"Well, perhaps the first thing we should do is find out exactly what we are faced with. Set up a camp far enough away to avoid patrols and survey the situation."

"I agree, we need to check and see what we are getting our selves into. Better to be as cautious as possible before putting any plan into action."
Sven says as she is walking up to Wind.
"It might even be possible to capture some patrolling guards, perhaps they would have some documentation or at least any word of of interest on them. The more we know the more prepared we can be."

Wind nods and draws a bird, then draws an arrow from the bird that criss-crosses the encampment.
He picks his pack up and gets ready to head off.
(Are there any beasts of burden around? We still have our camels?)

"Then let us get moving. No doubt the longer we stay here the more likely we'll be noticed."
Varis gathers up his things, and prepares for the days march fully ready for a fight. They've had the very water attack them, two strangers locate them as well as a group of flaming birds. All in one day. It seemed the desert had different ideas for the secrecy of their mission. And now their numbers were even larger with the freed slaves. They would likely find themselves in another fight today, and Varis was quite content with that. The birds had caused him more wounds than anything else he had fought in quite some time, not that he would openly admit it, and they were just a warmup. He longed for the real fight, when he could raise his sword against the dragon responsible for his ruined homeland. Oh, he would relish that fight. For now, he'd settle for the lesser foes that dared get in his way.

Rose : " Ok well our rangers can do that thing where our tracks are gone again.
Im glad you liked the food. I hope the new plan works out ok. I should pack. "
The party will see she does not have all that much gear, no armor or sheild to speak of. So it was not that great of an excuse.
Perhaps it was her shyness setting in again or the fact that her groups main idea might not have worked to begin with.
Yet she waits for the rangers to cast thier pass without trace spell before she moves a bit a way so that they wont leave tracks.
With the parties passaive proceptions they can hear a bit of sobs behind the wagsled. Yet after a few moments rose emerges and gets to helping the others start to pack up thier things.
( Now you can track at half speed sneaking or going at regular overland speeds.
If you sneak you do get the +10 to sneak rolls. So it depends how far and fast the party wishes to head. )

Callo walks with the ex-slaves. It seemed like a good idea to both try to pick up their spirits with conversation and also to gather a little information about current events in this time.
Her newly re-summoned bird took up position high overhead, invisible and watchful for others in the sands.

Wind produces a cactus bud from seemingly nowhere and shows it to rose. It blooms instantly as he gives it to her.
He proceeds to cautiously walk across to sands with the rangers, offering the camel to someone less healthy.

The flower reminded Callo of the elf 'Glass' whom she had met not long before being caught up in all of this.
Looking down at the the now inconspicuous artefact she still carried from those times she wondered if perhaps the weal at Aren might revive it as it had once created it. But the capitol was far from here and there seemed more pressing concerns for now.

(Sorry, been a chaotic few days. I would imagine a slower pace would be preferred considering the attention we drew the previous day)
Varis walks along the caravan, deep in thought as he glanced about for any signs of life. Gathering the gist of what the ranger had cast upon them, Varis moves ahead a bit to get a better view of what was coming up hoping he remained within the range of their spell. Seems everyone but him could perform some type of magic. He supposed it would prove useful in the fights to come.

( np i had that for myself last few days. My main question now is how close do you/ the party want to have the group get to the Mt range? You only have so much land to cover til you reach the base of the MT range. The party does know the prision is within the Mt range its self that is general knowledge its within the Mts.
That said eventually you will ether zig zag your way to have to back track a bit one way or other to get to the possible main routs into the mt range or reach the base of the mts and go into a mt pass while still looking around
. So my question boils down to : while remaining cautious how far travel wise are you going. The base of the mts is 3/4 of a mile give or take.
Zig zaging while stealthing will of course make you over land speed much slower,)

(Same here, sorry for not posting)
"I propose we try to be as stealthy as possible. These lands are riddled with the Red Army. I have encountered many before I met you all. With a group this large, it will be difficult to maintain cover. I know we are anxious, but again. Caution is the key, we have the advantage and a plan. Let's not take that away by being brash. We should get as close to the my. Range as needed to get any information. It's possible we might be able to take out a scouting party and question them if we come across any."
"What do you all think is the best course of action?"
Sven keeps a keen and sturdy eye on the way forward. Falcor is trotting next to her. Readying herself for anything at this moment.

"The reds will patrol the foothills, so deeper in the desert or higher in the mountains are our choices to remain hidden. Whatever we choose we will soon need food and water for the others so I would suggest we do not take too indirect a route"

"Perhaps we stick deeper in the desert for now, so we can find food and water, if any is to be found near by. From there, we can send some ahead to scout closer to the mountains without having to bring the caravan along.

Rose gives wind a hug, and charishes her gift.
Meanwhile Wind does recall one place they could get too. A way station of sorts to the parties SE in a different Mt rage. It was an inn of sorts tho the owener had never been seen.
As long as u had sometimg of trade or value it was a semi safe place to restock and be away from the red army.
It was tho a bit of a track to get there tho on thier current suplies it was possible to streach it out so they could make it.
Given what the party was looking for it fit all thier current needs.

Wind will indicate the refuge on the sand map, shrug, and begin to head that way.
Also, he will use his wanderer trait to supplement their food/water supply over the course of the day.

Varis looks at the spot of the map that Wind points to, and reaches out to stop him as he changes direction. He couldn't help but chuckle to himself, Wind appeared to be one of direct action as well. No hesitations, he liked that. Still, couldn't let him get too far away.
"Hold up a second, best we stick together."
Varis turns toward the others.
"What do y'all say? Keep heading as we were, or check out this place that Wind seems pretty adamant about?"

So the team does a bit of a turn and heads to what hoped to be a safe haven for the time being.
So i will need :
Survival checks as well as nature checks You can roll ether or.
Winds ability does help them so they are rolled at advantage.
This is a skill challenge : you need x amount of passes before y amoint of fails. Nat 20 counts as 2 pass. Nat 1 counts as 2 fail.
you might have other skills that may help let me know but 4 now mostly for something like this should be nature and survival makes the most sence.
Given its 2ish days give or take makes the chalange less hard.
i will have it be each pc does one roll. Tally resaults. If we need another round of rolls ill let u know. Bless is on each of u as well so remeber you have advantage and extra d4.
with a mid dc: given your not tracking to long of a distance from where your currently are and u have a druid and rangers in the party.
