The ogre swipes and Tink and Vadania but seems more focussed on regaining it's feet as it tries to fend off Ylva.
Across the bridge Brennen catches sight of the ogre mage preparing a new spell as he moves to a safer spot on the bank.

Ka'lion, unconscious, senses for a moment the jumbled distant words forming into an offer, a bargain, a trade... and then suddenly he is awake again and unsure of exactly what was offered and in return for what.


Ka'lion is prone but awake. If he chooses to accept this vague offer of patronage he may - choose now.

Ah, ok.
Yes the bridge is quite long and Ka'lion had originally walked across to the far edge of it. As Vadania/Brennen wanted to be in cover within 30-60 feet I had positioned them at the far end of the bridge, using the bridge itself for cover (as the open road beyond the bridge offered no protection).

Ka'lion takes the offer he can't remember as he'd die otherwise but he suspects its a set up of some kind. Ka'lion casts on himself cure light wounds but he won't move until he has a better idea whats going on.

Ka'lion has been healed by Vadania - so it's a free choice either way.
The nearby ogre is too busy with Ylva to care about him for now.

Ylva tries to keep the ogre from getting up, continuing to tear at it. This might be difficult for a normal wolf, but Ylva was in the same weight class as the ogre!

Unable to get to his feet with Ylva on his back the ogre warrior fights more cautiously, trying to keep his shield between himself and Vadania as he strikes at Ylva - though his is unable to connect a solid blow.

At the far side of the bridge the mage shrugs aside the attacks of Ghost and Brennens energy bolt and levitates above the bridge out of reach of Ylva and melee attacks. The group prepares itself for another frozen assault but instead the mage casts his hand towards Brennen outlining him in a crackling purple aura of arcane lightning (4 damage, and D6 ongoing).

While Ylva and Tink keep the ogre busy, Vadania will take a moment to heal her self with a cantrip aided by her ring of healing:

The prone ogre manages to defend himself against most attacks, though Ka'lion is still able to strike down on him due to his relative inability to move while Ylva holds him in place.

Seemingly close to death the creature clutches at fetishes hung from a leather belt about his chest and his wounds begin to heal, content to focus on defense for the moment.

Brennen fires again, and once again his magic seems to dissipate against a barrier around the ogre mage. Ignoring him and the owl Ghost the creature turns his attention to Vadania, targeting the casters despite the predicament of his companion.

Watching the ogre mage more closely Brennen believes the chant is an activation for a magical item rather than a spell, similar in some ways to faerie fire but far more harmful and powerful enough to shine through the warlocks darkness magic.

Vadania wasn't inclined to kill someone who surrendered even before Ka'lion spoke up. But she would worry about that if the ogre actually surrendered. She did make note of the fetish that the ogre used the heal himself. Meanwhile she started backing away from the prone ogre. Ylva shifted to flank with Ka'lion as it continued to tear at the ogre and keep it prone. Vadania decided to help Brennen with the ogre mage, calling another lightning bolt from the sky to strike the ogre mage from above. She'll use the last enhancement of her storm cloak on this bolt.

At this time she doesn't think the ogre fighter is surrendering, rather protecting himself until his companion can turn the battle in their favour. However given his situation and injuries that may soon change.

The flying ogre seems little affected by the magic of either Vadania or Brennen, content to wear them down from a safe distance. His wounded companion seems unlikely to last much longer though even with his magical belt.

Tactical situation doesn't seem to have changed meaningfully, so Brennen and Tink will take the same actions as last round. Aid another for Tink, readied blast for Brennen.

With the power of his healing item waning and the mage seemingly indifferent to his troubles the ogre on the bridge pulls his shield across in-front of him and rolls off the edge of the bridge into the water below.

The ogre mage turns his full attention to Brennen, likely surprised the warlock was able to penetrate his magical barrier. Taking a bow from his back he fires a particularly large arrow into the bank near Brennens feet - almost certainly not a warning shot as he pulls another from his quiver.
