

Callo was surprised by the expanse of water, countless millions of gallons created in moments. An illusion?

She shook her head, if the well had such power it had now been announced for all to see, a prize the likes of which even the greatest dragons would fight to the last.

Had this been Glass' plan all along, or simply opportune? Looking around she sought to descern the exact nature of the magic in play, the power of such a summoning would burn brightly for some time.

Looking around and making sure everyone is preoccupied Glass says, "Fetch for someone who knows how to cast Magic Aura—quickly."

Glass folded his brow. Cruge or the orc named Scar? "This, commander, would be a perfect example of the power I was referring to. Cruge, Scar; do you both still have your coins?" It was the sort of question you got asked by your mom when the sweat bread was missing and you had crumbs on your face. "Hmm. We should go back inside, where I can address this more freely."

Looking at the large amounts of fresh water, Nokomis comments, "I think the chimera bodies have become irrelevant. This will attract the attention of the red dragons."

Shrugging, she turns to the commander and adds, "But for now your people have fresh meat and as much fresh water as they want."

Glass looks at the girl and grins. "I suppose I'm in no position to chastise you for eavesdropping. It's simple. The well itself is to large to hide. What just happened is not. But I wont say more than that outside."

Glass turns and heads in, ushering others to do the same.

Callo catches the elfs arm as he turns, "there are others here looking for you" (quick description), "they are expected at the dock in minutes, but if they are allies of the dragons..."

Glass stood starring awkwardly at her until she let go of his arm. His mind started to function again. Lands! I was supposed to meet them. "Yes, of course! I had forgotten them in the rush." Glass takes out pen and parchment, and the scribbles a quick note the men instructing them to come here. He signs Glass of Sand. "Thank you." He says to Callo before turning to the commander and asking him to send someone to meet the men. He then asks to see his list again, crosses some things off and adds one thing. (Ion stone and animate object are gone. Bead of karma is added. Also added; As much metal as possible—Statues, broken weapons and Armor, buckets, ext. Literally as much as you can get your hands on and then more. Ask the city to pitch in. Tell them that you are erecting a statue of Isis to commemorate the return of the river.)

Glass turns again to go inside.
