Ka'lion is able to pick a fairly dry and stable path through the swap, having had some recent practice with it in the Steadlands. He doesn't expect to find any angry lizardmen or hydras here either but snakes, vermin, and carnivorous plants would all be a threat. Aside from the fog which is particularly thick and wet here he doesn't notice anything especially out of place magically. ( ill need an out of game day or two to look over a player book i dont have one where im at next few days. Hopfuly by tusday night ill know what george is preparing.) ok, let me know when you are ready.

What does Ka'lions bat tell him about whatthey cant see in the fod? And Ka'lion cantrips as a wizard are mage hands: useful for removing poisonious snakes, spiders and large bugs without getting bite.

You do realizeI hope that bats hunt insects with their echo cation so their is little they shouldn't see.

The limitation here is range - if and when the fog closes around close it will be useful, but currently both the bat and Ka'lion can see perfectly fine with their eyes out to 50+ meters so the echo-location provides no tangible benefit.

Okay thats helpful. I was thinking it was pea soup - as a boy the most deadly fog I ever saw caused a 50 car pill up on the over pass - we drove past it. Lot's of lights and shadows of cars. But we couldn't see anything else. The next day the pill up was big news around school

But we couldn't see anything else. The next day the pill up was big news around school That happens here when you get higher up - but remember that you were able to navigate with landmarks when you came here.
The fog does get thicker, much thicker, in places - but i'll state when that happens.

George puts up a hand, he can hear something moving in the ankle-deep water but can't see anything nearby. As the party stops to scan the area he loses track of the sound again.

ka'lion tells everyone to get out of the water on the same side as a group. Then he casts mage hand and moves the water around as bate for whatevers in the water.

As Ka'lion splashes the water a huge serpentine root, larger than a human, bursts up not just through the water but the ground beneath as it burrows its way to the surface snapping at the group with massive thorny jaws.
