"That would do it," agreed Nokomis. "How are you going to convince them that we could restore their homeland to them?"

"There are a number of options. Perhaps the most important thing to consider is their position. Their dwelling is incredibly precarious, which they know considering the constant guard. Between the upheaval and rebellion of all of cities original inhabitants and the fact that they face retaliation from the dragon who owns this space, if they want to survive, they have no room to rest." "While difficult, a more harmonious and just arrangement might be reached between the citizens and the sand dragons in the interest of mutual survival. In addition I will need to send word to the dragon who stakes this land as his and wage the possibility of a treaty between the those parties as well."
"These.... are just some of my initial thoughts on the matter. I am open to suggestions, but in order to enact discussion I will have to send a message to the appropriate parties as custom dictates. They will be obliged to behave themselves... but not if I do not introduce myself first.
She looks around for responses and feedback from the party.

Crudge is for this, he does not trust the sand dragons but so far the plain does not get them killed, and it seams like the best one they have.
" I think this is the best course of action at this time. we should send the letter rather soon so that we can get the talk with them as soon as possible. I was thinking that if all they want is the nest, and the gold and brass want victory. So IF the blues also join in, the reds don't stand a chance. there would be a lot of gold to split as well as land. so what we do is this. the sand dragons get their land back with 20% of the total gold gotten from victory. the blues gets 20% as well and now has allies so if sand dragons try anything they have back up so no one messes with them. the brass get 20% so they can build better castles to defend the people. and trade with two dragon nations. the gold get victory and 20% as well as justice vs the reds and should be enough for them. for i don't think they wish to live here and if they do they get the reds capital. leaving 20% for us, not a lot yes but for the greater good of the reds being defeated is a better cause. also my bet is they have a lot of gold so we may get more then we ever need with the 20% . so ya if we can shorten that in a letter i think it can work"

"Well then, if you wish to negotiate with them I suggest you do so before they flog any more of the population to death - or there will be no one left to save."
The enchanted bird pops out of existence and a new one appears next to Callo, "I will go on ahead, and will try to pass warning if they move to surround you or muster their forces against you. If they have no desire to talk though I fear your odds of victory once within the city appear poor."

Brienne nods, Fear is a fickle friend to a negotiator. I will send introductions and inquiries at once."
She flies up to Skywatcher's shoulders and nestles into his hood, pulling out writing utensils from... somewhere. She reclines, thinking and creating her letters to the appropriate parties. She mutters now and again in Draconic, more to her letters than to anyone.
TO STAFF: I believe there's a thing I can do where I get little creatures to take messages or something... I'd like to do so. PM me if you need further details on the content of the messages.

yes that works all you need to do is see a animal and when it comes to you ( you would know using food helps), you then cast the spell and then can attach the letter to it and it runs of to where u tell it to go. you can tell it where to go non verbally if u want. you can use more then one to get as many as you want and go to the same or to a different place. it lasts a few days, ten for u i think. one can get to the city, and one to your master if you wish to let him know. the others may not get to the place. The blues, or brass are to far away form you so even with 10 days it is much to far. yet the other 2 locations they can get to just fine. There are a few smaller animals that live out hear trying to hide from being eaten out here.
Once she was done finishing the letters, she had a new task to find a way to deliver them.
As the fog rolls away and the spell wains. There are a few lizards around but the party could not see them til now. they look over to see the party but never get to close.Animal Handling roll Dc 10. to get them to come to you. I figure you can both do what is called taking ten, so instead of having to roll you get a ten, in this case a ten passes.now being more friendly they come over and start running up the parties arms and legs but not hurting them and stop in the warm places in the body such as the chest. and nibble on the fingers. they look hungry. The baby blue plays hide and seek with them. They move for cover he snorts the sand to uncover the one that dove back into the sand. he grabs the largest one( a medium sized) He holds one in his mouth but not tightly. It does not look happy and tries to scramble out but can't. you calm it down and it lays in the dragons mouth and sleeping. the baby blue now looks a bit sad "darn it now that game is over. I was going to let him out and then capture him again, I call it escape from dragon teeth. Im going to play over here now." and he drops the lizard.she then casts the spell on one of them and the best one to do it on would be largest one. a soon as she is done casting it, the lizard snaps to attention and salutes her.

As the fog rolls away and the spell wains. Prior to the end of the spell Callo will make her move, summoning a phantom steed and casting both pass without trace and hide from dragons upon herself, her mount, and her summoned bird. (at this point it would be significant to know if she vanishes from Nokomis's sight)Rendering herself and her mount entirely invisible she rapidly crosses the distance to the city, assuming the form of one of the half-dragon guards for now but only as a precaution - she will remain hidden in the shadows unseen and allow the summoned bird to once again roam. It will not be long until the fog lifts, and the messages sent to and from the new rulers of this place will be interesting to hear, not least as they would reveal the true decision makers.

