I had the idea for a while i would like to restart this game in 3.5 or pathfrinder if i get enough interest please let me know.
Backstory red/evil drongons have taken over mostly the entirety of the desert continet. all rebellions have been put down for over 100 years. All spellcasters have been slain including clerics some do live but in hiding and must hide what they are. Few among the peoples wish to fight back in secret but dont yet have the number. Will the dragons fall and the land freed or will they once more put down yet another rebellion and take full controll once and for all. Main used are gods are Egyptian and Dragon gods.

Still here, with the worlds most unnecessarily complex 3.5 character.

cool, Harknail I know u have never played pathfinder but if you go online there is a srd, look up Pathfinder srd. ( It is all free) I will give you a full rundown of everything you will need. Same as D&D srd but better in this case.
If you wish to keep your character that is totaly fine for we and modify it so that you can. They did not change rangers all that much, made them better in pathfinder, and yes you can keep your half brother.

ya i think you will like it a lot. I was like most of you so when i first played with it i had no clue what i was in for. Great news now that i have 3 players i can get things going and if you wish i can make an npc. So go to pathfinder Srd start with Lv 7 characters. I say stick with the core for your first character, but gunslinger and magus are new ones, pathfinder has lot of fun options if you wish to explore the new things. like i said what is on the srd goes cause i can always look it up but simple for your first time may be better 4 u.
Also Harknail it says ranger does not get animal compainion but I dissagree with the book cause u should, so just use the druid's and aply it to yours. Then take improve animal compainion feat and that will work out just fine.

What is the method you use for rolling stats?

we can if you all want but i rather not i forgot you were lv 12s had to relook sorry for miss info, so make them lv 12.
I Like rolling 4d6 but at times u end up with great or extreamly bad rolls. I know in my other games point buy works out well enough for me to use it more, i just never know how many points to start you all out with is all.
if you have imput as to what is a good base for point buy points let me know, if you don't know the pointbuy system ask, At cause he can explain it better.

Then Go with 28 starting points so that u can be a bit more powerful, for i know its going to be needed if we have 3 players it can work ok, i can make party npc if i all wish but not a cleric, as u all know im playing 2 in other games on here.

If we're keeping the same character, do we also keep the original die rolls, or do we need to remake the character using point buy?
Also I looked at Pathfinder rangers and they do have an option for Animal Companion (same as druids, but - 3 levels). But I don't see any improved animal companion. Considering Gosendor's new status and that he's now connected to a princess, perhaps he should be promoted from companion to NPC at this point (along with the princess). Not that my character will feel any less responsible for him, after all he is still her younger brother.
One major change in half dragons is that in Pathfinder they all have wings. So Nokomis can fly without magic armor. But having wings makes it very difficult for her to hide what she is while in town, and that was part of the character.... Hmm, must think on this. Could also make armor fitting difficult.
Also what magic do we start with? Should we just find the pathfinder equivalent of what we already had?

Start with 12th lv gp so 108,000gp. I talked to harknail and if u like he did wish to transfer items let me know and we can see if pathfrinder has them or if not we can make them, heads up there will be some changes cause they did carry over most items but not all.

Looks like we had leveled up before the game ended, so we were level 13 (11 for Nokomis).

Callo is switched (somewhat) to 12th level pathfinder - mostly 3rd party stuff with not a lot of crossover outside of the PHB spells so not much to change. Didn't touch the skills, feats, or stats except to increase/decrease them in-line with the pathfinder rules.
13th level would just be another level of the same prestige class - two class character all the way.

Ran into a problem with Nokomis, there's no Pathfinder equivalent to the Oversized Two-Weapon fighting feat that lets Nokomis dual wield scimitars like another famous ranger in D&D fiction...
Will you allow that feat to be used anyway as a house rule?

That feet is fine and we start game at lv 12 not lv 13. Most of u were half way to lv 13, some who stayed did get to lv 13 but to make it simple on me start at lv 12, in a few encounters u will get there.

Looking at the description of a pathfinder half-dragon I see "The breath weapon deals 1d6 hit points of damage per racial HD possessed by the half-dragon". The problem is that Nokomis had class HD, not racial HD. Does this mean that she no longer has a breath weapon?
