There seams to be a sand colored carpet rolling out, shouts of "You there shine your shoes, fall in line, don't make eye contact with the ambassador. If you screw this up you have ME to deal with. soldiers are not forming a saluting reception line and the king is now on the lower steps. a crowed is now forming and other guards are now policing the situation and have blocked off the crowed so that they can't get to close.( it is like a parade in our times).

Brienne smiles in a diplomatic fashion, and makes the appropriate oblations to the (dragons? people?) who are receiving them. She flies herself but stays near to Skywatcher. She also appears unarmed. "A strange thing indeed. Not only to have a dragon's ambassador be not of their kind but of my size as well." She laughs a little at her own lightheartedness.
"I trust that all present will be treated with the same respect you are due me." She says in a more serious tone to the (guards? escorts?) that are seeing them to the current master of the city.
Should I be doing some sort of die roll or just roll playing for now?

At this time we are just Rping: As soon as the dragons see she is the diplomat they bow their heads in respect. The leader of them does not look directly at her and keeps his head down but you can hear him say. "My lady I had did not see you there. My sincere apologies. I hope you can forgive my mistake. Your friends will most certainly be treated well for we wish to please you and not have bad relations. If you can fallow us we can take you all inside to see the king. I hear you have a welcome party waiting to get a glimpse of you your highness. so we will take a defencive formation just in case" and the 5 of the dragons then do as they say and take a defensive formation around the party. we are ready to protect you, if any harm comes we will be ready to defend you. This way please." and they all set off on foot for the castle.

the 4 of you are saluted at the outside gate and let in. People are cheering, banners waving in the wind. music is playing. It is a very happy time in the city, yet the guards are doing the best they can to hold them at bay, preventing a stampede.
The Kings allows the 4 of you to walk up near him he is accoponied by 3 adult dragons and one smaller around the blues age.The dragon King bows to Bre. As he does so do the guards kneel and the humans bow ( like in China when the royalty came.)
The king lefts his head
Nacomis can see her brother catch the eye of the female sand dragon. She playfully bates her eyes at him, he makes a face and she giggles and blushes. both obviously are not paying to a word that is said and rather go off and play with each other.
"We are humbled by your presence and i thank you for making the trip so far out here. Yet as you may agree this is no place to discuss important matters. From what i understood of your letter it is a matter of great importance. You look rather tired from the trip, the desert is not kind at times. Please make yourself at home. what ever you need my servants can attend to it. we can co-vine at 7pm. ( right now in game it is noon) " He then walks into the steps and the door leading into the main castle open and he marches in and the guards escort you in to your rooms. (they are the gust wing). the young dragons then say we are outside if you need us. two on the diplomats room one on the other doors.

Callo ambled along the rooftops, watchful not to draw attention from the humans below lest they alert the dragons to her presence.
The mood here had certainly changed quickly for a populace being worked to death, magic? futile acceptance? or perhaps just a divide between those who had bowed to the dragons and those who had not.
The spells that warded her would last but a few hours, and then she would be reliant on her summoned spies and the concealment of a simple rope trick to remain undetected until the new day. But those few hours would be more than enough to observe the dragonkin here and to mimic them should the need arise - pass phrases, greetings, duties, friendships and rankings - Callo set to work.

This will take a series of rolls but your doing this over the course of the day
please make two rolls of each :
Gather Information ( From you)
Spot ( from you or your spy)
Listen ( from you or your spy)
I think you have a feat that lets you recall things at will so No straight up intelligence roll needed to memorize them. You have a high Intelligence to be able to make it anyway.

With the meeting not scheduled for many hours the ruling dragons would likely confer on their actions and strategies ... what were they up to. [dice=20]Sense motive +22 Actions over the following hours - Callo will leave enough time to ensure that a suitable rope-trick hiding spot can be set up. While she is confident of her disguise the dragons could be a paranoid, as could she. [dice=20]Gather information +7 (Callo - around the city) [dice=20]Spot +13 (Callo - around the city) [dice=20]Listen +8 (Callo - around the city) [dice=20]Spot +5 (Bird - inner chambers, watching the dragons) [dice=20]Listen +3 (Bird - inner chambers, watching the dragons) And for the disguise itself - [dice=20]Disguise +43 (plus any other circumstantial bonuses, 10 points of that are magical illusion, 10 more are shapeshifting, the rest is just the act) Binder/chameleons don't get nearly enough skill points to do this well, but those rolls will go a long way to helping that [rand=694976967986100406412897197336698158198094572724386264050787047212]

