Erandil answers, "Well back in the days when Nerath was settling the Nentir Vale, minor lords in search of land to call their own established manors and holds throughout the area. Kalton Manor was one of these, a small keep raised by Lord Arrol Kalton about two hundred years ago. Lord Arrol intended to settle the lower vale of the White river, but it was not to be—monsters from the Witch- light Fens drove off the tenants Arrol had brought with him. At the end, Arrol and a handful of his servants and family lived alone in a half-finished keep slowly falling into ruin until they disappeared as well. Stories tell of hidden treasure—the old Kalton fortune—hidden in secret chambers beneath the ruined keep."
Erandil paused before continuing, "Since you seem the adventurous sort, I thought maybe you'd like to see if the stories were true."

Erandil elaborated, "There are abandoned manors all over the place. But according to the stories, Kalton was quite rich. And I've never heard of his manor having been looted, so his treasure should still be there."

Arriving home for the first time in years was...interesting, to say the least for Aegis. For one, last time he'd been afraid that his parents would hate him due to his pursuit of wizardry, something that such devout and pious worshipers of Palor didn't like due to the whole "Demon-blood" thing that they had. However, when he arrived, he found...a larger dwelling, although not literally. Since he'd left, his parents had apparently had two more children, as when they answered the door, they each had a child in their arms. It only took a second for them to recognize who he was, but it took them nearly a minute of agape staring before they put the babies down and embraced him.
The conversation was quiet, unlike the conversation before he left. They'd thought about his life choices, and considering that they thought he had been off to no good, they HAD kept in contact with him. They'd been worried when his letters stopped, but seeing him in person was another thing entirely. They weren't normally loud people, but the two of them had yelled at him that night. Now? It was a conversation, a real one. He'd made his choices and they'd made theirs, even if they regretted it now. He was apparently allowed to use his old room, which had been tidied up since he left, as his other siblings had by now gotten old enough, the two that were younger than him, to become journeymen outside of this land.
It was quiet.
For once, he enjoyed it.

She gets the feeling he normaly takes the wanted dead or alive contracts given how he asked. The look in his eyes say that 99% of the time when he takes them, the contract/bad guy ends up dead.
To him, he is not braking laws if he takes contracts from lawful good cities to do so.
Incase she is wondering, she may think he is a a sellsword but really he is a bounty hunter that rarely brings in people he is chasing alive.

" Thrack been to citys that chops off heads and hangs people of crimes. How is killing bad people different then city killing them? Thrack save them the time of feeding them til bad people die anyway. Thrack not understand why Thracks way is wrong if contract from city says it's ok. Thrack only take contracts that let Thrack do it Thrack way, why take contracts that are harder work for same pay?."
