He can have a pony and a riding saddle. Not the fastest mount, but like the donkey pulling the cart, it's affordable.

As the groups approached, Mika recognizes the holy symbol worn by the heavily armored half elf as that of Melora, one of the goddesses of nature. She says all the newcomers, "Welcome, I think we can use any help we can get wiping out this threat to civilization." Looking specifically at Keiyanna she adds, "I know our gods are sometimes in conflict, but I don't anticipate us causing damage to nature, other than defending ourselves from attacks. So I think we can work together on this."

And maybe we can score some payback on that wizard too. Down the road. (kamon-do looks very upset as she just recently revealed to her companions here and her good friend Thrack what the wizard tried to do to her.)

Kelyanna's halfling companion wishes the group well, but he has business elsewhere, perhaps they will meet up again later.
Otho's player has gotten too busy at work to play.
Having finished their rest, the group gets going again, trying to track the escaped archers to see where they went. That when the group realizes that no one in the group is particularly good at tracking. Still, some members have an inkling of to follow a trail, so they give it their best shot.
Bishop: U3Jf2nolp_1-20+3 = 19 Mika: p_1-20+2 = 14 Daklin: p_1-20+2 = 17 Keiyanna: p_1-20+2 =5
Making use of natural aptitude rather than training, both Bishop and Daklin manage to find the trails of the archers, which soon converge to a single trail. Fortunately, they were moving off the path. It made for slow going with the cart, but made the trail possible to follow. And the cart did not actually slow the group down, since they needed to move slowly not to lose the in any case.
As the group was approaching a small hill (such as the one the archer was on during the attack), they heard the sound of a sword fight on the other side of the hill.
The group rushed around the hill, preparing for combat as they did so. As they rounded the hill, what they saw was surprising. The 2 archers that they had been tracking were fighting each other with swords while sitting on the ground nearby was a third woman that they had not seen before.

"uh," Aegis said quietly, just loud enough for only the group to hear, "are our fleet foes battling each other to the death over the mystery woman or because the lady over there ordered them to?" He'd have to be closer to detect any sort of spellcraft causing compulsion, but it didn't seem like a smart thing for them to be doing this considering that they fled a battle where they nearly died.

Noticing that the travelers didn't try to help the bandits, the women gets up and walks towards the group while the bandits keep fighting. She is human, young, wearing studded leather armor, and two scimitars of elvish make are sheathed on her back. When she's out of earshot of the bandits, she introduces herself. "Hello, my name is Basnae. Don't worry about the two bandits; They will make quick work of each other. We'll just need to finish off whichever one is left" she says with a smile. Looking at the group's armor and drawn weapons she says "you folks look quite capable of handling yourselves in a fight. I am looking for people to help me destroy this bandit horde. Might you be interested?"

" Im Dak at your service and bows and kisses her hand. I must say how did you ever convince them to fight eachother? Cause that is a smart tactic. I take it they captured you out here by yourself?"

"No, they happened upon me on my way back from Thunderspire and attacked me, so I made them attack each other instead. It's a neat trick. As long as we don't attack them there's nothing they can do to escape it, even killing me wouldn't work. I'm a psionic. You might have never heard of it though; It's very rare. I've never even met another psionic before, despite searching. It's not magic, but it's similar."

" I have magic that is similar but its not always that effective. How does it work? I'm very interested because it looks so neat to have. Im sorry there are not many of u, that must be bit lonely. But we can be friends, that way u at least have us even tho we can't do the mind things like u can."

"I'd like that. I can see connections and possibilities that others can't, as if I'm a 3 dimensional person living in a two dimensional realm. Through rigid mental exercises I can turn this awareness into useful augmentations. I've always had it, but it took pouring over whatever scraps of information I could gather on other psionics throughout history to turn it into something practical. Are you all in agreement that you can help me with the bandits?"

"Okay then," Aegis said, face blank as he looked to the others. "Looks like we have another potential friend here. I'm for working with her to take down the bandits, although I'm a little concerned with the whole tricking two people into killing each other thing, albeit as justified as it is."

Being focused on civilization rather than good vs. evil, Mika doesn't have any problem with the mind trick of having one bandit kill another. INstead she asks about other possible uses, "If we keep one alive, could you use your mind trick to have her tell aobut how to get to the bandit base and what traps and ambushes we might find along the way?"
OOC: Mika is not your typical paladin!

"Absolutely. I can make anyone answer a question honestly, or force them to obey one 10 word command for 5 minutes. Although this all takes a great deal of effort, so I can only do any of this a few times a day. My swords take care of the rest. What bothers you about me tricking the bandits into killing each other? I might be able to alter the technique to something you are more comfortable with."

"Its not that I'm uncomfortable about the tricking itself, it just feels like something odd. Its the getting each other to kill their partner. I mean, couldn't we just take both alive while they are distracted?" Aegis asked, shaking his head. "If not, well, they are horrible people. Barbaric, by the words of their leader that attempted to ambush us."
