Is this the last battle? Did we win? I'm ready for level 3 now. Yes, this is the last battle. And yes, you've won, while it is still cold here, you can feel the warming rays of the sun. Temperatures will start to rise, but it will take a while for this much snow to melt. The human town should be fine. The Elf and Shifter towns are a bit closer to here and are probably having to deal with summer snow.
I need to get ready for a trip tomorrow, so I won't have time to figure out the XP total. But I don't think you've quite reached Level 3 yet.
For now, the biggest problem facing the group is deciding where to spend the night. The tower is still cold as a fridge, but outside is covered in snow.

Sanem will attempt to find us a safe shelter for the night using his woodcraft Nature skill check: [rand=495717279095315048909846500679323426358509241118846957121239430021]

Thursagan climbs down as well Athletics: He checks on Harknail, he was a bit concern when he saw him flying over the edge.[rand=1730113448575139506627701222896685384456999599931869693836197257]

"Okay, now that that's finished, where did it come from?" Something seems a little off about this. Was that whole mini ice-age the result of an attack on the Warlock, or the mother of all spell misfires? Is a third party involved (like those ice elementals)? Have we wrapped things up or opened the door for something worse. Zack will be taking notes.

"I think" Gabe says to Zack, "This was a side effect of meddling in affairs not to be meddled in. It looks on the surface to be caused by some outside force - perhaps agents of the natural world - who sought to punish the warlock for his deviations into the infernal arts." The warlord smiles, then begins his descent down the side of the tower - feeling such a climb is far more exhilarating than another lift trip. Having reached the bottom with some difficulty Gabe examines Harknail and Zytnhis, "Anyone in need of some words of inspiration?" He joked, clapping the warforged on the shoulder.[rand=1594572153606260779772835886894743726958386269000326479145563910467]

Zynthis uses his second healing word on himself. [dice=6] +8+3=13 pts healing. Current HP's at 19.
Zynthis says to Gabe "I could use some inspiration about now."[rand=14919240145732667868420876357766079588213034714976388300355358498]

Gabe smiles and puts an arm around the shifter then points to the top of the tower several stories over head, "You sir are a madman, do you realize you practically leapt off of that there tower and are still standing? Not to mention that thanks to you we survived the chill of the ice crystal and vanquished the spirit of winter! You *are* your own source of inspiration Zynthis, search your heart and give yourself some credit!" Inspiring Word(s) on Zynthis: [dice=6] Have your healing surge and eat it too [rand=864113558059253601307793648963195837644834070120075869929324093796]

Laira Elereth will take any alchemical and other magical components of value from the previous floors, and then gather as many books as she can before heading down using her climber's kit.

It was only recently that the cold began to spread, probably having to do with the glyphs scratched into the sapphire. Zachary guesses that it took some time for the Ice Warriors to find the open portals to the Elemental Chaos, and it was they who perverted the enclosing enchantment to freeze the surrounding area. As for who put up the ice in the first place, the journal mentioned “ridiculous faeries” from the Ridge Woods. Zachary thinks that's more likely Eladrin from Feywild than Elves from the elven village. Elves aren't likely to have that kind of power, but high ranking Eladrin most certainly do.

If going down to collect books, you might as well go out the front door, and collect Sart and the prisoner while doing so.

I vote we promote Sart when we get back to town. We also need to teach her the common tongue.

Zack will go back through the tower, collecting books as he goes (whatever he can carry, tilted toward those books in the best condition and of historical significance -- hey, maybe we can sell them for something). He'll try to get Sart to carry a few, and he'll also check up on the ice-goblin prisoner (who, for all we know, might be suffering some negative consequences to the banishment of his power source). "If the ice was originally some kind of reprisal, there may be some unintended consequences to releasing it. We still don't know where the warlock himself got to."

"If the ice was originally some kind of reprisal, there may be some unintended consequences to releasing it. We still don't know where the warlock himself got to." While still cold, the inside of the tower wasn't as bitterly cold as it had been. As long as the Protection from Elements ritual lasts the temperature inside is cool but tolerable. Sart is still on the third floor. She had spent the time searching for valuables but hadn't found anything. When Zachary and Laira reach the ground floor the find the goblin prisoner dead and melting. His body of ice had not been able to survive without the extreme cold radiated from the altered gem. The front door opens easily from inside and the group is together once more. Sanem had found a good sheltered spot to camp outside. It was cold from all the snow, but above freezing. Again the Protection from Elements would keep everyone comfortable until morning. Posted from my phone, please pardon any typos.

Not bad for a phone post. Have any heard about the Google Nexus? It's a phone that will have voice recognition so you can type without a keyboard. But I'm attached to my iPhone for now.

Actually the iPhone has an app that allows you to dictate without a keyboard. It's called Dictate. This message is dictated on my iPhone. Edit: I had the name wrong. It's Dragon Dictation, available here While I am fond of dictating on my computers, the message above is actually my first attempt to dictate on my iPhone.

I clicked on the link and had to download itunes. So I did that and when I synced it erased all my music. Does everyone who upgrades their computer run into this problem. You shouldn't have to be an expert to upgrade your pc and have your songs carried over. It should be automatic. Anyway, is there a way to get your music back? The songs were mostly purchased from the itunes store.