Nokomis sees her friend vanish along with a bird and a phantom steed. things seem to be disappearing.
Callo rides along without the dragons hearing or see the three that boldly crossed into the territory. her transformation is now complete, and she looks as the guards do. the bird once more is able to fly to the grand hall of the dragon king. in a few minuets( about 20 or so) the half dragon guards see the lizard.
" why do you think this little guy is out here so far?"
guard 2 turns to look at him " how should i know, i have been standing here all day" the lizard darts between there legs and scampers under the gate in the direction of the hall. They both blink and in unison " did he just," then guard one nodding "well we both saw it,the crazy things we see out here, O well at least something interesting happened today."
and they go back to looking out and defending the post.
the lizard makes it way to the central castle. it solutes the guards at the entrance. they pick up the note and look at the seal on it. " we have a urgent message get the one of kings servants out here at once
in a few minuets one comes out. "give this to one of the adult dragons and don't open it 4 if you do the king would not be happy you read his mail, now go." the letter eventually gets to the king. the bird is able to see one of the young dragons enter the hall. and in draconic " Dad you got some more mail. well put it on the pile and leave me be." ( there is no pile to be seen)
"Dad this one looks urgent it has a seal on it. They all do son now..." DAD i think you may need to read this one for it has what looks like a dragon seal on it. "O I see, bring it here"
the dragon king opens it. and reads it.
"Son we are going to have gusts tell the servants to prepare for them and a feast. we must look nice for the diplomat, they will need to be escorted so no harm to come to them while we have our talk, and double my guard in case this is a trap of some kind."
With that the lizard scampers off to deliver the second message it had.
( This one will be further away so it will take a few days to get there. but it can get there before the ending of the spell time limit so no issue. )

Nokomis and her brother stand guard against any surprise attacks, with Nokomis watching the sky and land and Gosendor using his keen senses to also notice anything burrowing though the sands below (blind sense).

no surprise attack is sent, your brother plays in the sand but is alert, nothing is in the sky or coming for the party. But it never hurts to stand guard
the cleric prepares his spells.
seeing there is nothing morepeople wish to do at this time it is now time to go meet with the king.
As i understand it right now Bre, Sky, Crudge, are all going. the ones i need to know from are:
Nokomis( has not objected talking with them, i don't know if she wishes to go as well as her brother), Skar ( i have been told has been having internet issues, so please ask them what they wish to do and ill do that) are going to meet the king.
Callo is in the city, and can go if you so wish. If not, i would like to know what your doing while they have the talks.
Glass: i still need to hear what you wish to do and if you wish to go talk or not. If your not going what your doing in the mean time.

Nokomis fully supports the idea of diplomacy. She's willing to come along, but won't insist on it. She's leaving it up to the diplomat to decide if her presence would help or hinder negotiations with sand dragons. She's willing to go with or without her brother, but isn't willing to let her brother go without her.
Nokomis has participated in negotiations with blue dragons, where having someone related to blue dragons was deemed helpful by the diplomat doing the actual negotiation. That's how she ended up with a full dragon child to rear. But Nokomis is a loaner, and has little experience with swaying others to her will with words.

Callo is in the city, and can go if you so wish. If not, i would like to know what your doing while they have the talks. Callo will watch, but not attend. If things go poorly the element of surprise is the only advantage the group had here. Skar will go into the city with the group, confidant of his strength even against such odds and no stranger to the wars and conquests of the sand dragons. (Grim's internet expected down for another week or so)

All but glass for do to his displeasure with the talking idea stays behind the rest of the party starts to head towards the castle other then Callo for she is still in the city. Once they get about 100 feet way. 5 small sand dragons pop up from the sand. One of the 5 sniffs the air and then flies up and bows. He then speaks to Nokomis " Our king asked us to look out for you, you must be the diplomat that he said was coming. " ( Fullmetal Alchemist reference when they all think Al and not Ed is the Fullmetal Alchemist )

Brienne gladly accepts the participation of anyone willing to lay down their blood lust and join her in a peaceful evening of negotiations.
Are we still waiting on Ben? I can't tell.

( well i could not tell what we should do at this point. As Dm i have to make a hard call on this one : So at this point No we are not waiting on him. At this point we are moving on with things, he had more then a week and i feel like game will not progress if we keep waiting. I have asked for people to post in a given week once it is their turn, so things like this don't happen. I know i am use to table top, but i did ask him a week and a half ago. So i put him in the backdrop for now.) (Also i have heard for Curdge and he has told me after this section is over to phase out his character. As a Dm i don't wish to run characters. I was playing it for i was asked to, and I was thinking it was a part time thing. I thought that he would at some point want replay the character, and i have found out he will not be. just thought all of u should know. )

Taken aback " O i see, my mistake. you must understand I find this very odd. If not you then this wonderful blue dragon hear must be.
your brother smiles and then about to nod yes thinks about the consequences for a change. and then shakes his had.
Well some one hear MUST BE!
" im sry, this is a difficult task and i was given very direct orders and i must fallow them. you must all understand Dragon ambassadors are very rare, let alone non dragon ones. This is most interesting but duty first."
"If the ambassador please reveal themselves so that i can properly bow to them out of respect. It is my job to escort the ambassador and those who accompany them to the castle. I also need to know so i can officially extend them the promise nor them or those who accompany the ambassador as long as all fallow the Dragon accords will be harmed."

Watching the conversation Callo shook her head, no wonder that the reds had pushed them from their lands.
She glanced around the area looking for any others who might be observing the new arrivals.
