One of the men is felled by Ka'lions bolt and two more struggle to make much headway against the entanglement, though with only grass and weeds to hold them the spell is not as effective as it might have been as the other two are able to pull back in good order and rejoin their companion.
[tag Ka'lion / George - one more easy target at +2 to hit and the rest at -2]

( basicly on my turn its reload and fire at best target. He will only draw back if they try to charge them and have npc reload and fire if he knows how to use one. If all change at us its time to get out of there. Doing so to move things along so no waiting on me. )

More of the men are caught in the second entanglement. In no position to charge they simply focus their efforts on cutting themselves free and pulling back inch by inch. It's slow going but with only grass and weeds to deal with the spell will not delay their retreat for long.
The suvivor catches his breath long enough to say "thank you wizard, and you too."

We let them go as we check on the fallen. Any survivors Ka'lion and George will stabilize with cure minor wounds - it would be nice if at least one of the fallen was from the attackers - we would like to know what's going on.
Ka'lion does not correct the man as to them being wizards. He's a spellcaster and thats close enough for most people.
So have many are we going to be able to save? Some of the fallen may just be in comas or dying but are not dead yet.

George is not going to misslead the guy, he has been through enough. This time he is amused how off he was, known magic comes in all kinds, best give an education .
" Not that it matters much but im a cleric and he is no wizard, he is a druid but yes we both can cast spells. There are two branches of magic, arcana and devine .This here animal is our friend. Ka'lion i think we best get to a higher ground in case they come back.
What is your name?"

"Fabian"
The armed men pull back past the site of the fight, slowly working their way free of the entanglement. They check their fallen companions, dragging them back into cover away from the group.
When you finally lose sight of them they are far enough from the other fallen men that you can approach safely, if cautiously. Only one still breaths - a woman who should survive well enough with magical care, her injuries appear to be limited to a shallow head wound that knocked her unconscious.
Fabian shakes her by the shoulder, "Beatrix, get up" (a cure light will be enough to revive her)

" Stand back, shaking her will do no good but my magic might save her,"
George uses cure light wounds on her.
" It will not wake her up, she needs rest. but will heal her cuts.
It helps save lives but i have to touch the person to heal them, its how i healed yours.
Same spell in fact. Ka'lion your leader what is our best course of action? "

"Our best course of action is to let them ride but we will lead Runaway by the rains. I don't want my horse stolen do to charity gone bad. I don't think either of them are able to move quickly while injured if we need to run. We will find some cover and you'll take care of them at nightfall and I will hunt the attackers down. I want to know why they are here. And on one point you are wrong assuming I live long enough to retire. Some day I will be a wizard. It's important part of my heritage. Perhaps Fabian can foresee the future." said Ka'lion

Fabian looks mildly offended and mildly confused by Ka'lions words. When he makes way for George to tend to the woman he moves to his fallen companions and grabs up a pack and a few personal items for each as he checks them for life, "did you come from Burr Town, is the siege over? We saw the coronation storm and were trying to return when we were set upon. I've not seen their like before."
George notes that unlike the townsfolk none of these people appear starved.

"We killed the ibaxian cheif with some of our freinds. I'd say the ibaxian's attempt this time is over but most of them ran off in the direction we are headed and the armored men that attacked you are wearing colors simaler to a scouting party led by a dark elf my freinds and I saw near the wizards estates about five days ago.
Now it is not safe there. Two big monster cats are hunting on the wizards estate but the wizard issent dead - just on a forced vacation. Food in town is limited but avalable. If I was to make a guess I’d say the scouting party and the armored men are either opertunists or behind the ibaxian attack on the town. But thats just a guess and I’m been wrong a little to often lately to say I’m sure of anything.
Do you know where we can find another horse?” asked Ka’lion

"Horses? No," Fabian shakes his head, "not here in the mountains, aside from carts and riders coming up the old pass from Merebas."
He considers, "at least none that would be easy to get. Smugglers use the hills, and there are all kinds of strange folk who hide out in the more inaccessible parts"

"You called a coronation Storm? so it was do to a crowning of the lady? Is odd that one causes a strom or a non mediforical one. What magic could do such a thing?
Also i could not help but notice your trip seems long with all this food you have packed, you look in shape to run like that your not from burr are you?"

" Also another point we are not robbing from others, that is a bully tactic, we stoped them cause that is what they were doing to you.
Does not give you the right to do the same to others. I did not save you so that you could steal.
You may want more training with that blade, a journy to not having to steal but paid to protect your friends. Yet pick what you see is best.
ka'lion we need to get them armor. Not that i would want this but will the fallen armor be of use? just an idea is all"
