We'll had back to camp and send back someone to help Primm is he wants it. Goarge and Ka'lion are not seeing a solution so we can come back to it latter or not. There is more to see and right now the clue are not giving us enough information to prove helpful to us.

(assuming George is also ready to leave)
The trip back to camp is uneventful, though George cannot help but feel that there was something more to the lights that was just eluding them.
Shamious is at the forge working on mundane tools - shovels, spades, hammers, nails and the like that had been in short supply as food and other supplies were favoured in the monthly shipments. Elsewhere mages are at work updating maps, crafting, and more than a few enjoying a little time off of their feet after the most recent convergence.
A few inquire as to the groups success.
(25 days until the next teleportation window between this land and the Ka'lions home - the currently window being open 3 days each month)

"It looks like more research needs to be done. So I'll be summoning a new familier tonight." say Ka'lion before searching for the things he'll need.

As might be expected at a wizards camp the materials for the ritual are available.

fruit bats - can see but they also have echo location - fog should no longer be a problem and fruit bats grow up to be about 2 feet tall.

George does his best to entertain questions for those who actually wish to study or gain knowledge of the task and in general.
He basically say to them:
" We could always use more minds at work to continuously ask questions of our realm and those beyond our own. Yet We must use it responsibly. We will never fill all our minds with all knowledge but what what we do find will be the all the worth we can ask for. "

"George - we all ready know all the answers. We just don't know the right questions. What we've learned is spellcasting on the island has side effects near the place of casting and that some spells leave a heat signacure behind that seems to be related to the power level of the spell cast and that the echoed spell may repeat its self as many as few hours later in the form of an illusion or phantam or shadow version of the spell. Or at least that's what I think we learned at this time. We also found tracks or more accurityly scares left behind by the spells we cast in the form of fire burns. And we learned that the storage of the magic seems to tied to the power of the spells and a shapers shapeshifting and turning seems to be ignored by the islands spellcasting side effects - although we didn't stay long enough to be sure. And we learned that it may be helpful to animate some undead with enhanced wisdom and intelagence to be able to see in the semi illusional fog for us. Thats pretty much what we learned. Which is the reason I'm going to summon a foxbat if I can. They can find fruit on the isle that's safe to eat, they have echo location like all bats do, they have good vision and they are as big as a large owl -so they can defend themselves. Fog is no barrier to bats. If it works out I would not be surprised to see a number of bat familiers soon." says Ka'lion

At ground level the fog is more of a light mist most of the time - visibility is pretty decent if not for all the trees. It grows worse as you get higher.
Ka'lions bat arrives. It seems normal enough.
George speaks with a few of the other spellcasters who have various thoughts on the lights. A few note that there are other odd magical effects scattered around the areas they have searched though there doesn't appear to be any order to them and the lights are the only things that respond in this way. Two make plans to head back to help Primm noting that her speciality was glyphs and patterns, but perhaps a pair of fresh eyes would help.

That's fine. He'll take the bat hunting for eatable fruit the net day. What does Goerge want to do next?

George is not exactly sure in that regard. He wants to most likely check on Shamious See how he is doing.
Then put in any requests that shamious is able to make for ka'lion given what is needs for the projects.
George is worried but hidding it best he can and if asked for the first time he will brush it off or advise a different topic.

Shamious isn't really sure what to make of the whole situation but has settled in with the forge here. If nothing else this place seems peaceful.
He has spoken to the mages here and says that their main concern are the odd magical effects that they have found. Each seems localised but the spellcasters are concerned that they are disruptions in the mythal that may grow or become destructive, and that trying to forcibly repair or remove them might damage the divination screen.

"Is there anywhere that strucrures are built - if not the buildings could be invissable or underground or in a demi plane." says Ka'lion

"Why would anyone create a place like this if they don't intend to use it? Unless it as intended as a sacutary for animals or something else? Perhaps trees of gold or silver. Or something just as rare." says Ka'kion turning into a dire fruit bat and going flying with his familier.

With Ka'lion off flying about the forest George settles down to get to know the wizards here and see how their camp has progressed. He finds that many are not related to Ka'lion but instead various students of magic who have studied at the family home, many specialised in their own unique style of magic as opposed to the more regimented nature of guild mages.
They have three tasks here: The first is to build up a new community - buildings, farmland, supplies of water food and other materials. Something they have made little progress on given the state of the camp. The second is to investigate the safety of the location. So far they have found nothing of worry. The third and most interesting is the stability of the mythal. Looking at their maps George notes various magical anomalies which have been marked up including the spell-reactive lights and floating orbs of water that he and Ka'lion encountered earlier.
Each anomaly is a little puzzle that has yet to be unravelled. There is a feeling amongst the group that they are all tied to the mythal itself but how and why is unknown.
With little else to do at the camp waiting for Ka'lions return George asks Elman about his past and the wizard wanders off into a tale of three generations of adventurers from the westlands whose fate was tied to a gateway of ancient elven construction deep beneath a mountain that had somehow opened a portal to realms beyond those of even the gods.
----------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------------------
Elsewhere Ka'lion, putting some distance between himself and the camp, soon comes to understand what the others had said of the mists and altitude. As he flies higher the mists grow thicker hiding landmarks that were previously visible from ground level, and below the land becomes a blanket of treetops that fade away into the mist as he climbs. Worse still the mists themselves seem to turn him around as he loses sight of the ground below as he descends to find his previous points of reference.
The magical misleading appears limited to directional sense, though he had been warned not to climb too high lest the effect become stronger and warp his sense of time as well. Still he is confident of finding his way back so long as he doesn't stray too far.
Aside from the mists his flight is uneventful, but a little past mid-day he notices a heavy storm coming in. To take shelter, return to camp, or continue to fly on?
