The group drifts apart as George, Shamious, and Ka'lion gather at the fire to play cards while a short distance away at the shore of the lake Vadania and Brennen wait for Tink to come up with information. Tink returns soon enough and recites what she had found. Night is drawing in however. (Actions? If the party is just resting up for the night choose spells now)Vadania offers, " I think I might be able to remove those gems using Stone Shape in the morning. Do you want me to try?" |

OOC: I thought Ka'lion was over by George, not with Tink's group
Vadania answered, "That's easy, I cast Breath Water and Freedom of Movement, then walk along the bottom to the stone ring and cast Stone Shape. There might be problems like traps or aggressive creatures currently hiding, but drowning isn't an option."

Ya shamious im sick of this in the morning we leave. O and your right ka'lion but its worse then you think it is for them i see that now.
They are past in over thier heads they are flowdering and what is worse they wish no help in getting out. Even worse they scold you for going off by yourself yet they jump in head first?
i cant stand by to watch that another reason why i left. I need to help those who want it but i have to let them them pick to use it. I can dissagre with the choices and i can try to influence them best i can but not make them for themselves. I have seen thier picks thus far and one day it will get one of us killed. I wont be around for that day to come and i pary im wrong.
You staying and coming back each time with them tells me much about you. There is honor there tho they cant see it. Your welcome to come with shamious and myself you will always have a place with us if you wish it.

Tink is a bit like Vadania in that she tends to be a supportive leader - but that's not leading. Think is leading a team of misfits. Being able to trust people to watch his back is very important to him. But so is his life. Which was always my problem with the way Vedanta leads."

We know that tink wont do what is nessesary but i can. I think its george way of tell us or me for that matter to step up. What i mean is he teaches not always with his words but of course you seen that for yourself. I have never seen him go to bed this early. Its waa his way of saying to talk but not be tried next day. He wanted us to get to know eachother ka'lion to build trust. Every once in a while when i think i have him figgured out he surprises me with a teachable life lesson. Would you apose me leading?

" Then i honestly dont see george staying . I am not taking the leader roll as stop gap to keep him to stay, that is not way im doing it. It would be a horrible idea to become a leader for that reason and george would agree that for solely that reason it makes bad leaders. Also picking ones out of desperation and list grows long so ill cut it short but you get the idea.
He has trained me well its time i stepped up. This is me stepping up to the occasion.
Honestly that him staying if i am leader is a bounes. Im sorry you dont think im ready i think he does tho. Yet this is possible my last chance in a long while that ill get. So i had to do my best to take my best shot and did so. As george does i value what you have told me.
I ask your here in the morning when he plans to leave to say goodbye it would be far more painfull to him if your not here to do so.
Do know its hard for him to make that choice he is but i dont see much changing his mind. I wish there was.

Hmm lets see[ abilty to hold breath and swim check Ability to breath water and walk along bottom of lake, check. Will be making excursion during the day when there is plenty of sunlight. In addition carries a shard of sunlight. In addition skin glows dimly. Also still has a couple of sunrods in backpack. Light covered with triple redundancy. Check. Common sence in going in alone and if doing so could piss of what is down there... nope.. No one ever said she's going in alone. Can grant Breath Water ability to everyone who wants to go. I figure that will include the optimists (Vadania, Ylva, Brennen and Tink), and not the pessimists (Ka'lion and George). Will lission to reason nope Will listen to reason, check. Will take all reasonable precautions, check. Will listen to "We'll all drown" without any explanation of how people able to breath water are going to drown, no. Will spend weeks learning a redundant skill not needed when using magic, no. Check list complete, ready to go in the morning if Tink think's it's worth trying to try recovering the magic gems from the magic stone. Spell list will be determined after hearing from Tink if she wants us to get the gems or thinks it's not worth the effort. |

I think George and Ka'lion are greatly overestimating the risk, but Vadania won't try any more to talk them into an underwater adventure. |

Brennen is willing to try and identify the gems. Might as well. What's the worst that could happen? Dunno if stone shape will actually get them out, but I guess it's a fine spell to have access to. I'm sure Harkall never read them - I haven't and I collect the books. Ka'lion will go down. He just considers it reckless to have an underwater adventure if you can't swim. He's looking forward to telling the party he told them so.

All I have is the Player's Manual. Mostly I'm using the online D&D SRD for reference. And those spells aren't listed in the SRD.

( i actually own both books and yes both are in there.
Do keep in mind George wont be there to tell them anything other then goodby.
I made it very clear in where as a character he stands on all the issues. Its now up to the party to convince him to stay.)

I was able to search for these spells online. Aquatic Escape looks to be redundant with Wild Shape. Heart Of Water looks interesting for 1 person, but I think Water Breathing is better because it allows an entire team to go investigate.
As for convincing George in character to stay, I'm getting the impression that that isn't possible 
I don't see Ka'lion and Vadania ever resolving their differences, their styles are just to different. Vadania wants to go work on stopping the demons. Ka'lion wants to avoid conflict why preparing for a later flight. Playing the game the way he wants to just doesn't seem like D&D to me, and I don't think I would enjoy that game.
Perhaps it's time to split into 2 groups again, so each group can play in the style that they would like.

Well Vedanta is chaotic good - thinking she is neutral good and Ka'lion is neutral with lawful or good or chaotic tendencies - it's overs why they don't agree on everything. Ka'lion thinks of fighting the demon's as type of rummy and Vandania thinks of fighting the demon's as card game of war. That's how each of them fight. Vedanta doesn't care about anything but the fight and Ka'lion is looking for a favorable hand to bet on. George I think may be playing hearts or old maid (not a put down; just that your looking for pars to improve your hand), Our bird man - I'm a bit confused as to which game he's playing but I'm thinking Domino's at the moment. I'm not trying to be critical - just observing these characters thinking styles. What needs to change is we need to be playing the same game. Well that's my 2 copper pieces for what it's worth.

( perhaps Peinuckel might fit him best not sure if its spelled right is i think more George for this reason :Its a card game that yes pairs among other things helps win but it works best if its ran with teams. With also knowing what is in your hand but looking for passing best cards to his/her friends or getting him to pass him thiers to help them both win best they can. Yet it relies on a lot of good communication of and to your teamate, otherwise you pass wrong cards and you both lose.
I can see the idea you were getting at and no i dont think its a put down at all i just think you might have mist the one that fit him best. Also the one i picked might not be wellknown, my dad played it a lot with his family.
O and shamious is the card game gin. Trying to toss usless cards to make best of what he has until its to the point he gets gin. Yet he has to work at it daily and still has many cards he needs before gin. Yet its a risk to keep some cards but you can toss out everything.)
