"We don't really know what is going to be out there, which is why the skulls have been sending people to scout it out. The condition of the forest and what we can divine of the mythal suggests neither have been maintained in a long, long time."

"We may need to hire a few gardanners to go with us then. It sound like to type of job you'd you'd want unseen servents to do for you. So if they trigger traps - no one gets hurt." says Ka'lion

Astwick offers to return in a few days, unless Ka'lion and George wish to return now and leave the wrights to their work. Whether or not the skulls would send a more powerful mage was yet to be seen but for now the magic of the figurehead seems to have calmed the winds around the building.
(move on to the new quest or stay here for now - your choice, though there isn't much left to be seen here as the bulk of the old adventure was tied to the demi-plane)

The party spends a few days working through the books. As Riin had feared moving them in their fragile state had not helped and the results of the wrights work varies from clearly legible text to scrawled gibberish. Ka'lion spends most of his time studying the first book though, preserved somewhat better than the others it contains rituals of knowledge and power. Ka'lion suspects that following through with the rituals might not be in the best interests of his sanity though in return he does not doubt that his knowledge of the arcane and outer planes would be increased. By the time Riins supply of blank books runs low and Astwick returns Ka'lion and George had grown somewhat jaded with the stone forest, perpetually cast into stillness by the magical figurehead with nothing but the incessant scribbling sounds of the wrights, oppressive heat during the day, and freezing cold at night. The decision is made to leave the figurehead in place and return with those books now copied, sending more materials for the wrights back to continue their work alone. kmansadventures.proboards.com/thread/8963/myth-mythal
