Ka'lion's knowledge of death knights is limited to stories and legends of various fallen heroes of champions of evil, ultimately defeated by a suitably noble knight in shining armour, or a childs innocence, or the belief of a pious priest. He recalls they might be vulnerable to silver, or was it running water... ?
"We can't stay here, if we are to confront it we should find somewhere not infused with negative energy. Perhaps there is a shrine within the temple that was untouched"

"The vault room should be blessed - especially if it contains evil. I thought we'd ask the god to open it for us. The question is what should we promise him." said Ka'lion, "I really doubt the god would want to abandon his temple to the dead. You don't need to be a priest to ask a god for help. I will say this I really doubt the god will support rescuing the barbarians below. After all the barbarians kinfolk murdered a lot of people in Clearwater Most if not ll of them innocent."

Elika starts moving out away from the living quarters, before the death knight or whatever it is can return, "things don't work that way Ka'lion, if they did the gods would have intervened already. I don't claim to know the rules, only their purpose - to stop rival gods and demons from turning the material plane into a warzone."
"When you said you wanted to enter the vault I assumed you had some way in mind to do so"

"I can get in. All it takes is a pick and hard work from above the vault but it might take weeks. I haven't finished searching the libraries yet and until I have the information I need I'm not going down. We don't have enough back up and we are not going to get any unless we get very lucky. So we are here looking for information. Luck favors the prepared mind and we need a great deal of luck if we are going to get in and out in one piece." said Ka'lion

"Then you should heed my advise and travel north, hire mercenaries. You will not be able to break into the vault while under siege here." She starts towards the exit from the church, "but the barbarians if they are still alive do not have weeks, and as I have told you I intend to at least see if it is possible to save them."
A distant echo of sound from further within the temple makes her move more quickly, "we have wasted valuable time and resources here that might ultimately have cost others their lives. Now I don't intend to waste mine but I do intent to risk it, and if that is not to your taste then so be it. The well is in the north west of the town surrounded by three statues of fauns should you change your mind."
(doesn't look like an npc undead hunter is doing you much good, and you've passed up on a fighter. Next up a brigand if you are going to part ways with Elika, and lv5 if you can accomplish something of value to your character or the setting.)

As the pair emerge cautiously back into the light and begin to move towards the well they spot a new figure, humanoid, lightly armoured and wearing deep red robes. They stand on the rooftop of a nearby building looking towards the smouldering buildings to the south seemingly unaware of their presence.
Ka'lion can make out the shape of a bow and a light sword amongst their possessions, though they are otherwise lightly equipped. Their robes and armour make it difficult to determine their species from behind.

Wary that their pursuer might track them out here Ka'lion and Elika move away from the door, down the path to the palisade. Ka'lion and Scar continue on through the buildings towards this new figure while Elika watches his back.
(how close do you want to try and get, and do you want to signal anything to Elika?)

We'll head out the front gate - if we are followed we'll learn what Ka'lion wants to know. But if we are not it most likely means no one was watching. Which suggest that the numbers inside are smaller then Ka'lion thinks they;re are.

I mean - where does Ka'lion want to move relative to this new figure? Currently they have their back to Ka'lion, and Ka'lion emerged from the back door to the temple (which is where Elika was walking).
He can re-enter and head to the front of the temple if he wishes (or walk around the outside to the front - though that will take him into the newcomers line of sight)

Moving into the newcomers line of sight is fine and he goes around the temple.

The figure turns and raises their bow as they see Ka'lion, who is suddenly aware that he is concealed beneath a shadowy cloak and leading a blood splattered wolf - he has called others necromancer for less.
A second target catches their attention though as they shift aim and fire towards the temple's back door, and at some unseen signal zombies surge out of the main entrance with some heading for the gap in the palisade while others look to clamber over. Ka'lion is directly in their path.
Actions and initiative - it will take a couple of rounds at least for the first zombie to clear the wall.

Scar should not currently be covered in blood animals groom them selves all the time and Scar was not in the last fight - he was still outside the door. Ka'lion summoned that wolf.

Elika is nearby - by the buildings rather than the palisade (a little further away from the temple than Ka'lion).
Ka'lions init puts him first to act.

Ka'lion calls Scar to him and turns in to a wolf and they run to catch up to Elika - she may not know what is behind her.

Ka'lion quickly reaches Elika who has taken shelter behind a building - from where she stands he can see that the undead warrior from the temple is sheltering in the doorway with his own bow drawn, but seems focussed on the newcomer on the building roof.

"WATCH OUT! UNDEAD ARCHER IN DOORWAY OF TEMPLE!" calls Ka'lion to the red robed man on roof.
