Ooh, it seems I have made a tactical error. I'll wait to see the map updated (as not all the positions were called), and Zack will wait to see if someone will take out the dog on him before acting.

Also, Zacks only effective melee attack at this point is a blast three, so, if you move your character close to #6, try to leave room for the blast.

Hmm, can you use an eldritch blast as an attack of opportunity? Otherwise, Laira Elereth can only punch or kick for an attack of opportunity, since rods can't be used in melee and right now she isn't holding her halberd in both hands.

You might want to pick up a whip in the future, or look into finding a Pact dagger. There is no armed/disarmed mechanic for opportunity attacks anymore, so you just use unarmed as a basic melee attack (as Eldrich blast and Magic missile are basic ranged attacks, you can't use them).

(#8 is dead) Map updated, sorry about that.

Apparently characters are not considered trained in unarmed combat If you look in the PHB, unarmed is 1d4 with an accuracy bonus of +0, so proficiency is irrelevant (except possibly when you take the "Melee Training" feat into account). That does leave the door open for them to include various martial arts as unarmed weapon types that characters aren't generally proficient in, though.

Gabe's player is pulling out of the game due to overload. He was nice enough to stay around until I could find someone to take over. The new player is currently catching up with the backstory and will be posting here soon. He'll continue to play Gabe until we get back to town, then retire Gabe and bring in his own character (also a leader).

Now that Zachary and Gabe had come over to help defeat the dog that had been threatening him Bharash knew they would cope and moves onto the path so he can get a closer look at what the larger group of dogs was doing. Bharash moves to P20
then starts a scorching burst at J16 catching 4 & 5 To hit 4: [dice=20] +6=11 vs ref
To hit 5: [dice=20] +6=12 vs ref
[dice=6] +4=8 fire damage
He also lets rip with a massive blast of acid which reaches right over to numbers 5 and 7
To hit 5: [dice=20] +6=23 vs ref
To hit 7: [dice=20] +6=12 vs ref
[dice=6] +3=6 acid damage

Remember, the path and statues are difficult terrain, off the path is not. But Bharash can reach P20 by walking beside the path for a while.The metal dogs manage to dodge the burst of flame this time, but only one dodges the acid blast. The other (#5) collapses into a corroded, melted, and battered heap of scrap iron.

Zynthis lands a solid blow, leaving the battered Iron Defender bloodied. As Harknail feels the healing energy surge though his body, he says, "I thank thee master Zynthis."

As Gabe is likely to be late, I'll go ahead and act now. As 6 isn't injured, Nobody is likely to kill it.Realizing that he has backed himself up against the wall, Zachary does his best to give himself some room. Thunderwave: [dice=20] | +8 | = 22 vs Fort White 6 |
That should hit, and Zack will push #6 to S17 (as Bharash has moved), and then move to N16. Zachary's Combat Status:
Health: HP 32/32 - Surges 6/7- Second Wind 1/1 - Action Points 0/1 Encounter Powers: Chill Strike 1/1, Staf of Defence 1/1 Daily Powers: Flaming Sphere 1/1 - Freezing Cloud 0/1 Utility: Shield 0/1 - Feather Fall 0/1 Basic melee: Staff +1, +4/1d8+1 [rand=6750098364091165822852768001793495810133792811868816889894038827]

I cannot see the map. I was looking for opportunities to use the encounter power, but with all the difficult terrain around Thursagan it will be harder to reach without charging.
