"We can do that. In the future I can command someone to knock their ally out instead of kill them. Right now we can knock these bandits out ourselves before one kills the other. It would be easy now that there are so many of us. That is, if there is someplace secure where we can lock them up afterwards. I am not familiar with the area."

" Its not that I'm uncomfortable about the tricking itself, it just feels like something odd. Its the getting each other to kill their partner. I mean, couldn't we just take both alive while they are distracted?" Aegis asked, shaking his head. " If not, well, they are horrible people. Barbaric, by the words of their leader that attempted to ambush us." Taking a warriors mind from him sets me at uneasy. If you have this ability then surely others do. I will help as well as far as taking the bandits out.says Kamon-Do

"Neither am I, considering that we are far from a settlement. We might want to figure out what their bosses are planning at least."

Mika comments, "Most of us came here specifically to deal with these bandits. After the first fight, I think we can use all the help we can get!" Looking at the battle between bandits she adds, "If we want them both alive, I think will need to capture them soon, I don't think they're going to last much longer. Beth has manacles in the cart to restrain them."

Bishop nods, "it would improve our chances of finding their hideout if they were taken alive"

Well.... mostly alive. After all they hurt my friends and myself so I would not shed a single tear for their death.Says Kamon-Do

"Agreed". Basnae draws her swords and goes towards the fighting bandits, ready to deal non-lethal damage.

Beth also agrees, and readies her own sword as well.

Aegis, being unsure, will just let himself act last in case there is necessity for him to intervene.

Mika also joins in. The group moves to surround the two battling bandit archers. One of them seems to be aware of being surrounded, but the unrelenting attack from the other prevents her from doing anything about it. Once everyone is in position, they step in and quickly knockout both of the combatants before either is killed.
A few moments later, the two prisoners are stripped of weapons end other valuables, and are manacled to prevent escape.
[tag all, you have 2 captives, what do you want to do next?]

Out of earshot of the bandits Basnae says "I can force them to answer 1-2 questions honestly, but it is tiring work. One question and I'd be able to use a mind control tactic just once more today, 2 questions and I wouldn't be able to use any at all again today. I'm happy to do it if you think its the best strategy."

I'm lost. Did we capture them? or did the other bandits give em up?

I'm lost. Did we capture them? or did the other bandits give em up? We captured them. These are the only bandits in the scene. They are the two archers that you guys were chasing and that Basnae then forced to fight each other. They've been fighting in the background while we were talking. We were able to capture them without a fight because their HP was so low from fighting each other. Now we're going to interrogate them for information about the rest of the bandits.

Correct, you had two melee fighters on each of the bandits, who were both worn out from fighting each other, and weren't particularly good in melee combat (deadly at range though).. Unless the dice really didn't like your group, this combat would have been over in a single round anyway, and it was unlikely that you would've had to spend more resources. So rather than running a combat, I just said you captured them

"Perhaps we should see if they will answer one question, with physical persuasion first, before Basnae forces them? We only need to know where they are camped, right?"