Nokomis will keep her keen eyes and ears peeled looking for signs of treachery. She's not being paranoid about it, she expects it likely that the dragons will have them under observation if they are at all worried about adventures in their midst. But she'll try to spot the watchers, and look for anything that looks like preparations for an attack. As they are moved though the building, she'll also being keeping an eye out for possible escape routes, though she doesn't really expect to need them.
She sees her role here as part bodyguard for the diplomat and part draconic presence to help with negotiating with dragons. She takes both parts seriously. Thus she looks for trouble and escapes even though she expects no problems. Life in this desert has taught her to be prepared for the unexpected...

or even how they like their coffee That's the most important part of a disguise - you can get away with 'forgetting' a name or password, but the social miscues will make you stand out every time

very true, and you pulled some great rolls so you are blending in perfectly. you can be any rank in their military you wish to be fyi. you can move about freely without hassle. the guards seam to be talking about some dwarfs and gnomes that have been causing trouble, and the efforts to find them and stop them have been in vain. they have been working rather hard to find them but to no prevail. ( knowledge battle would be under history) so if you have history to can make the roll, about the kind of tactics that the dwarfs and gnomes are using.

Nokomis is able to see and hear a lot from inside the castle as well.
the best way to escape if it is needed are multiple ways: both rolls were high. One is to the kitchens and leading to being able to get out the back on the second story of the castle. There are a few stairs from the third story that can be taken down to 2 hallways. one has doors on along the hallway leading to the main chamber but down further you can see the kitchens so you don't have to go trough the main hall. the main hall does not have doors leading to the kitchens. the third story has stairs to the roof and only one guard that is standing there. with her hearing she can hear carts pulled by drakes that travel along the sides of the castle from time to time. they seams to be stairs to a stable. and she can hear the staff pilling barrels, and boxes outside. there are opening in the wall so you can jump out of the castle into the boxes or onto the carts. so carts are parked outside but she cant tell were exactly. there is no prep for an attack, they seam to be more interested in protecting then harming the party at this point.

what is Skywatcher doing at this time?
eventually all the party members enter the guest wing on the third story. the chamber has a window giving a wonderful view of the city below. There is a basket of fruit, and a grand table with comfortable chairs. the table is full of food, gold and silver goblets on the table full of wine and 4 large jugs of water. the table then starts to set itself with plats and utensils. there is a banner with a welcome ambassador and friends!.

Nokomis is happy that things are going well so far, she keeps her observations to herself for now. It looks like an escape won't be needed, but if it is, she'll be ready to direct the others to escape. But she will be thrilled if her preparations were for naught.

( today we are introducing the a new character named George)
It has been a long time since George had found a clue: The only lead he had was that the sand dragons had half dragons among them, and the brass dragons of the city had a library and it may contain yet another piece of the puzzle. Seeing he looked like a blue dragon did not attack him out of dragon law or in slave him. he was welcomed as a guest a month or so before the party arrived.
Seeing skills the King assigned him as a personal body guard to the royal family, and at times to any high profile guest. This job when he was not on duty allowed him time to look at the books, but there were hundreds in there and needed a lot of time to go through them all, so far no luck.
On the day the party arrived and were sent to the gust chamber: In the Main chamber room the king summoned for George. when George arrived looking a bit tired: " George i am very sorry you have not found what you seek, but it will have to wait for there is work to be done. You may not have heard til now that there is a dragon ambassador and her body guards in this castle. I think they may only wish to talk but she does have a lot of body guards for one so small. I feel like there is something that does not seam right about this. that many body guards? why? I keep asking myself why so many. I am afraid someone or thing may be hunting them. your priority it to assist her and my youngest daughter out of the castle if things attack. I can protect myself on this one so don't worry about me or her brothers. We can't have a international incident, a dead ambassador would not look good. we will start the talks in a few hours. please be here when they start. That is all you are dismissed"

With a nod of understanding George takes his leave. Having spent so much time in the keep already he simply slips through the passage ways to where he thinks the princess will be located. Knowing he must find a way to protect both the princess and the Ambassador he chooses the princess first, knowing the ambassador has their own guards.

you know where she will be on the roof for the view. princess is almost never in her chamber always trying to fly off somewhere never wanting to stay in the castle like her father wishes. The ambassador is one level below the roof. as he is walking you can here a swishing of a tail and a light flap of wings, but not flaps of take off. As you approach you hear:
" George i know its you. i knew it was a mater of time til my father sent you. Im old enough to look out for myself you know. but since your up here might as well look at the view with me. can i ask you something and you have to promise not to tell my dad "

Unseen and unheard by the dragons a bird settled on a roof nearby. Across the city Callo paused to watch and listen, another blue dragon, though it's movements seemed slightly off for a reason Callo could not put a finger on.
From the conversation the female sand dragon with him was of some import and the blue was also adorned with a golden torc, perhaps a symbol of rank or family. Peering closer for some identifying symbol or seal she focussed on the torcs' clasp...[rand=00378241073118168461387188934557441791161265829072125973938060570566]
