Just as the group was finished resting after the fight, and after they had removed any valuables from the bandits and disposed of their bodies, they saw more people on the road approaching.
Fortunately, this wasn't another ambush, simply more travelers happening to come by at the same time.
Coming from the direction of Fallcrest was a half elf, which many recognized (DC 5 int roll) as one of the bards playing in the taverns, one who had been especially interested in the stories of their kobold adventures. Beth recognized him as an old friend from Harkenwold, an entertainer who had left Hakenwold before she had run away from the trappings of nobility.
Coming from the other direction was another half elf, this one a woman in heavy armor. Next to her was a lightly armored male halfling. These two were strangers, but did not appear to be hostile. Though they did appear to be somewhat wary as they approached the heavily armed and blood spattered group...

( Actually Dak did acknowledge beth, K and the group for that matter on the hole.
So no he did not shun her or slight her in any way. Im sorry if thats how she took Daks words/actions but there is genuine concern on his face for beth and the team.)

I can see how the mistake was made, I had to reread it closely to see that he did ask if everyone is OK after he specifically asked Beth.

Keiyanna quietly nods acknowledgement, and waves to the group, visibly uncomfortable in a social setting. She places her very heavy looking great sword on the ground, it's unused blade glinting in the sun. With a rattling thud, she sits down on the grass.

Mika stays back near Aegis. Her heavy armor and emblem on her shield makrs her as either a cleric or paladin of Erathis. An unusual profession for a tiefling. She's willing to let the others do the talking.

"It looks like you've seen some action. Run into any bandits recently?"

Bishop nods, "we have been seeking the bandits launching attacks around Raven Roost, they have been attacking caravans beyond the protection of Moonstone Keep."

A look of recognition flashes across Keiyanna's face.
"Raven Roost? By chance, did any of the bandits captured, hold in their possession, a Dwarven trinket? It would look like a small portrait, cut into a gem, mounted in a silvery white metal ring."

Keiyanna answers, "I see. Will you continue to hunt down bandits? Would you mind if I joined? There is a debt I must pay back." Keiyanna glances down at her great sword, the styling definitely Dwarven.

" This is great, Im Dak nice to meet you ( he gives a bow) i definitely will let you know if i find your trinket, i would be sad if i lost my violin. Its something form my foster parents it means a lot to me.

Aegis raised an eyebrow at the newcomers, but said nothing as they approached. If Mika, Bishop, or Beth were fine with these people, he'd raise no word against them.

Beth is fine with this, provided they can all contribute useful skills to the mission. She greets Dak in a friendly manner, although she seems surprised that he apparently came all this way to look for her. (I'm assuming he has a mount? Long way to run on foot.)
