Don't forget the +5 to hit from Zynthis Edit: Crap. Oh never mind, I am the one who forgot. I have the world's worst memory. Zynthis didn't grant the +5 this turn. Sorry. That's okay, Thursagan hit anyway. Strangely, its lowest defense is AC! I don't think I've ever seen any other monsters where AC wasn't the highest or at least the second highest defense. I'll be running the monsters turn later tonight.

The Spirit of Winter howls in pain as the Flame Spheres continue to singe it. It launches a fury of blows at Harknail and Thursagan, hitting both. The layer of ice encasing Harknail allowed the beast to do more damage versus Harknail (16 HP), leaving the construct bloodied, while it struck Thursagan only a glancing blow (5 HP). Then the floating gem emitted another two blasts of cold at Sanem and Zachary, missing Zachary but hitting Sanem this time (for 10 HP). Finally the Spirit of Winter exhaled another gale, attempting to blow both Harknail and Zynthis off of the roof. But while his attention was turned, Thursagan able to take advantage of its lapse of attention while it is blowing his teammates over the edge. Both Harknail and Zynthis take damage both from the cold (10 HP) and the 30 foot fall (17 HP) before getting wedged between the carved tower and the ice shell. The fall leaves Harknail unconscious and nearly destroyed and Zynthis bloodied. The Choke Frost settles to the ground as the badly wounded monster is no longer able to sustain it. Zynthis will attempt to stabilize Harknail with his healing skill. If that fails, then he will follow up with a Healing Word. Heal Skill: [dice=20]+9=26 [rand=831715880044057408098326521546517262420194018280105852261399572545]

Gabe climbs to his feet. As he stands he shouts "Thursagan, strike him again! Don't stop, he can't have much life left in him!" his eyes glow red with fury as he shouts, channeling his racial wrath into the command. Move to G3 Minor Infernal Wrath Commander's Strike on Thursagan: [dice=20] | +8+1 | = 28 vs AC | [dice=10] | +4+6+2 | = 19 Damage |
STATUS G = Gabe: AC 19 - Fort 15 - Ref 15 - Will 14 - Speed 6 - Resist 6 Fire, 5 Necrotic HP 22/29 - Heal 9 - Surges 4/7 - Second Wind 1/1 - Action Points 1-1 Encounter: Infernal Wrath 0/1 - Inspiring Word 2/2 - Warlord's Favor 0/1 Encounter: Thunderwave 1/1 - Rub Some Dirt On It 0/1 Daily: Lead the Attack 0/1
Not sure if you will allow infernal wrath on Commander's Strike, if not then no minor action, reduce to hit by 1 and damage by 2. [rand=9683836115388529004525908792079258479943186316120179957440402318786]

Zynthis will attempt to stabilize Harknail with his healing skill. If that fails, then he will follow up with a Healing Word. Zynthis makes his way over to Harknail and checks him over. The construct doesn't seem to be in any danger of bleeding to death simple because it doesn't have any blood. Still Zynthis is able to trigger Harknail's second wind and rouse Harknail without using his magic. Currently they are in a tight spot where ice meets sculpture, so Zynthis had to more or less crawl to Harknail (flavor only, they're in adjacent squares). Zynthis is no longer 'prone'.

The twin strikes from Thursagan prove to be too much for the creatures. The spirit of winter clutches at its chest and howls in agony. A spiderweb of tiny cracks spreads across the sapphire’s surface. Moments later, the next pulse of blue energy surges forward from the gemstone, but its structure is no longer able to contain the elemental forces. The sapphire explodes, tiny shards scattering in all directions. The spirit of winter’s form wavers and blurs and then it collapses into itself in a cloud of white mist.
The icy walls that surround Draigdurroch Tower begin to shudder and tremble. With a great roar, like the sound of a gigantic waterfall made of glass, huge chunks of ice begin breaking apart from the frozen cocoon and falling to the ground below, where they shatter. Within a few seconds, the entire barrier has splintered and collapsed. Leaving Zynthis and Harknail clinging to the wall 10 feet from the ground.
The sky above the tower begins to grow lighter as the gray clouds scatter and disperse. The swirling snow stops falling and the howling of the chill wind falls silent for the first time since you set foot in the Ridge Wood. The world appears suddenly peaceful, as if nature recognizes that its proper course has been restored.
Although the sun is shining on the horizon (it's almost evening), there are still large drifts of snow that will take time to melt.
Combat over, tag all. Infernal wrath isn't allowed with Commanders Strike, but wasn't needed. The double strike referenced above is because Thursagan would have already hit it once from when it ignored his Mark, but this single blow was enough to finish it.

The threat removed Gabe hurries to the side of the tower where Harknail and Zynthis were thrown from and looks down to see that they are alright, "Hang in there guys." He turns to face the rest of the party, "What have we for ropes? Harknail and Zynthis are hanging onto the wall a ways down the side here."

He turns to face the rest of the party, "What have we for ropes? Harknail and Zynthis are hanging onto the wall a ways down the side here." "We be fine" calls up Harknail from below. The tower is so heavily carved that it is only slightly more difficult to climb than a ladder and actually easier to climb than a rope. (Athletics DC 2)

"Oh, well then" Gabe glances down to see if it's just as easy to scale from this height, feeling it's more direct to descend from the outside then to take the floating disc. In any case he calls down to Zynthis, "Zynthis, what was the phrase to make that lift work?"

Looking down the side, Gabe concludes that while the building is impressive in appearance, he has never seen a building so easy to climb. Yes, it is just as easy to climb down from the top.

Sanem will search the rubble of the gem to see if anything shiny or of interest remains: Sanem checks the area carefully but finds nothing more than shards of sapphire, too small to be of any value.

Sorry guys.Zachary determines that there is no magic remaining in the shards of sapphire that Sanem found. No problems, shield is a great spell.
