"Goerge the Drow elves hunt and kill the other elven races including the childern. It's been going on for thousands of years. All elves think short lived races are inferier to themselves. From what I've heard drow magic dies in the sunlight so I don't think its drow made. As a people they are athetes and slavers. But as a rule the entire race is evil. My cusen was very lucky to servive her fight. " says Kalion

"They weren't after me, we just kind of ran into one another and evidently they didn't wany any witnesses. Not a trusting bunch"
While George and Mazaera settle down for supper Ka'lion tries hunting down some of the escaped animals. He had a good idea where they have gone but actually herding them back to camp proves far more difficult than expected - most not having been here long enough to consider it their home.

Ka'lion will take an additional day if he needs to to get the animals back

It will take at least a day (poor handle animal roll) - leaving George a day to do as he pleases.

George will go over scrolls maps of the area again to see if he missed anything. Yet the other thing he will do is catch up on some well needed sleep and possibly get new spells for the day after ka'lion gets back and has the next destination in mind.

In addition to the locations Ka'lion and George have visited there are several more anomalies indicated on the maps, further out from the camp. The creatively named 'deep fog' is an area of particularly dense magical fog three days west and is somewhat off limits due to the risk of becoming lost within it. The flying forest some five days southwest is normal enough during the day but at night pollen from flows in the area induce a stupor. And finally the shifting sands to the east, almost seven days and the furthest out oddity discovered, is a bank of sand entirely out of place that shifts and flattens out at regular intervals, about twice each day. George also notes that the camp itself is down to six mages. Of those that remain Septimus is crafting potions while Parias is working to replace the scrolls that the group used during the storm. Menelkir states that Elman and Daedolon had speculated the storm effect they saw may have been what is known as a metamagic storm kmansadventures.proboards.com/thread/8969/mage-location-tracker

George will offer to help make some potions and learn. He always wanted to learn to make healing potions.
( I know he needs the feat but i wanted to rp a reason from him getting it eventuly when ever that maybe.)

The mages at the camp don't expect the others to return for several days at least unless something comes up, and longer if the roads go on for some distance.

Which means they could be dead for weeks and no one knows it. At the end of a day of traveling they should of returned. Ka'lion was clear about wanting a report the next day. He was trying to keep the camp safe and all they are going to do is anoiy him by not returnning the next day.

With the start of a tunnel more than half a day away even a single days travel along it - if indeed it is that long - would mean two and a half days before they return.
To this point though the mages have not been keeping particularly strict time schedules. They often meet up before the teleport window to send messages back and forth and then leave camp to try and catch those magical effects that only occur during the window.
Zedek notes that Arcturus has been gone for quite some time now though - the warrior-mage is thinking of looking for him.
(now 21 days until the next teleport window)

With another day of hunting and a little help from the other mages and their spells Ka'lion has managed to round up all but a few of the missing animals.
Zedek advises the group to take plenty of food unless they can summon it for themselves as Arcturus was exploring a swampy area some distance from the camp and travel alone would take several days.

"I'm a barbarain and a shape changers and Goerge often carry's create water and create food and water. Finding enough to eat should not be a problem for a party this size." says Ka'lion, "Goerge food rots very quickly in swamps. We will need our own water just in case."

Zedek gives the group the option of heading out immediately (now that Ka'lion has finished with the animals) or waiting one last day for any news from the others and leaving at dawn.
He adds that wildlife within the swamp could be dangerous and suggests bringing spells and equipment that might be used to fight - though there would be at least one clear day before they got anywhere near the swap so preparing spells now would not be required.

Ka'lion assigns Septimus and Parias to write up complete reports when they get back as to the things they see and how far it is from the group. Creating potions and scolls require them to stay in camp. Onces he's finished the party can leave.

The first couple of days out are uneventful. Into the third day the ground starts to become more treacherous underfoot and a clear path more difficult to find. Zedek explains that the swamp is fed by underground springs and heavily wooded. There were snakes and larger creatures though nothing supernatural that had been seen in previous visits.
(prepare spells are required and any active/precast spells. Also spot checks for all.)
